This paper considers controllability and observability of switched multi-agent systems, which are composed of continuous-time and discrete-time subsystems. First, a controllability criterion is established in terms of the system matrices. Then, by virtue of the concepts of the invariant subspace and the controllable state set, a method is proposed to construct the switching sequence to ensure controllability of switched multi-agent systems, and a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for controllability. Moreover, a necessary controllability condition is derived in terms of eigenvectors of the Laplican matrix. With respect to observability, two necessary and sufficient algebraic conditions are obtained. Finally, simulation examples are provided to illustrate the theoretical results. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the conjecture made in (IEEE Trans. Automat. Control 47 (8) (2002) 1401) concerning the existence of basic switching sequence for switched systems, and give it an affirmative answer and a construction method. This paper proves that for switched linear system, there exists a switching sequence such that the controllable state set of this switching sequence is equal to the controllable state set of the system. Hence, the controllability can be realized by using only one switching sequence. Then, the result is extended to the systems with time-delay in controls. Furthermore, we define the stabilizability of switched linear systems, and based on certain transformation of state coordinate, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the stabilizability. Two examples are presented to illustrate the obtained results. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with the controllability and observability for linear time‐varying switched impulsive systems. First, some new results about the variation of parameters for time‐varying switched impulsive systems are derived. Then less conservative sufficient conditions and necessary conditions for state controllability and observability of such systems are established. And for such system without impulsive control input, sufficient and necessary conditions for controllability and observability are derived. Furthermore, corresponding criteria applied to time‐varying impulsive systems are also discussed and examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed results. A powerful approach for analyzing the stability of continuous-time switched systems is based on using optimal control theory to characterize the “most unstable” switching law. This reduces the problem of determining stability under arbitrary switching to analyzing stability for the specific “most unstable” switching law. For discrete-time switched systems, the variational approach received considerably less attention. This approach is based on using a first-order necessary optimality condition in the form of a maximum principle (MP), and typically this is not enough to completely characterize the “most unstable” switching law. In this paper, we provide a simple and self-contained derivation of a second-order necessary optimality condition for discrete-time bilinear control systems. This provides new information that cannot be derived using the first-order MP. We demonstrate several applications of this second-order MP to the stability analysis of discrete-time linear switched systems. 相似文献

A bilinear observer is proposed for a class of singular bilinear system subject to unknown input disturbance.Based on singular value decomposition technique, the existence of the solution to the decomposed system is presented.Then a bilinear observer is proposed for the decomposed system based on an algebraic Riccati equation, and the domain of attraction of the state estimation error is derived. A new technique for the identification of general bilinear systems is presented. The model reference adaptive systems (MARS) technique together with the direct method of Liapunov are used to construct the identifier for the system parameters. The plant is assumed to be multivariable, continuous and all of the states are accessible for measurements. The proposed technique can be applied on a certain class of nonlinear systems in which the nonlinearities could be approximated by quadratic terms without a significant loss in the overall accuracy. For nonlinear continuous-time control systems we introduce the notion of controllability with selectable time, which is a little bit stronger than the usual controllability notion. For a large class of nonlinear systems on compact manifolds, controllability with selectable time is equivalent to controllability together with strong accessibility. It turns out that the controllability of products of independent control systems is related to this new controllability notion. The main result states that a smooth control affine product system is controllable if and only if all factors are controllable and at most one factor is not controllable with selectable time, provided the accessibility algebra of the product system has full rank. 相似文献
