Two infrared absorption bands of CH2D2 have been analyzed in the semirigid rotor approximation. These are the A-type band at 2671.67 cm−1 and the C-type band at 4425.61 cm−1. The A-type band has previously been assigned as v3+v9, and the C-type band is tentatively assigned as v3+v6 The upper state of the A-type band is perturbed presumably by the close lying level 2v5. This interaction has not been investigated. The following values were found for the rotational constants of the ground vibrational state: A0=4.303 cm−1, B0= 3.504 cm−1, C0= 3.049 cm−1.  相似文献

A systematic study of La-based perovskite-type oxides from the viewpoint of their electronic conduction properties was performed. LaCo0.5Ni0.5Oδ was found to be a promising candidate as a replacement for standard metals used in oxide electrodes and wiring that are operated at temperatures up to 1173 K in air because of its high electrical conductivity and stability at high temperatures. LaCo0.5Ni0.5Oδ exhibits a high conductivity of 1.9 × 103 S cm−1 at room temperature (R.T.) because of a high carrier concentration n of 2.2 × 1022 cm−3 and a small effective mass m∗ of 0.10 me. Notably, LaCo0.5Ni0.5Oδ exhibits this high electrical conductivity from R.T. to 1173 K, and little change in the oxygen content occurs under these conditions. LaCo0.5Ni0.5Oδ is the most suitable for the fabrication of oxide electrodes and wiring, though La1−xSrxCoOδ and La1−xSrxMnOδ also exhibit high electronic conductivity at R.T., with maximum electrical conductivities of 4.4 × 103 S cm−1 for La0.5Sr0.5CoOδ and 1.5 × 103 S cm−1 for La0.6Sr0.4MnOδ because oxygen release occurs in La1−xSrxCoOδ as elevating temperature and the electrical conductivity of La0.6Sr0.4MnOδ slightly decreases at temperatures above 400 K.  相似文献

Microcrystals of α-tetragonal (α-t) boron with unit cell parameters a=9.05077(6) and c=5.13409(6) Å and measured density 2.16–2.22 g cm−3 were obtained by pyrolysis of decaborane B10H14 at pressures of 8–9 GPa and temperatures of 1100–1600 C. The crystal structure is in good agreement with the model proposed by Hoard et al (1958 J. Am. Chem. Soc. 80 4507). However, compared to the original model, we found small deformations of icosahedra and changes in the interatomic distances within the unit cell of the synthesized α-t boron.  相似文献

We consider the feasibility of basing a pressure standard on measurements of the dielectric constant ϵ and the thermodynamic temperature T of helium near 0 °C. The pressure p of the helium would be calculated from fundamental constants, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics. At present, the relative standard uncertainty of the pressure ur(p) would exceed 20 × 10−6, the relative uncertainty of the value of the molar polarizability of helium Aϵ calculated ab initio. If the relativistic corrections to Aϵ were calculated as accurately as the classical value is now known, a capacitance-based pressure standard might attain ur(p) < 6 × 10−6 for pressures near 1 MPa, a result of considerable interest for pressure metrology. One obtains p by eliminating the density from the virial expansions for p and ϵ − 1. If ϵ − 1 were measured with a very stable, 0.5 pF toroidal cross capacitor, the small capacitance and the small values of ϵ − 1 would require state-of-the-art capacitance measurements to achieve a useful pressure standard.  相似文献

The specific volumes of unvulcanized natural rubber and of a peroxide-cured vulcanizate of natural rubber were measured at pressures of 1–500 kg/cm2 at temperatures from 0 to 25 °C. Observations on mercury-filled dilatometers were made through a window in the pressure system. No time effects or hysteresis phenomena were observed. The specific volume V in cm3/e over the range studied can be represented by VV0,25{1 + A(t ? 25)}{1 + [α25k1(t ? 25)]P + [β25k2(t ? 25)]P2}where P is the pressure in kg/cm2, and t the temperature in °C. The constants for the unvulcanized and for the peroxide-cured samples are:
  • V0,25= 1.0951 and 1.1032 cm3/g;
  • 104A = 6.54 and 6.36 per degree;
  • 106α25= −50.5 and −50.4 (kg/cm2)−1;
  • 106k1 = −0.227 and −0.203 per degree;
  • 109β25= 10 and 11.5 (kg/cm2)−2;
  • and 109k2=0.048 and 0.073 per degree, respectively. The compressibility of unvulcanized natural rubber at 25° and 1 kg/cm2 is thus 50.5×10−6 (kg/cm2)−1 falling to 40.6×10−6 (kg/cm2) −1 at a pressure of 500 kg/cm2. It is concluded that a low degree of vulcanization produces no significant changes in the constants listed. The values are not far different from those obtained by extrapolating to zero sulfur content the observations of Scott on the rubbersulfur system. Calculations of values of compressibility (and its reciprocal the bulk modulus), “internal pressure”, bulk wave velocity, difference between specific heats, and several other physical properties are in reasonable agreement with those obtained by direct observation by other workers. For the prediction of values at pressures above 500 kg/cm2 the use of the Tait equation is recommended.

The frequencies of the vibration-rotation spectrum of N2O have been measured from 1830 cm−1 to 2270 cm−1. A number of weak bands have been measured and assigned to “hot bands’’ and isotopic species in normal abundance. By using the Ritz principle and previously measured bands the bending frequency (v2) is calculated as 588.780 cm−1. Frequencies are given for lines arising from the three principal transitions found in this region.  相似文献

A windowless vacuum ultraviolet monochromator and mass spectrometer are combined for the study of photoionization processes in the energy range 2000 to 600 A (6 to 21 eV). Details of the apparatus and techniques of operation are given and results are reported for an initial study of acetylene, acetylene-d2, benzene, and benzene-d6. Ionization energies of 11.406 and 11.416 eV are obtained for the 1πu electron of C2H2 and C2D2, respectively. Vibrational levels of the ground state of the ion are observed with quantum intervals of 1855 cm−1(C2H2) and 1775 cm−1(C2D2). Ionization energies for the e1g(π) electron of C6H6 and C6D6 are determined to be 9.242 and 9.245 eV, respectively. Quantum intervals for vibrational levels of the ground state ions are apparently equal for the two isotopic molecules and estimated to be 800 cm−1. A second onset of ionization is observed at 11.53 eV for C6H6 and at 11.59 eV for C6D6. Results agree well with spectroscopic data.  相似文献

Lead-free piezoelectric ceramics (1−x)(Na0.5K0.5)NbO3-xBiFeO3 (x=0∼0.07) were synthesized by the solid-state reaction. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements revealed that an increase in the amount of BiFeO3 dopant resulted in a decrease in the orthorhombic-tetragonal and tetragonal-cubic phase transition temperature of the material. One percent BiFeO3 additive suppressed grain growth, which not only benefits the sintering of ceramics but also enhances the piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties, where d33=145pC/N, kp=0.31, Qm=80, Pr=11.3 μC cm−2 and Ec=16.5 kV cm−1. As xBF>0.01, both piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties decreased rapidly with an increasing amount of dopant.  相似文献

In the meson exchange model of weak nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions, the exchange of virtual mesons between the nucleons is parameterized by a set of weak meson exchange amplitudes. The strengths of these amplitudes from theoretical calculations are not well known, and experimental measurements of parity-violating (PV) observables in different nuclear systems have not constrained their values. Transversely polarized cold neutrons traveling through liquid helium experience a PV spin rotation due to the weak interaction with an angle proportional to a linear combination of these weak meson exchange amplitudes. A measurement of the PV neutron spin rotation in helium (φPV (n,α)) would provide information about the relative strengths of the weak meson exchange amplitudes, and with the longitudinal analyzing power measurement in the p + α system, allow the first comparison between isospin mirror systems in weak NN interaction. An earlier experiment performed at NIST obtained a result consistent with zero: φPV (n,α) = (8.0 ±14(stat) ±2.2(syst)) ×10−7 rad / m[1]. We describe a modified apparatus using a superfluid helium target to increase statistics and reduce systematic effects in an effort to reach a sensitivity goal of 10−7 rad/m.  相似文献

A parallel band at 2,200 cm−1 and a perpendicular band at 2,780 cm−1 of CH3D have been observed under high resolution and analysed. The analysis of the perpendicular band revealed the presence of l-type doubling in the doubly degenerate excited state. From the analysis of the parallel band it is found that B0= 3.880 cm−1. A hybrid band of CD3H has been observed near 2,600 cm−1. Both active components, A and E are observed and analysed. The ground state B0 value found from this analysis is in good agreement with previous determinations.  相似文献

Since the discovery of the mechanism of adhesion in geckos, many synthetic dry adhesives have been developed with desirable gecko-like properties such as reusability, directionality, self-cleaning ability, rough surface adhesion and high adhesive stress. However, fully exploiting these adhesives in practical applications at different length scales requires efficient scaling (i.e. with little loss in adhesion as area grows). Just as natural gecko adhesives have been used as a benchmark for synthetic materials, so can gecko adhesion systems provide a baseline for scaling efficiency. In the tokay gecko (Gekko gecko), a scaling power law has been reported relating the maximum shear stress σmax to the area A: σmaxA−1/4. We present a mechanical concept which improves upon the gecko''s non-uniform load-sharing and results in a nearly even load distribution over multiple patches of gecko-inspired adhesive. We created a synthetic adhesion system incorporating this concept which shows efficient scaling across four orders of magnitude of area, yielding an improved scaling power law: σmaxA−1/50. Furthermore, we found that the synthetic adhesion system does not fail catastrophically when a simulated failure is induced on a portion of the adhesive. In a practical demonstration, the synthetic adhesion system enabled a 70 kg human to climb vertical glass with 140 cm2 of adhesive per hand.  相似文献

The low energy (Eβmax = 66.945 keV ± 0.004 keV) β-emitter 63Ni has become increasingly important in the field of radionuclidic metrology. In addition to having a low β-endpoint energy, the relatively long half-life (101.1 a ± 1.4 a) makes it an appealing standard for such applications. This paper describes the recent preparation and calibration of a new solution Standard Reference Material of 63Ni, SRM 4226C, released by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The massic activity CA for these standards was determined using 4πβ liquid scintillation (LS) spectrometry with 3H-standard efficiency tracing using the CIEMAT/NIST method, and is certified as 50.53 kBq ·g−1 ± 0.46 Bq · g−1 at the reference time of 1200 EST August 15, 1995. The uncertainty given is the expanded (coverage factor k = 2 and thus a 2 standard deviation estimate) uncertainty based on the evaluation of 28 different uncertainty components. These components were evaluated on the basis of an exhaustive number (976) of LS counting measurements investigating over 15 variables. Through the study of these variables it was found that LS cocktail water mass fraction and ion concentration play important roles in cocktail stability and consistency of counting results. The results of all of these experiments are discussed.  相似文献

We are developing an experiment to measure the correlations a, A, and B, and the Fierz interference term b in neutron decay, with a precision of approximately 10−4. The experiment uses an electromagnetic spectrometer in combination with two large-area segmented silicon detectors to detect the proton and electron from the decay in coincidence, with 4π acceptance for both particles. For the neutron-polarization-dependent observables A and B, precision neutron polarimetry is achieved through the combination of a pulsed neutron beam, under construction at the SNS, and a polarized 3He neutron polarizer. Measuring a and A in the same apparatus provides a redundant determination of λ = gA/gV. Uncertainty in λ dominates the uncertainty of CKM unitarity tests.  相似文献

Undoped and Eu3+-doped CaF2–SiO2 gels were prepared by the sol–gel method and their optical properties have been studied. The UV–VIS–NIR absorption and photoluminescence spectra have shown the bands typical for the Eu3+ ions transitions. When the Eu-doped gel is annealed at temperatures up to 800 °C (i.e. above the CaF2 crystallisation peak at 460 °C) the photoluminescence spectra intensity increase, the 590 nm (5D07F1) and 620 nm (5D07F2) luminescence bands become comparable and a structuring of the 620 nm band is observed. The phonon sidebands peaks associated with the 5F07D2 transition of the Eu3+ ion were observed at around 1000 and 620 cm−1 and have been assigned to the Si–O and Ca–O bonds, respectively. A phonon sideband signal in the range of 300–400 cm−1 was attributed to Ca–F bonds in the precipitated CaF2 phase. From the optical absorption, photoluminescence and phonon sidebands spectra we have concluded that in the gels annealed at 800 °C, the Eu3+ ions are incorporated into the silica network and in the precipitated CaF2 phase.  相似文献

We consider an arbitrary mapping f: {0, …, N − 1} → {0, …, N − 1} for N = 2n, n some number of quantum bits. Using N calls to a classical oracle evaluating f(x) and an N-bit memory, it is possible to determine whether f(x) is one-to-one. For some radian angle 0 ≤ θ ≤ π/2, we say f(x) is θconcentrated if and only if e2πif(x)/N ? ei[ψ0?θ,ψ0+θ] for some given ψ0 and any 0 ≤ xN − 1. We present a quantum algorithm that distinguishes a θ-concentrated f(x) from a one-to-one f(x) in O(1) calls to a quantum oracle function Uf with high probability. For 0 < θ < 0.3301 rad, the quantum algorithm outperforms random (classical) evaluation of the function testing for dispersed values (on average). Maximal outperformance occurs at θ=12sin11π0.1620 rad.  相似文献

Carrier-free 209Po solution standards have been prepared and calibrated. The standards, which will be disseminated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as Standard Reference Material SRM 4326, consist of (5.1597 ±0.0024) g of a solution of polonium in nominal 2 mol · L−1 hydrochloric acid (having a solution density of (1.031±0.004) g · mL−1 at 22 °C) that is contained in 5 mL flame-sealed borosilicate glass ampoules, and are certified to contain a 209Po alpha-particle emission rate concentration of (85.42±0.29) s−1 · g−1 (corresponding to a 209Po activity concentration of (85.83 ±0.30) Bq · g−1) as of the reference time of 1200 EST 15 March 1994. The calibration was based on 4πα liquid scintillation (LS) measurements with two different LS counting systems and under wide variations in measurement and sample conditions. Confirmatory measurements by 2πα gas-flow proportional counting were also performed. The only known radionuclidic impurity, based on α- and photon-emission spectrometry, is a trace quantity of 208Po. The 208Po to 209Po impurity ratio as of the reference time was 0.00124 ±0.00020. All of the above cited uncertainty intervals correspond to a combined standard uncertainty multiplied by a coverage factor of k = 2. Although 209Po is nearly a pure α emitter with only a weak electron capture branch to 209Bi, LS measurements of the 209Po a decay are confounded by an a transition to a 2.3 keV (Jπ= 1/2) level in 205Pb which was previously unknown to be a delayed isomeric state.  相似文献

Iron chalcogenides, binary FeSe, FeTe and ternary FeTexSe1−x, FeTexS1−x and FeTe:Ox, are the simplest compounds amongst the recently discovered iron-based superconductors. Thin films of iron chalcogenides present many attractive features that are covered in this review, such as: (i) easy fabrication and epitaxial growth on common single-crystal substrates; (ii) strong enhancement of superconducting transition temperature with respect to the bulk parent compounds (in FeTe0.5Se0.5, zero-resistance transition temperature Tc0bulk = 13.5 K, but Tc0film = 19 K on LaAlO3 substrate); (iii) high critical current density (Jc ∼ 0.5 ×106 A cm2 at 4.2 K and 0 T for FeTe0.5Se0.5 film deposited on CaF2, and similar values on flexible metallic substrates (Hastelloy tapes buffered by ion-beam assisted deposition) with a weak dependence on magnetic field; (iv) high upper critical field (∼50 T for FeTe0.5Se0.5, Bc2(0), with a low anisotropy, γ ∼ 2). These highlights explain why thin films of iron chalcogenides have been widely studied in recent years and are considered as promising materials for applications requiring high magnetic fields (20–50 T) and low temperatures (2–10 K).  相似文献

The NPDGamma experiment will measure the parity-violating directional gamma ray asymmetry Aγ in the reaction n+pd+γ. Ultimately, this will constitute the first measurement in the neutron-proton system that is sensitive enough to challenge modern theories of nuclear parity violation, providing a theoretically clean determination of the weak pion-nucleon coupling. A new beam-line at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) delivers pulsed cold neutrons to the apparatus, where they are polarized by transmission through a large volume polarized 3He spin filter and captured in a liquid para-hydrogen target. The 2.2 MeV gamma rays from the capture reaction are detected in an array of CsI(Tl) scintillators read out by vacuum photodiodes operated in current mode. We will complete commissioning of the apparatus and carry out a first measurement at LANSCE in 2004–05, which would provide a statistics-limited result for Aγ accurate to a standard uncertainty of ±5 × 10−8 level or better, improving on existing measurements in the neutron-proton system by a factor of 4. Plans to move the experiment to a reactor facility, where the greater flux would enable us to make a measurement with a standard uncertainty of ±1 × 10−8, are actively being pursued for the longer term.  相似文献

Mastitis is an important economic disease causing production losses in dairy industry. Antibiotics are becoming ineffective in controlling mastitis due to the emergence of resistant strains requiring the development of novel therapeutic agents. In this study, the authors present the phytochemical synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with acetyl‐11‐α‐keto‐β‐boswellic acid and evaluation of their activity in Staphylococcus aureus induced murine mastitis. Boswellic acid mediated AgNP (BANS) were oval, polydispersed (99.8 nm) with an minimum inhibitory concentration of 0.033 µg ml−1 against S. aureus, inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 30.04 µg ml−1 on mouse splenocytes and safe at an in vivo acute oral dose of 3.5 mg kg−1 in mice. Mastitis was induced in lactating mice by inoculating S. aureus (log10 5.60 cfu) and treated 6 h post‐inoculation with BANS (0.12 mg kg−1, intramammary and intraperitoneal), and cefepime (1 mg kg−1, intraperitoneal). S. aureus inoculated mice showed increased bacterial load, neutrophil infiltration in mammary glands and elevated C‐reactive protein (CRP) in serum. Oxidative stress was also observed with elevated malondialdehyde level, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities. BANS treatment significantly (P  < 0.05) reduced bacterial load, CRP, SOD, CAT activities and neutrophil infiltration in affected mammary glands. The spectrum of doubly ionized tungsten (W III) was produced in a sliding-spark discharge and recorded photographically on the NIST 10.7-m normal-incidence vacuum spectrograph in the 600–2680 Å spectral region. The analysis has led to the establishment of 71 levels of the interacting 5d4, 5d3 6s and 5d2 6s2 even configurations and 164 levels of the interacting 5d3 6p and 5d2 6s 6p odd ones. A total of 2636 lines have been classified as transitions between the 235 experimentally determined levels. Comparison between the observed levels and those calculated from matrix diagonalizations with least-squares fitted parameters shows an rms deviation of ±87 cm−1 for the even configurations and ±450 cm−1 for the odd ones.  相似文献
