Decision-makers have been shown to rely on probabilistic models for perception and action. However, these models can be incorrect or partially wrong in which case the decision-maker has to cope with model uncertainty. Model uncertainty has recently also been shown to be an important determinant of sensorimotor behaviour in humans that can lead to risk-sensitive deviations from Bayes optimal behaviour towards worst-case or best-case outcomes. Here, we investigate the effect of model uncertainty on cooperation in sensorimotor interactions similar to the stag-hunt game, where players develop models about the other player and decide between a pay-off-dominant cooperative solution and a risk-dominant, non-cooperative solution. In simulations, we show that players who allow for optimistic deviations from their opponent model are much more likely to converge to cooperative outcomes. We also implemented this agent model in a virtual reality environment, and let human subjects play against a virtual player. In this game, subjects'' pay-offs were experienced as forces opposing their movements. During the experiment, we manipulated the risk sensitivity of the computer player and observed human responses. We found not only that humans adaptively changed their level of cooperation depending on the risk sensitivity of the computer player but also that their initial play exhibited characteristic risk-sensitive biases. Our results suggest that model uncertainty is an important determinant of cooperation in two-player sensorimotor interactions.  相似文献

Holding inventory of spare parts is critical to assure safety and production. In order to save costs, different producers may collaborate through an inventory pool. We consider an inventory pool of spare parts, subject to a service level constraint, where the members of the pool may have different target service levels, so that they represent different demand classes. The pool is implemented either by round-up or rationing policies. The members should agree on how to share the costs. Based on cooperative game theory concepts, we show the important effects that different targets can have in the core stability for this problem. We perform a computational study in a large number of instances, providing insights on the emptiness of the core and the performance of seven allocation methods. We also propose the novel Minimum Deviation from Service Level Referential Cost Method (MIND). This method looks for a stable allocation such that the maximum difference between a cost allocated to a player and its service level referential cost is minimised. The MIND allocation is the solution to a linear programming model and is core guaranteed, in the sense that if the core is not empty, the allocation belongs to the core.  相似文献

The innovation and development in data science have an impact in all trades of life. The commercialization of sport has encouraged players, coaches, and other concerns to use technology to be in better position than r their opponents. In the past, the focus was on improved training techniques for better physical performance. These days, sports analytics identify the patterns in the performance and highlight strengths and weaknesses of potential players. Sports analytics not only predict the performance of players in the near future but it also performs predictive modeling for a particular behavior of a player in the past. The impact of a smart player on the success of a team is always a big question mark before the start of a match. The fans always want to know performance analysis of these superstar players and they always are interested to get to know more about their favorite player and they always have high hopes from their favorite player. Machine learning (ML) based techniques help in predicting the performance of an individual player as well as for the whole team. The statistics are very vital and useful for management, fans, and expert analysis. In our proposed framework, the adaptive back propagation neural network (ABPNN) model is used for the prediction of a player’s performance. The data is collected from football websites, and the results are stored in the cloud for fast fetching of data. They can be retrieved anywhere in the world through cloud storage. The results are computed with 94% accuracy and the performance of the smart player is formulated for the success of a team.  相似文献

针对目前音乐播放系统的空间和时间受限问题,设计并实现了一种基于移动端的智能音乐播放系统。该系统由移动端软件APP和服务端两部分构成,服务端包括路由器、智能网络机顶盒和音响设备,具备定时播放和移动端实时控制播放的功能。该系统是采用基于STUN(Simple Traversal of User Datagram Protocol over NATs)的网络地址转换(Network Address Translation,NAT)穿透方式的远程控制以及家庭电视网络机顶盒来实现的。它不仅可以实现家庭音响的定时播放,还能通过移动端来远程控制音乐的播放。此外,可以实现歌曲的远程更新和歌曲播放时间的随意控制及更改。实验结果表明,该系统效果良好,具有广阔的应用前景及商业价值,可应用于家庭、商场、学校等有特定需求的环境。文章以家庭音乐播放系统为例进行设计说明。  相似文献

It is shown that the effective dimensions can be estimated at reasonable computational costs using variance based global sensitivity analysis. Namely, the effective dimension in the truncation sense can be found by using the Sobol' sensitivity indices for subsets of variables. The effective dimension in the superposition sense can be estimated by using the first order effects and the total Sobol' sensitivity indices. The classification of some important classes of integrable functions based on their effective dimension is proposed. It is shown that it can be used for the prediction of the QMC efficiency. Results of numerical tests verify the prediction of the developed techniques.  相似文献

A key player in a supply chain (SC) is the member who overlooks and leads others. Although it can compel its autonomous members to follow the planning of a production-distribution network (PDN), the key player has to create an environment in which the partnership with suppliers can also grow accordingly. Without the effective partnership, the efforts increase in managing and integrating the information and material flow across the PDN. Hence, while designing the PDN, the key player has to consider the constraint of the autonomous suppliers also seeking maximum profits as their business goals. In addition, to alleviate the impact of uncertainty on the PDN of a global SC, the strategy of alternative design features is incorporated in the PDN design model. In this paper, the problem for key player's PDN design with alternative design features (KPDN/ADF) is formulated as a bi-level programming problem. An extended genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the KPDN/ADF problem. The experiment results showed that the proposed algorithm can solve the problem satisfactorily. Furthermore, incorporating the product design strategy of alternative design features can make the key player's PDN have better profit under the uncertainty of the currency exchange rate. An illustrative global SC of personal computers/notebooks is also provided to demonstrate the applicability of the KPDN/ADF design model.  相似文献
