为了研究单抽运多信号传输的光纤喇曼放大器(FRA)系统中各因素对由抽运-信号喇曼相互作用所产生的偏振相关增益(PDG)的影响,采用数值计算的方法,对FRA的数学模型和PDG的表示方法进行了分析,然后对光纤偏振模色散(PMD)、抽运光功率、抽运光波长、信号光功率、光纤长度、光纤损耗等参量与PDG的关系进行了研究,最后总结了各参量对PDG的影响。结果表明,光纤的PMD值对PDG的影响最为显著。此研究对有效降低FRA系统中由非线性效应所造成的PDG是有帮助的。 相似文献

为了对同向抽运光纤拉曼放大器的功率转换效率进行研究,由耦合方程出发,首先理论推导出功率转换效率的解析解,然后采用数值计算的方法详细分析不同物理因素对功率转换效率的影响。结果表明:功率转换效率先随着光纤长度和单位面积的拉曼增益系数增加而增加,当增加到最大值时保持数值不变;小信号时,初始信号光功率对功率转换效率的影响较小;大信号时,功率转换效率随着初始信号光功率增加而快速增加;功率转换效率和初始抽运光功率呈抛物线曲线关系;抽运光与信号光的频率比增加时,功率转换效率减小。 相似文献

A unified theory of the singly and doubly degenerate Josephson-junction parametric amplifier is presented. Experiments with single junctions on both amplifier modes at frequencies 10, 35, and 70 GHz are discussed. Low-noise temperature (∼100 K, single sideband (SSB)) and reasonable gain (∼8 dB) were obtained at 35 GHz in the singly degenerate mode. On the basis of the theory and experiments, a general procedure for optimizing junction parameters is discussed and illustrated by the specific design of a 100-GHz amplifier. 相似文献

We describe the first operation of a high-power semiconductor-laser pumped fibre Raman amplifier (FRA) using high-Raman-gain optical fibre in the 1.5?m region. A high optical gain of 5 dB for 60mW of pump power is obtained. We have also achieved simultaneous amplification of wavelength-division-multiplexed signals by the FRA. 相似文献

A dual wavelength actively modelocked erbium-doped fiber laser was constructed which generated pulses approximately 50 ps long with repetition rate 2.6 GHz at both 1544.1 nm and 1545.7 nm. The laser cavity incorporated a pair of dispersive gratings to produce temporal-spectral multiplexing of the pulses in the gain medium, which was observed to reduce cross-saturation effects. 相似文献

The highest gain coefficients of 0.86 dB/mW at 1.552 mu m and 0.72 dB/mW at 1.534 mu m are realised at a pumping wavelength of 822 nm by using an erbium-doped fibre with a relative refractive index difference as high as 1.67%, a low intrinsic loss, and an erbium ion concentration of 210 p.p.m. The gains at 1.552 mu m reach 25 and 30 dB for launched pump powers of 30 and 40 mW, respectively.<> 相似文献

This paper presents an experimental study on the dynamics of Raman fiber lasers that use highly GeO/sub 2/-doped fibers as an active medium and a dual-wavelength (1060 and 1090 nm) Nd/sup 3+/-doped fiber laser as a pump source. The 1090-nm pump wavelength is located within the SiO/sub 2/ Raman gain spectrum relating to the 1060-nm pump wavelength, and competition is observed between Raman amplification of the 1090-nm emission with the 1060-nm emission used as the pump source and Raman lasing, which is independent of the 1090-nm amplification and which is also uses the 1060-nm emission as the pump source. Several pump configurations have been demonstrated to generate specific Stokes emissions generated through Raman lasing or amplification. Changing the gain-to-loss ratio by introducing intracavity loss of Raman emissions or increasing the Raman fiber length within each configuration can force either Raman amplification or lasing to dominate. The maximum slope efficiency as a function of the launched pump power was /spl sim/55% with a total output power of 1.6 W produced. A red shift of both the pump and the Stokes wavelengths is experimentally observed when the launched diode pump power is scaled up. 相似文献

Experimental results on a synchronously pumped, all single-mode fiber Raman laser with a low threshold of 740 mW are reported. Suppression of gain fluctuations due to pump phase noise has been achieved by implementing a fiber coupler of high multiplexing effect.
