文章基于带有各向异性完全匹配层(PML)吸收边界条件的紧凑二维频域有限差分法对八角格子光子晶体光纤(O-PCF)的模式和色散特性进行了研究.利用有效面积法分析了八角格子和六角格子光子晶体光纤(H-PCF)的基模和多模截止特性,得到非限制模、基模及多模的相图,比较发现,填充率和空气孔间距相同时,O-PCF的单模运转区域宽于H-PCF,更易用于色散补偿. 相似文献

A high-performance absorbing boundary condition is newly developed for the reduction of spurious reflections in photonic crystal (PC) waveguide simulations. The PC waveguide is terminated with a perfectly matched layer (PML) in which the original PC structure remains as is. This PC-based PML works well, compared to a conventional PML, which acts as a homogeneous absorbing medium, simulating a semi-infinite free space and to a distributed-Bragg-reflector waveguide, which was recently developed to reduce reflections from PC waveguide ends, improving a wavenumber matching condition for PC waveguide modes 相似文献

This paper deals with the optimization of the PML absorbing boundary condition in finite-difference time-domain computer codes designed for the solution of scattering and coupling problems encountered in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. The critical parameters of the perfectly matched layer (PML) are estimated in function of the problem to be solved, and a blackbox PML concept is introduced. The blackbox PML renders use of computer codes easy, reliable, and optimum in terms of PML thickness. This is illustrated by various numerical experiments. 相似文献

Various absorbing boundary conditions (ABCs) are compared in the analysis of the time-domain finite-difference beam propagation method. For a one-dimensional problem, the following ABCs are tested: Higdon's absorbing boundary, Ramahi's complementary operators method (COM), its concurrent version (C-COM) and Berenger's perfectly matched layer (PML). It is found that the second- and third-order C-COMs with three and four boundary cells are comparable to the PMLs with eight and 16 cells, respectively. The improved PML absorbing boundary condition have been introduced in this paper. The reflection coefficient of the absorbing boundary condition is less than the reflection coefficient of Berenger's PML algorithm. And in order to validate the theory and its effectiveness, We have applied the absorbing boundary condition to the calculation of microwave and millimeter waves circuit and get its reflection coefficient S 11. The anisotropic Perfectly Matched Layer(PML) absorbing boundary condition is implemented in a 2-D finite element formulation to solve dielectric waveguide discontinuity problems. The choice of parameters of anisotropic PML has been investigated. Using the boundary truncating technique, the solution process of Finite-Element Method (FEM) has been greatly simplified compared with other hybrid methods. The required computational resources have also significantly declined since the anisotropic PML interface can be placed much closer to the scatterer compared to other well known artificial boundary. 相似文献
