We study the unextendible maximally entangled bases (UMEB) in \(\mathbb {C}^{d}\bigotimes \mathbb {C}^{d}\) and connect the problem to the partial Hadamard matrices. We show that for a given special UMEB in \(\mathbb {C}^{d}\bigotimes \mathbb {C}^{d}\), there is a partial Hadamard matrix which cannot be extended to a Hadamard matrix in \(\mathbb {C}^{d}\). As a corollary, any \((d-1)\times d\) partial Hadamard matrix can be extended to a Hadamard matrix, which answers a conjecture about \(d=5\). We obtain that for any d there is a UMEB except for \(d=p\ \text {or}\ 2p\), where \(p\equiv 3\mod 4\) and p is a prime. The existence of different kinds of constructions of UMEBs in \(\mathbb {C}^{nd}\bigotimes \mathbb {C}^{nd}\) for any \(n\in \mathbb {N}\) and \(d=3\times 5 \times 7\) is also discussed.  相似文献

We construct two sets of incomplete and extendible quantum pure orthogonal product states (POPS) in general bipartite high-dimensional quantum systems, which are all indistinguishable by local operations and classical communication. The first set of POPS is composed of two parts which are \(\mathcal {C}^m\otimes \mathcal {C}^{n_1}\) with \(5\le m\le n_1\) and \(\mathcal {C}^m\otimes \mathcal {C}^{n_2}\) with \(5\le m \le n_2\), where \(n_1\) is odd and \(n_2\) is even. The second one is in \(\mathcal {C}^m\otimes \mathcal {C}^n\) \((m, n\ge 4)\). Some subsets of these two sets can be extended into complete sets that local indistinguishability can be decided by noncommutativity which quantifies the quantumness of a quantum ensemble. Our study shows quantum nonlocality without entanglement.  相似文献

Based on spatial conforming and nonconforming mixed finite element methods combined with classical L1 time stepping method, two fully-discrete approximate schemes with unconditional stability are first established for the time-fractional diffusion equation with Caputo derivative of order \(0<\alpha <1\). As to the conforming scheme, the spatial global superconvergence and temporal convergence order of \(O(h^2+\tau ^{2-\alpha })\) for both the original variable u in \(H^1\)-norm and the flux \(\vec {p}=\nabla u\) in \(L^2\)-norm are derived by virtue of properties of bilinear element and interpolation postprocessing operator, where h and \(\tau \) are the step sizes in space and time, respectively. At the same time, the optimal convergence rates in time and space for the nonconforming scheme are also investigated by some special characters of \(\textit{EQ}_1^{\textit{rot}}\) nonconforming element, which manifests that convergence orders of \(O(h+\tau ^{2-\alpha })\) and \(O(h^2+\tau ^{2-\alpha })\) for the original variable u in broken \(H^1\)-norm and \(L^2\)-norm, respectively, and approximation for the flux \(\vec {p}\) converging with order \(O(h+\tau ^{2-\alpha })\) in \(L^2\)-norm. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

In order to solve the problem of embedding the watermark into the quantum color image, in this paper, an improved scheme of using small-scale quantum circuits and color scrambling is proposed. Both color carrier image and color watermark image are represented using novel enhanced quantum representation. The image sizes for carrier and watermark are assumed to be \(2^{n+1}\times 2^{n+2}\) and \(2^{n}\times 2^{n}\), respectively. At first, the color of pixels in watermark image is scrambled using the controlled rotation gates, and then, the scrambled watermark with \(2^n\times 2^n\) image size and 24-qubit gray scale is expanded to an image with \(2^{n+1}\times 2^{n+2}\) image size and 3-qubit gray scale. Finally, the expanded watermark image is embedded into the carrier image by the controlled-NOT gates. The extraction of watermark is the reverse process of embedding it into carrier image, which is achieved by applying operations in the reverse order. Simulation-based experimental results show that the proposed scheme is superior to other similar algorithms in terms of three items, visual quality, scrambling effect of watermark image, and noise resistibility.  相似文献

Two families of new asymmetric quantum codes are constructed in this paper. The first family is the asymmetric quantum codes with length \(n=q^{m}-1\) over \(F_{q}\), where \(q\ge 5\) is a prime power. The second one is the asymmetric quantum codes with length \(n=3^{m}-1\). These asymmetric quantum codes are derived from the CSS construction and pairs of nested BCH codes. Moreover, let the defining set \(T_{1}=T_{2}^{-q}\), then the real Z-distance of our asymmetric quantum codes are much larger than \(\delta _\mathrm{max}+1\), where \(\delta _\mathrm{max}\) is the maximal designed distance of dual-containing narrow-sense BCH code, and the parameters presented here have better than the ones available in the literature.  相似文献

This paper proposes a cost-efficient quantum multiplier–accumulator unit. The paper also presents a fast multiplication algorithm and designs a novel quantum multiplier device based on the proposed algorithm with the optimum time complexity as multiplier is the major device of a multiplier–accumulator unit. We show that the proposed multiplication technique has time complexity \(O((3 {\hbox {log}}_{2}n)+1)\), whereas the best known existing technique has \(O(n{\hbox {log}}_{2} n)\), where n is the number of qubits. In addition, our design proposes three new quantum circuits: a circuit representing a quantum full-adder, a circuit known as quantum ANDing circuit, which performs the ANDing operation and a circuit presenting quantum accumulator. Moreover, the proposed quantum multiplier–accumulator unit is the first ever quantum multiplier–accumulator circuit in the literature till now, which has reduced garbage outputs and ancillary inputs to a great extent. The comparative study shows that the proposed quantum multiplier performs better than the existing multipliers in terms of depth, quantum gates, delays, area and power with the increasing number of qubits. Moreover, we design the proposed quantum multiplier–accumulator unit, which performs better than the existing ones in terms of hardware and delay complexities, e.g., the proposed (\(n\times n\))—qubit quantum multiplier–accumulator unit requires \(O(n^{2})\) hardware and \(O({\hbox {log}}_{2}n)\) delay complexities, whereas the best known existing quantum multiplier–accumulator unit requires \(O(n^{3})\) hardware and \(O((n-1)^{2} +1+n)\) delay complexities. In addition, the proposed design achieves an improvement of 13.04, 60.08 and 27.2% for \(4\times 4\), 7.87, 51.8 and 27.1% for \(8\times 8\), 4.24, 52.14 and 27% for \(16\times 16\), 2.19, 52.15 and 27.26% for \(32 \times 32\) and 0.78, 52.18 and 27.28% for \(128 \times 128\)-qubit multiplications over the best known existing approach in terms of number of quantum gates, ancillary inputs and garbage outputs, respectively. Moreover, on average, the proposed design gains an improvement of 5.62% in terms of area and power consumptions over the best known existing approach.  相似文献

We study mutually unbiased maximally entangled bases (MUMEB’s) in bipartite system \(\mathbb {C}^d\otimes \mathbb {C}^d (d \ge 3)\). We generalize the method to construct MUMEB’s given in Tao et al. (Quantum Inf Process 14:2291–2300, 2015), by using any commutative ring R with d elements and generic character of \((R,+)\) instead of \(\mathbb {Z}_d=\mathbb {Z}/d\mathbb {Z}\). Particularly, if \(d=p_1^{a_1}p_2^{a_2}\ldots p_s^{a_s}\) where \(p_1, \ldots , p_s\) are distinct primes and \(3\le p_1^{a_1}\le \cdots \le p_s^{a_s}\), we present \(p_1^{a_1}-1\) MUMEB’s in \(\mathbb {C}^d\otimes \mathbb {C}^d\) by taking \(R=\mathbb {F}_{p_1^{a_1}}\oplus \cdots \oplus \mathbb {F}_{p_s^{a_s}}\), direct sum of finite fields (Theorem 3.3).  相似文献

We begin by investigating relationships between two forms of Hilbert–Schmidt two-rebit and two-qubit “separability functions”—those recently advanced by Lovas and Andai (J Phys A Math Theor 50(29):295303, 2017), and those earlier presented by Slater (J Phys A 40(47):14279, 2007). In the Lovas–Andai framework, the independent variable \(\varepsilon \in [0,1]\) is the ratio \(\sigma (V)\) of the singular values of the \(2 \times 2\) matrix \(V=D_2^{1/2} D_1^{-1/2}\) formed from the two \(2 \times 2\) diagonal blocks (\(D_1, D_2\)) of a \(4 \times 4\) density matrix \(D= \left||\rho _{ij}\right||\). In the Slater setting, the independent variable \(\mu \) is the diagonal-entry ratio \(\sqrt{\frac{\rho _{11} \rho _ {44}}{\rho _ {22} \rho _ {33}}}\)—with, of central importance, \(\mu =\varepsilon \) or \(\mu =\frac{1}{\varepsilon }\) when both \(D_1\) and \(D_2\) are themselves diagonal. Lovas and Andai established that their two-rebit “separability function” \(\tilde{\chi }_1 (\varepsilon )\) (\(\approx \varepsilon \)) yields the previously conjectured Hilbert–Schmidt separability probability of \(\frac{29}{64}\). We are able, in the Slater framework (using cylindrical algebraic decompositions [CAD] to enforce positivity constraints), to reproduce this result. Further, we newly find its two-qubit, two-quater[nionic]-bit and “two-octo[nionic]-bit” counterparts, \(\tilde{\chi _2}(\varepsilon ) =\frac{1}{3} \varepsilon ^2 \left( 4-\varepsilon ^2\right) \), \(\tilde{\chi _4}(\varepsilon ) =\frac{1}{35} \varepsilon ^4 \left( 15 \varepsilon ^4-64 \varepsilon ^2+84\right) \) and \(\tilde{\chi _8} (\varepsilon )= \frac{1}{1287}\varepsilon ^8 \left( 1155 \varepsilon ^8-7680 \varepsilon ^6+20160 \varepsilon ^4-25088 \varepsilon ^2+12740\right) \). These immediately lead to predictions of Hilbert–Schmidt separability/PPT-probabilities of \(\frac{8}{33}\), \(\frac{26}{323}\) and \(\frac{44482}{4091349}\), in full agreement with those of the “concise formula” (Slater in J Phys A 46:445302, 2013), and, additionally, of a “specialized induced measure” formula. Then, we find a Lovas–Andai “master formula,” \(\tilde{\chi _d}(\varepsilon )= \frac{\varepsilon ^d \Gamma (d+1)^3 \, _3\tilde{F}_2\left( -\frac{d}{2},\frac{d}{2},d;\frac{d}{2}+1,\frac{3 d}{2}+1;\varepsilon ^2\right) }{\Gamma \left( \frac{d}{2}+1\right) ^2}\), encompassing both even and odd values of d. Remarkably, we are able to obtain the \(\tilde{\chi _d}(\varepsilon )\) formulas, \(d=1,2,4\), applicable to full (9-, 15-, 27-) dimensional sets of density matrices, by analyzing (6-, 9, 15-) dimensional sets, with not only diagonal \(D_1\) and \(D_2\), but also an additional pair of nullified entries. Nullification of a further pair still leads to X-matrices, for which a distinctly different, simple Dyson-index phenomenon is noted. C. Koutschan, then, using his HolonomicFunctions program, develops an order-4 recurrence satisfied by the predictions of the several formulas, establishing their equivalence. A two-qubit separability probability of \(1-\frac{256}{27 \pi ^2}\) is obtained based on the operator monotone function \(\sqrt{x}\), with the use of \(\tilde{\chi _2}(\varepsilon )\).  相似文献

In this article, a Galerkin finite element approximation for a class of time–space fractional differential equation is studied, under the assumption that \(u_{tt}, u_{ttt}, u_{2\alpha ,tt}\) are continuous for \(\varOmega \times (0,T]\), but discontinuous at time \(t=0\). In spatial direction, the Galerkin finite element method is presented. And in time direction, a Crank–Nicolson time-stepping is used to approximate the fractional differential term, and the product trapezoidal method is employed to treat the temporal fractional integral term. By using the properties of the fractional Ritz projection and the fractional Ritz–Volterra projection, the convergence analyses of semi-discretization scheme and full discretization scheme are derived separately. Due to the lack of smoothness of the exact solution, the numerical accuracy does not achieve second order convergence in time, which is \(O(k^{3-\beta }+k^{3}t_{n+1}^{-\beta }+k^{3}t_{n+1}^{-\beta -1})\), \(n=0,1,\ldots ,N-1\). But the convergence order in time is shown to be greater than one. Numerical examples are also included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

Let \(H_{1}, H_{2},\ldots ,H_{n}\) be separable complex Hilbert spaces with \(\dim H_{i}\ge 2\) and \(n\ge 2\). Assume that \(\rho \) is a state in \(H=H_1\otimes H_2\otimes \cdots \otimes H_n\). \(\rho \) is called strong-k-separable \((2\le k\le n)\) if \(\rho \) is separable for any k-partite division of H. In this paper, an entanglement witnesses criterion of strong-k-separability is obtained, which says that \(\rho \) is not strong-k-separable if and only if there exist a k-division space \(H_{m_{1}}\otimes \cdots \otimes H_{m_{k}}\) of H, a finite-rank linear elementary operator positive on product states \(\Lambda :\mathcal {B}(H_{m_{2}}\otimes \cdots \otimes H_{m_{k}})\rightarrow \mathcal {B}(H_{m_{1}})\) and a state \(\rho _{0}\in \mathcal {S}(H_{m_{1}}\otimes H_{m_{1}})\), such that \(\mathrm {Tr}(W\rho )<0\), where \(W=(\mathrm{Id}\otimes \Lambda ^{\dagger })\rho _{0}\) is an entanglement witness. In addition, several different methods of constructing entanglement witnesses for multipartite states are also given.  相似文献

We present an approach to single-shot high-fidelity preparation of an n-qubit state based on neighboring optimal control theory. This represents a new application of the neighboring optimal control formalism which was originally developed to produce single-shot high-fidelity quantum gates. To illustrate the approach, and to provide a proof-of-principle, we use it to prepare the two-qubit Bell state \(|\beta _{01}\rangle = (1/\sqrt{2})\left[ \, |01\rangle + |10\rangle \,\right] \) with an error probability \(\varepsilon \sim 10^{-6}\) (\(10^{-5}\)) for ideal (non-ideal) control. Using standard methods in the literature, these high-fidelity Bell states can be leveraged to fault-tolerantly prepare the logical state \(|\overline{\beta }_{01}\rangle \).  相似文献

We propose an optical scheme to prepare large-scale maximally entangled W states by fusing arbitrary-size polarization entangled W states via polarization-dependent beam splitter. Because most of the currently existing fusion schemes are suffering from the qubit loss problem, that is the number of the output entangled qubits is smaller than the sum of numbers of the input entangled qubits, which will inevitably decrease the fusion efficiency and increase the number of fusion steps as well as the requirement of quantum memories, in our scheme, we design a effect fusion mechanism to generate \(W_{m+n}\) state from a n-qubit W state and a m-qubit W state without any qubit loss. As the nature of this fusion mechanism clearly increases the final size of the obtained W state, it is more efficient and feasible. In addition, our scheme can also generate \(W_{m+n+t-1}\) state by fusing a \(W_m\), a \(W_n\) and a \(W_t\) states. This is a great progress compared with the current scheme which has to lose at least two particles in the fusion of three W states. Moreover, it also can be generalized to the case of fusing k different W states, and all the fusion schemes proposed here can start from Bell state as well.  相似文献

In the present paper, we propose a new method to inexpensively determine a suitable value of the regularization parameter and an associated approximate solution, when solving ill-conditioned linear system of equations with multiple right-hand sides contaminated by errors. The proposed method is based on the symmetric block Lanczos algorithm, in connection with block Gauss quadrature rules to inexpensively approximate matrix-valued function of the form \(W^Tf(A)W\), where \(W\in {\mathbb {R}}^{n\times k}\), \(k\ll n\), and \(A\in {\mathbb {R}}^{n\times n}\) is a symmetric matrix.  相似文献

It is known that the n-qubit system has no unextendible product bases (UPBs) of cardinality \(2^n-1\), \(2^n-2\) and \(2^n-3\). On the other hand, the n-qubit UPBs of cardinality \(2^n-4\) exist for all \(n\ge 3\). We prove that they do not exist for cardinality \(2^n-5\).  相似文献

In order to find the least squares solution of minimal norm to linear system \(Ax=b\) with \(A \in \mathcal{C}^{m \times n}\) being a matrix of rank \(r< n \le m\), \(b \in \mathcal{C}^{m}\), Zheng and Wang (Appl Math Comput 169:1305–1323, 2005) proposed a class of symmetric successive overrelaxation (SSOR) methods, which is based on augmenting system to a block \(4 \times 4\) consistent system. In this paper, we construct the unsymmetric successive overrelaxation (USSOR) method. The semiconvergence of the USSOR method is discussed. Numerical experiments illustrate that the number of iterations and CPU time for the USSOR method with the appropriate parameters is respectively less and faster than the SSOR method with optimal parameters.  相似文献

What is the minimal number of elements in a rank-1 positive operator-valued measure (POVM) which can uniquely determine any pure state in d-dimensional Hilbert space \(\mathcal {H}_d\)? The known result is that the number is no less than \(3d-2\). We show that this lower bound is not tight except for \(d=2\) or 4. Then we give an upper bound \(4d-3\). For \(d=2\), many rank-1 POVMs with four elements can determine any pure states in \(\mathcal {H}_2\). For \(d=3\), we show eight is the minimal number by construction. For \(d=4\), the minimal number is in the set of \(\{10,11,12,13\}\). We show that if this number is greater than 10, an unsettled open problem can be solved that three orthonormal bases cannot distinguish all pure states in \(\mathcal {H}_4\). For any dimension d, we construct \(d+2k-2\) adaptive rank-1 positive operators for the reconstruction of any unknown pure state in \(\mathcal {H}_d\), where \(1\le k \le d\).  相似文献

We study the Z(2) gauge-invariant neural network which is defined on a partially connected random network and involves Z(2) neuron variables \(S_i\) (\(=\pm \)1) and Z(2) synaptic connection (gauge) variables \(J_{ij}\) (\(=\pm \)1). Its energy consists of the Hopfield term \(-c_1S_iJ_{ij}S_j\), double Hopfield term \(-c_2 S_iJ_{ij}J_{jk} S_k\), and the reverberation (triple Hopfield) term \(-c_3 J_{ij}J_{jk}J_{ki}\) of synaptic self interactions. For the case \(c_2=0\), its phase diagram in the \(c_3-c_1\) plane has been studied both for the symmetric couplings \(J_{ij}=J_{ji}\) and asymmetric couplings (\(J_{ij}\) and \(J_{ji}\) are independent); it consists of the Higgs, Coulomb and confinement phases, each of which is characterized by the ability of learning and/or recalling patterns. In this paper, we consider the phase diagram for the case of nonvanishing \(c_2\), and examine its effect. We find that the \(c_2\) term enlarges the region of Higgs phase and generates a new second-order transition. We also simulate the dynamical process of learning patterns of \(S_i\) and recalling them and measure the performance directly by overlaps of \(S_i\). We discuss the difference in performance for the cases of Z(2) variables and real variables for synaptic connections.  相似文献

In this work, the effect of Hawking radiation on the quantum Fisher information (QFI) of Dirac particles is investigated in the background of a Schwarzschild black hole. Interestingly, it has been verified that the QFI with respect to the weight parameter \(\theta \) of a target state is always independent of the Hawking temperature T. This implies that if we encode the information on the weight parameter, then we can affirm that the corresponding accuracy of the parameter estimation will be immune to the Hawking effect. Besides, it reveals that the QFI with respect to the phase parameter \(\phi \) exhibits a decay behavior with the increase in the Hawking temperature T and converges to a nonzero value in the limit of infinite Hawking temperature T. Remarkably, it turns out that the function \(F_\phi \) on \(\theta =\pi \big /4\) symmetry was broken by the influence of the Hawking radiation. Finally, we generalize the case of a three-qubit system to a case of a N-qubit system, i.e., \(|\psi \rangle _{1,2,3,\ldots ,N} =(\cos \theta | 0 \rangle ^{\otimes N}+\sin \theta \mathrm{e}^{i\phi }| 1 \rangle ^{\otimes N})\) and obtain an interesting result: the number of particles in the initial state does not affect the QFI \(F_\theta \), nor the QFI \(F_\phi \). However, with the increasing number of particles located near the event horizon, \(F_\phi \) will be affected by Hawking radiation to a large extent, while \(F_\theta \) is still free from disturbance resulting from the Hawking effects.  相似文献

This work is concerned with the study of two-level penalty finite element method for the 2D/3D stationary incompressible magnetohydrodynamics equations. The new method is an interesting combination of the Newton iteration and two-level penalty finite element algorithm with two different finite element pairs \(P_{1}b\)-\(P_{1}\)-\(P_{1}b\) and \(P_{1}\)-\(P_{0}\)-\(P_{1}\). Moreover, the rigorous analysis of stability and error estimate for the proposed method are given. Numerical results verify the theoretical results and show the applicability and effectiveness of the presented scheme.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the optimal discrimination of two mixed qubit states for a measurement that allows a fixed rate of inconclusive results. Our strategy is to transform the problem of two qubit states into a minimum error discrimination for three qubit states by adding a specific quantum state \(\rho _{0}\) and a prior probability \(q_{0}\), which behaves as an inconclusive degree. First, we introduce the beginning and the end of practical interval of inconclusive result, \(q_{0}^{(0)}\) and \(q_{0}^{(1)}\), which are key ingredients in investigating our problem. Then we obtain the analytic form of them. Next, we show that our problem can be classified into two cases \(q_{0}=q_{0}^{(0)}\) (or \(q_{0}=q_{0}^{(1)}\)) and \(q_{0}^{(0)}<q_{0}<q_{0}^{(1)}\). In fact, by maximum confidences of two qubit states and non-diagonal element of \(\rho _{0}\), our problem is completely understood. We provide an analytic solution of our problem when \(q_{0}=q_{0}^{(0)}\) (or \(q_{0}=q_{0}^{(1)}\)). However, when \(q_{0}^{(0)}<q_{0}<q_{0}^{(1)}\), we rather supply the numerical method to find the solution, because of the complex relation between inconclusive degree and corresponding failure probability. Finally we confirm our results using previously known examples.  相似文献
