对13818-1系统部分码流结构进行分析,对节目特殊信息(PSI)获取、重构、PID重映射、节目参考时钟(PCR)修正等关键技术进行了研究.结合交织调度算法,加入空包补偿,用软件方法设计并实现了基于MPEG-2传输流的多路复用器.通过测试,该复用器可将6路单节目传输流(SFIS)复用为1路多节目传输流(MPTS),并且解复用后,视频、音频具有很好的同步效果.  相似文献

提出了一种MPEG-2单节目传输流多路复用的软件实现方案。该方法在不改变原有单路传输流(TS)的节目参考时钟(PCR)的情况下,通过修改参加复用的传输流的节目特殊信息(PSI)以及将公共包识别符(PID)进行重新映射,并利用传输速率和PCR之间的关系,仅采用控制空包插入个数以及各传输流中TS包插入位置的方法,将参加复用的各路单节目传输流复用为一路多节目传输流。  相似文献

This article describes the design and first implementation of a virtual broadcast system whereby a multimedia content program can be edited, produced, and streamed from different locations. Data are stored and distributed decentrally, allowing multiple combinations of program objects to new programs. The virtual broadcast station is the network. This concept additionally offers the clients the opportunity to obtain an individual (personalized) program, still using bandwidth-economic multicast technologies. This is achieved by dividing multimedia streams into temporal chunks (chunk streams), streamed over different multicast host groups (distributed multicasting), using existing Internet session control protocols (SDP) and Internet transport protocols (RTP). A client application assembles the transmitted chunks to form an individual program. This technique can also be used to insert personal/local advertisements into broadcast-like services  相似文献

The packet-oriented transport approach used in the advanced digital television (ADTV) system for terrestrial HDTV broadcast is described. ADTV achieves robust HDTV delivery on terrestrial simulcast channels via MPEG video compression, prioritization of MPEG data, and `cell-relay' type packet transport in conjunction with a two-tier physical transmission scheme. General design issues relevant to the development of the proposed transport protocol are discussed. ADTV's prioritization algorithm for partitioning MPEG-encoded video into high-priority (HP) and standard-priority (SP) bit streams is outlined. The data transport format supporting these prioritized compressed video bit streams is described. The three principal sublayers of the ADTV transport protocol are discussed in terms of specific functions, impact of system performance, and hardware implementation factors. A proof-of-concept simulation model that incorporates transport encoding and decoding functionality is outlined, and performance evaluation results are given for illustrative transmission scenarios  相似文献

The tradeoff between picture quality and bandwidth usage is a prominent issue in the world of broadcasting. Since broadcasters are able to transmit multiple streams simultaneously in a channel, they face the challenge of guaranteeing the contracted picture quality required by each of the transmitted video streams while maximizing the number of video streams carried in each channel. We have developed an easy to implement MPEG-2 based multi-program video coding system suitable for digital TV broadcast, video on demand, and high definition TV over broadcast satellite networks with limited bandwidth. Compared to present broadcast systems and for the same level of contracted picture quality, our system greatly increases the number of video streams transmitted in each channel. As a result, either a large number of transponders can be freed to carry real-time broadcasting or the level of picture quality can be significantly increased. By switching from tape storage to video server technology, the need for numerous playback (VTR) systems at the headend is eliminated. In addition, the most of the complete MPEG-2 encoders are replaced by much less complex MPEG-2 transcoders. All this means a much more cost-effective solution for broadcast stations.  相似文献

Increasingly intelligent Internet overlay networks promise to deliver streaming media and value-added media services in ways that cannot be achieved easily with conventional broadcast networks. Such an overlay would allow an individual viewer or groups of viewers to receive unique programming content (e.g., commercial advertisements, entertainment) that matches their previously specified preferences. Toward this end, we introduce a scalable overlay network architecture and signaling mechanism that permits dynamic program insertions in live high-quality video streams transmitted over IP networks. We describe the implementation of an application proxy that dynamically inserts prerecorded video programs into NTSC Dl quality motion-JPEG streams with no visible artifacts. We argue that on-demand program switching is merely a first step toward a new generation of media services; increases in computing power ultimately permits network-based proxies to manipulate and augment multimedia content as it flows through the network.  相似文献
