Auditors' report to the members.

We have examined the balance sheet of the Canadian Psychological Association - Societe Canadienne de Psychologie as of December 31, 1969 and the statement of income, expenditure and surplus for the year then ended. Our examination included a general review of the accounting procedures and such tests of accounting records and other supporting evidence as we considered necessary in the circumstances. In our opinion, these financial statements present fairly the financial position of the Association at December 31, 1969 and the results of its operations for the year then ended, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles applied on a basis consistent with that of the preceding year. Report of the treasurer.

Presents the Treasurer's report to the members of the American Psychological Association. The report has the following purposes: (a) to inform the membership concerning the financial affairs of the Association in the prior year (1967), (b) to indicate the Association's present fiscal status, and (c) to look to the future financially in providing the activities and services the membership requests and expects from their Association. Tables cover data for income and expenses, a comparative balance sheet, estimated budgets for 1968 and 1969, and consolidated operations estimates. The report concludes that additional sources of revenues must be obtained if the Association is to support its present programs and achieve its objectives as a viable association. The President and the Secretary-Treasurer represented the Association at a number of special meetings arranged by Canada Council and the Social Science Research Council. Due to shortage of funds and other commitments, the Secretary-Treasurer did not attend the annual meetings of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO or the Canadian Citizenship Council. As mentioned in last year's Report, the Association would be pleased to hear from members who would be prepared to represent the Association at these or other meetings in which they have special interest.
