A dynamic analysis using a hybrid finite element method was performed to characterize the effects of a number of manufacturing
errors on bearing forces and critical tooth stress in the elements of a planetary gear system. Some tolerance control guidelines
for managing bearing forces and critical stress are deduced from the results. The carrier indexing error for the planet assembly
and planet runout error are the most critical factors in reducing the planet bearing force and maximizing load sharing, as

Hybrid finite element analysis was used to analyze the influence of bearing stiffness on the static properties of a planetary
gear system with manufacturing errors. The effects of changes in stiffness were similar for most of the manufacturing errors.
State variables were most affected by the stiffness of the planet bearings. Floating either the sun or carrier helps to equal
load sharing and minimizes the critical tooth stress. The effects of a floating sun and carrier are similar, but it is not
recommended that both float, because this can induce greater critical tooth stress. Planet bearing stiffness should be optimized.
Both load sharing and critical tooth stress should be considered to determine optimal bearing stiffness. 相似文献

Variable loads to which gearboxes are subjected are considered as one of the main sources of non-stationarity in these transmissions. In order to characterise their dynamic behaviour in such conditions, a torsional lumped parameter model of a planetary gear with power recirculation was developed. The model included time varying loading conditions and took into account the non-linearity of contact between teeth. The meshing stiffness functions were modelled using Finite Element Method and Hertzian contact theory in these conditions. Series of numerical simulations was conducted in stationary conditions, with different loading conditions. Equation of motion was solved using Newmark algorithm. Numerical results agreed with experimental results obtained from a planetary gear test bench. This test bench is composed of two similar planetary gears called test planetary gear set and reaction planetary gear set which are mounted back-to-back so that the power recirculates through the transmission. The external load was applied through an arm attached to the free reaction ring. Data Acquisition System acquired signals from accelerometers mounted on the rings and tachometer which measured instantaneous angular velocity of the carrier’s shaft. The signal processing was achieved using LMS Test.Lab software. Modulation sidebands were obtained from the ring acceleration measurements as well as a non-linear behaviour in case of variable loading resulted by a transfer of the spectral density from the fundamental mesh stiffness to its second harmonic. 相似文献

Aviation spiral bevel gears are often generated by spiral generated modified(SGM) roll method.In this style,pinion tooth surface modified generation strategy has an important influence on the meshing and contact performances.For the optimal contact pattern and transmission error function,local synthesis is applied to obtain the machine-tool settings of pinion.For digitized machine,four tooth surface generation styles of pinion are proposed.For every style,tooth contact analysis(TCA) is applied to obtain contact pattern and transmission error function.For the difference between TCA transmission error function and design objective curve,the degree of symmetry and agreement are defined and the corresponding sub-objective functions are established.Linear weighted combination method is applied to get an equivalent objective function to evaluate the shape of transmission error function.The computer programs for the process above are developed to analyze the meshing performances of the four pinion tooth surface generation styles for a pair of aviation spiral bevel gears with 38/43 teeth numbers.The four analytical results are compared with each other and show that the incomplete modified roll is optimal for this gear pair.This study is an expansion to generation strategy of spiral bevel gears,and offers new alternatives to computer numerical control(CNC) manufacture of spiral bevel gears. 相似文献

少齿差行星齿轮副受载时,轮齿的弹性变形可能会消除啮合线周围齿廓面间的间隙,形成多对齿接触共同承载的情况.而基节误差使啮合情况变得复杂,故建立考虑基节误差的载荷分配数学模型是一项十分重要的工作.基节误差具有随机性,引入蒙特卡罗(MC)方法定量地研究其对少齿差齿轮副承载能力的影响,并给出了具体算法.计算结果表明:基节误差使得少齿差行星齿轮副的实际承载能力较预期的低. 相似文献

In this study the influence of tooth modifications induced by machine tool setting and head-cutter profile variations on tooth contact characteristics in face-hobbed spiral bevel gears is investigated. The concept of face-hobbed spiral bevel gear generation by an imaginary generating crown gear is applied. The modifications of tooth surfaces are introduced into the teeth of both members. The lengthwise crowning of teeth is achieved by applying a slightly bigger radius of lengthwise tooth flank curvature of the crown gear generating the concave side of pinion/gear tooth-surfaces, and by the variation of machine tool settings in the generation of pinion/gear teeth. The ease-off in the tooth height direction of meshing tooth surfaces is achieved by applying a head-cutter whose profile consists of two circular arcs, instead of a straight-line. The method of tooth contact analysis applied determines the path of contact, the potential contact lines, the separations along these lines, and the transmission errors. A computer program implements the method. By using this program the influence of the variation of machine tool settings and of head-cutter geometry on tooth contact is investigated and discussed. 相似文献
