The current research and development activities in silicon radio-frequency (RF) technologies are first reviewed, accompanied by an illustration of the most pronounced shortcomings of conventional silicon technology in the integrability of RF functions at high GHz frequencies. In the discussion on active RF devices mainly CMOS is investigated due to great interest in this mass-production technology. Issues related to the integration of spiral inductors on silicon are addressed, stressing in particular the difficulty of RF substrate potential definition. Silicon micromachining techniques are highlighted as potential solutions to the integration of RF passives and to reduce substrate losses and cross-talk on silicon. It is explained that micromachining techniques are the best introduced to the silicon mainstream by using post-processing and minimum process complexity.  相似文献

主要综述三代红外光电探测器的材料体系与研究现状,以及分析红外光电探测器的未来发展趋势。首先,简述红外光电探测器及其三个发展阶段。然后,论述适于三代红外光电探测器发展的碲镉汞(HgCdTe)、量子阱光探测(QWIPs,quantum-well photodetectors)、二类应变超晶格(SLS,type-Ⅱ strained-layer superlattices)和量子点红外光探测(QDIPs,quantum dot IR photodetectors)四个材料体系,以及介绍它们在三代红外光电探测器方面的研究进展。最后,分析未来红外光电探测器的材料选择及发展趋势。  相似文献

The current status of research in the field of power semiconductor device models is reviewed. For this purpose, the basic modeling problems and research issues, which have to be overcome in this field, are discussed. Some new and quite promising modeling concepts have been proposed, which are compared with more traditional ways of achieving an efficient tradeoff between the necessary accuracy, required simulation speed, and feasibility of parameter determination. From this comparison, a prediction of the future evolution of circuit simulation models for power semiconductor devices naturally emerges. Many of the different concepts are expected to survive only in an application niche, where their specific points of strength are important. However, three modeling concepts have already been proven to be successfully applicable to the complete spectrum of power semiconductor devices and have their strength for different grades of complexity of the power circuit. A revolutionary development from anticipated or long-due breakthroughs is on the other hand not expected in the foreseeable future  相似文献

Setting aside exaggerated notions of both the benefits and harms to be expected from nanotechnologies, we need to focus ethical investigation on specific initiatives at the nano scale that are already underway or planned. The aims are to anticipate ethical issues likely to arise in specific cases, to foster sensitivity to ethical issues and responsibility among nano specialists and policy makers, and to stimulate interchange between nano specialists and members of the public so that the public can become involved. After clarifying what the term "nanotechnology" embraces and looking at cautionary lessons from experience with the information technologies and biotechnology, the discussion turns to the importance of anticipating consequences, intended and unintended. Although specific nano options to consider are lacking, a brief survey indicates the issues to watch out for: preventable harms, conflicts about justice and fairness, respect for persons, and more specifically, safeguards for workers in new production processes, intellectual property concerns, preservation of university values in university/industry relationships, and conflicts of interest. Three main fronts of activity are needed to address ethical issues: 1) incorporating ethics research into nano research and development enterprises; 2) devising mechanisms to involve the public so that their perspectives and concerns feed back into research and development; and 3) initiating educational efforts at every level addressing both technical aspects and ethics and social implications aspects.  相似文献

A noncomprehensive, bird's-eye flight, given the approximately 6,000 publications in technology over the last two years, was taken over the currently exciting area of nanotechnology research, exploring the area from different perspectives to provide a sense of the state of the art, trends, open problems, and strategic research directions such as the list of enabling technologies needed to be developed to advance nanotechnology's bottom-up approach to material synthesis. One notices from the research surveyed that, apart from carbon nanotubes, fullerenes, fibres, and coatings, nanomaterials are still in their infancy or research stage, which opens up a lot of potential work yet to be done and things to be discovered.  相似文献

An analysis of the data on nanomaterial texturing showed that textures arise even when there are no apparent causes of their formation. It was noted that the texturing problem is particularly urgent for medical and biological applications. The correlation of texturing with nanocrystal shaping was indicated. It was emphasized that the effect of the size factor on nanocrystal morphology is especially pronounced for crystals with linear sizes smaller than 10 nm. It was proposed to control textures of such crystals by the OTED method implemented in the electron microscope column.  相似文献
