Latest Business Development of CNOOC

Oil field in South China Sea put into production CNOOC Limited, of which China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is the parent company, announced on November 15 that Huizhou 19-3/2/1 field has produced first oil from Huizhou 19-3-1 Well at a rate of 6500 barrels per day. More wells in the block will be brought on stream gradually. Huizhou 19-3/2/1 field is located in block 16/08 and 16/19 about 120 kilometers southeast of Hong Kong in Eastern South China Sea.

COSL Successfully Issues IPO at HKSE

On November 20, 2002, China Oilfield Services Ltd (COSL), majority held by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange under the code 2883. COSL opened its first trading day at HK$1.84,9.5% up from the IPO price, and closed at HK$1.89, gaining 12.5%. The trading volume reached 561 million shares.

CNOOC, TARC Jointly to Explore for Pearl River Mouth Basin

China National Offshore Oil Corporation （CNOOC） announced on Oct.18 that it has signed a production share contract （PSC） for Block 03/27 and a geophysical survey agreement for Block 28/20 with Texas American Resources Company （TARC）. Mr. Zhou Shouwei, Vice General Manager of CNOOC Ltd., and Mr. David Honeycutt, President of TARC, were present at the signing ceremony. This marks the first step in cooperation between TARC and CNOOC.     

Chinese Gas Providers Boost Output and Imports to Ease Shortage

China's top economic planner, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), has recently urged major natural gas providers to further increase production and seek imports to ease the gas shortage occurring in many large cities around the country. Although previous efforts to boost gas supply has ensured residential demand, it would be difficult to fundamentally ease the shortage in the short term, the NDRC said in an urgent notice released in late November to three major gas providers-the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

On Aug. 25, China National Offshore Oil Corporation （CNOOC） and WorleyParsons, a world famous project construction company, signed an agreement for jointly setting up Huizhou Refinery Project Construction Team in Beijing KEMPINSKI Hotel. Oil companies from China, Vietnam and the Philippines signed a landmark tripartite agreement in Manila on March 15 to jointly tap oil and gas resources in the disputed South China Sea, marking a historic breakthrough among the three neighboring countries alongside the Sea after a series of peaceful and friendly negotiations. It shows the three nations are taking active measures to fulfill the 2002 ASEAN-China Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea. CNOOC to Boost Its Output Significantly in 2008

CNOOC Ltd., which is the listing arm of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, the country＇s No. 3 oil producer, said in late January that its crude oil and natural gas output would grow up to 17.8 percent this year as 10 new projects started operations. It expected net production to hit 195-199 million barrels of oil equivalent （BOE） in 2008, compared with the estimated output of 169-171 million BOE in 2007.

在钻探水平井尤其是大位移水平井中,事先较准确地预测出钻柱的钻进扭矩及钻头前进的方向,是取得水平井成功的关键条件之一.文中探讨了非线性有限元在预测水平井钻井中的钻柱扭矩及钻头前进方向方面的应用.利用有限元理论,着重分析了水平井实际钻进中的钻柱大变形非线性及钻柱与井壁的接触非线性问题,导出了一套非线性有限元钻柱力学模式,在此基础上编制了一套非线性力学计算程序软件,并在海洋石油南海西部石油公司一个钻井平台水平井钻井进行了5口井的实际验证,获得了一些带启迪性的结论.
