For elucidating applicability of FSM (field signature method) on detection of fatigue crack initiation and monitoring of its propagation, a series of fatigue tests on steel plate decks (4,625 × 2,250 mm^2) stiffened in lattice-shape by longitudinal and lateral ribs was carried out by using a wheel load traveling test machine. The fatigue crack was observed by visual inspection at the weld toe between the deck plate and the longitudinal rib when the number of wheel load traveling repetition was around 210 thousands. The response of FSM-monitoring, which was the potential difference change between the sensing pins (pair), became clear when the number of the repetition was around 190 thousands. The fatigue crack initiation could be detected by FSM considerably earlier than visual inspection. The fatigue crack propagation such as the direction could also be monitored even though the distance of the sensing pins was extended to 230 mm. On the other hand, the electric field analysis for the virgin situation without any cracks was carried out. The results of analysis indicated that 60 mm length of crack which could not be confirmed by visual inspection could be detected by FSM.  相似文献

风机叶片在制造、服役和维修阶段的无损检测非常重要。叶片长期在高强度的风力载荷下工作,制造过程产生的任何微小缺陷将在服役中扩大,进一步威胁到风机的正常运行。因而,风机叶片的无损检测一直是工业界与学术界探索的难题。根据叶片视觉检测方法结合无人机技术应用、相关数据包括图像处理方法以及缺陷评判方法的智能程度等方面对前人以及作者所在课题组的前期工作进行综述、总结、分析与对比。目前,可见光视觉检测与红外热成像检测等以视觉为基础的检测手段满足了风机叶片在役运维时非接触、高效、低成本、安全等需求。视觉检测与无人机巡检技术相结合能最大程度的保证人员安全,同时克服了望远镜检测视野受限的难题。然而该检测手段在风机叶片巡检中目前尚存在缺陷定量难、内部缺陷识别率低等方面的不足。通过分析对比可见光检测与热成像检测技术,认为结合智能算法的无人机搭载双光融合检测手段未来有望于解决风机叶片检测中存在的不足。  相似文献

This paper presents the results of the performance quality testing of polyethylene pipes reinforced with aramid fibers, intended for applications such as discharging and gathering oil pipelines, and describes the test rig specifically designed for this purpose. The pipe specimens are submitted to impact with a device that simulates the collision of a pickaxe, and of a backhoe loader. After the impact, the pipes are tested under combined loading comprising internal pressure, and transverse loading; some pipe specimens without previous impact are tested as well. The results show that the reinforced thermoplastic pipes can fully withstand maximal operating pressure levels in the presence of damage and additional transverse loading.  相似文献

In remote regions with availability of wind energy, a RDG (renewable distributed generation) system is an advantageous alternative to increase the provision of electrical supply. Usually, these systems are structured on the basis of a connection to an existing weak grid. When the grid is out of service, the system may operate in islanding mode, if the RDG configuration allows it, continuing the provision of energy with standard voltage and frequency values. Facing the latter situation, a wind-diesel/gas generation system is proposed, with a conversion and control strategies based on a variable speed wind turbine employing a DFIG (doubly fed induction generator), a SC (ultracapacitor) storage system and a SG (synchronous generator) driven by a diesel/gas engine.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental and systematic investigation about how geometric parameters on a biplane configuration have an influence on aerodynamic parameters. This experimental investigation has been developed in a two-dimensional approach. Theoretical studies about biplanes configurations have been developed in the past, but there is not enough information about experimental wind tunnel data at low Reynolds number. This two-dimensional study is a first step to further tridimensional investigations about the box wing configuration. The main objective of the study is to find the relationships between the geometrical parameters which present the best aerodynamic behavior: the highest lift, the lowest drag and the lowest slope of the pitching moment. A tridimensional wing-box model will be designed following the pattern of the two dimensional study conclusions. It will respond to the geometrical relationships that have been considered to show the better aerodynamic behavior. This box-wing model will be studied in the aim of comparing the advantages and disadvantages between this biplane configuration and the plane configuration, looking for implementing the box-wing in the UAV's field. Although the box wing configuration has been used in a small number of existing UAV, prestigious researchers have found it as a field of high aerodynamic and structural potential.  相似文献

Decarbonization of electricity industry for the goal of sustainability success has resulted in large investment in alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, biomass. Although these energy resources are sustainable and have the potential of reducing the world carbon foot print, there are costs associated with its utilization. In recent time, electricity from alternative energy sources like wind and solar are not cost competitive with electricity from the conventional power plant. This paper is aimed at investigating the optimum investment in a typical wind farm project using a TSA (time series analysis) alongside simple economic tool, AAP (annual annuity payment) model. This study involves a year round analysis of (8,760h) at different wind farm capacity connected to a 132/33kV DS (distribution system). It also focused on digressing from the technical and environmental benefits to financial assessment of increasing wind generation capacity in the DS. Indeed, this development presents a risk of investment to the stakeholders which necessitates proper scrutiny and to ensure profitability of the venture. The level of capital cost along with operation and maintenance (OM) costs are either financed by private or public sectors on wind farm with the sole aim of achieving the ROI (return-on-investment). The results obtained from this study shows the possible ROI is not proportional to the wind capacity invested. Also, a sensitivity analysis conducted revealed the profit derived from wind farm is more responsive to the investment/capital cost and the price at which the electricity is being sold.  相似文献

An experimental study of the wear of polymer matrix composite materials subjected to abrasion from bulk materials has been conducted. Three examples of vinyl ester resin systems were considered: (a) unreinforced, (b) reinforced with glass fibres, and (c) reinforced with particles of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHWMPE). Soft and hard bulk materials used for abrasion were granular forms of coal and the mineral ignimbrite. The bulk material was presented to the wear surface on a conveyor belt in a novel wear tester. While UHWMPE reinforcement enhanced the wear resistance to both hard and soft abrasives, the situation for fibre reinforcement was more complicated. With coal as the abrasive, it was found that glass fibre reinforcement reduced the wear rate, whereas in the case of the harder ignimbrite, fibre reinforcement increased the wear rate. Microscopy indicated significant differences in the mechanism of wear in each surface/abrasive combination. Wear textures, consistent with both two and three-body wear, were observed with, respectively, soft and hard abrasive particles.  相似文献

An extensively automated optimization procedure is presented for a horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) blade based on ultimate limit state analysis. Two composite materials named glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) are applied with a multi-objective of blade cost and total mass. Laminate layer thickness, material type and orientation angle are tailored for the structural performance and subjected to three design constraints which are derived from analysis of ultimate strength, fatigue failure and critical deflection, respectively. Combining FEM analysis and an evolutionary algorithm, the proposed optimization process has dramatically reduced design cost and improved blade performance.  相似文献

This paper proposes a Barker coded excitation for defect detection using infrared non-destructive testing. Capability of the proposed excitation scheme is highlighted with recently introduced correlation based post processing approach and compared with the existing phase based analysis by taking the signal to noise ratio into consideration. Applicability of the proposed scheme has been experimentally validated on a carbon fiber reinforced plastic specimen containing flat bottom holes located at different depths.  相似文献

Due to the large variations of environment with ever-changing background and vehicles with different shapes, colors and appearances, to implement a real-time on-board vehicle recognition system with high adaptability, efficiency and robustness in complicated environments, remains challenging. This paper introduces a simultaneous detection and tracking framework for robust on-board vehicle recognition based on monocular vision technology. The framework utilizes a novel layered machine learning and particle filter to build a multi-vehicle detection and tracking system. In the vehicle detection stage, a layered machine learning method is presented, which combines coarse-search and fine-search to obtain the target using the AdaBoost-based training algorithm. The pavement segmentation method based on characteristic similarity is proposed to estimate the most likely pavement area. Efficiency and accuracy are enhanced by restricting vehicle detection within the downsized area of pavement. In vehicle tracking stage, a multi-objective tracking algorithm based on target state management and particle filter is proposed. The proposed system is evaluated by roadway video captured in a variety of traffics, illumination, and weather conditions. The evaluating results show that, under conditions of proper illumination and clear vehicle appearance, the proposed system achieves 91.2% detection rate and 2.6% false detection rate. Experiments compared to typical algorithms show that, the presented algorithm reduces the false detection rate nearly by half at the cost of decreasing 2.7%–8.6% detection rate. This paper proposes a multi-vehicle detection and tracking system, which is promising for implementation in an on-board vehicle recognition system with high precision, strong robustness and low computational cost.  相似文献

Sand erosion behavior and wear mechanism of various types of glass fibre reinforced plastics (GFRP) were investigated. Erosion behavior of fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) changed from ductile manner to brittle one with increase of glass fibre content, and erosion rate was maximum at vertical impact for higher glass fibre content FRP. FRP showed higher resistance to erosion damage than resin matrix at low angle of attack, the contrary tendency can be observed at higher angle of attack. The importance of damage of glass fibre bundles accompany with surrounding resin and effect of orientation angle of fibres on erosion damage of FRP were pointed out. Based on these factors and applying similar equation of the rule of mixture for strength of FRP, prediction method for erosion rate was proposed.By using this method, erosion rates of all types of GFRP under various angles of attack and impacting velocity can be estimated by knowing only the rate of matrix resin.  相似文献

The monitoring of wind turbines using SCADA data has received lately a growing interest from the fault diagnosis community because of the very low cost of these data, which are available in number without the need for any additional sensor. Yet, these data are highly variable due to the turbine constantly changing its operating conditions and to the rapid fluctuations of the environmental conditions (wind speed and direction, air density, turbulence, …). This makes the occurrence of a fault difficult to detect. To address this problem, we propose a multi-level (turbine and farm level) strategy combining a mono- and a multi-turbine approach to create fault indicators insensitive to both operating and environmental conditions. At the turbine level, mono-turbine residuals (i.e. a difference between an actual monitored value and the predicted one) obtained with a normal behavior model expressing the causal relations between variables from the same single turbine and learnt during a normal condition period are calculated for each turbine, so as to get rid of the influence of the operating conditions. At the farm level, the residuals are then compared to a wind farm reference in a multi-turbine approach to obtain fault indicators insensitive to environmental conditions. Indicators for the objective performance evaluation are also proposed to compare wind turbine fault detection methods, which aim at evaluating the cost/benefit of the methods from a production manager’s point of view. The performance of the proposed combined mono- and multi-turbine method is evaluated and compared to more classical methods proposed in the literature on a large real data set made of SCADA data recorded on a French wind farm during four years : it is shown than it can improve the fault detection performance when compared to a residual analysis limited at the turbine level only.  相似文献

The present work consists of dynamic detection of damages in reinforced concrete bridges by using a MMUM (mathematical model updating method) from incomplete test data. A well suited finite element model of a repaired bridge is carried out. The diagnosis enables us to locate and detect the damage in a reinforced concrete bridge. Thus, developments of analytical predictions have been checked by modal testing techniques. Besides, the FTCS (finite time centered space) scheme is developed to solve the set of equations which can easily handle finite element matrices of a bridge model. It is shown in this study that the method is applied to detect damages as well as existing cracks in real time of a repaired bridge. To check the efficiency of the method, the repaired bridge of OuedOumazer in Algeria has been selected. It is proven that identification methods have been able to detect the exact location of damage areas to be corrected avoiding the inaccuracy from the finite element model for the mass, stiffness and loading.  相似文献

Abstract

The short fibre bundles separated from the machining waste of a printed circuit board manufacturing plant were used in preparing functionally graded composites using polysulphide modified epoxy resin. Glass fibre bundles were thouroughly mixed with epoxy, which is getting polymerised with time and centrifugal force was applied to achieve graded dispersion of glass fibre bundles. The centrifugation time was varied to obtain different gradient profiles. Optical microstructures confirmed the graded dispersion of glass fibres bundles in the epoxy matrix. Increase in distance towards the centrifugation force direction increases the glass fibre concentration. Gradient characteristics in the composite have been observed in wear and friction measurements, which were conducted using a pin-on-disc machine. Worn surfaces of samples were analysed with the help of SEM. Both sliding (adhesive) and abrasive wear rates of glass fibre reinforced epoxy gradient composites reduced with increasing centrifugation time. Reduction in wear rate in glass fibre epoxy gradient composites has been attributed to the better interface bonding between epoxy coated fibre bundles and the epoxy matrix and hardening property of glass fibre. It has been found that capability to sustain pressure limit increased from 0·59 to 0·79 MPa on centrifuging the sample upto 2 min and reached to 1·19 MPa with increasing the centrifugation time to 30 min.  相似文献

建立了5 MW海上风力机与船舶碰撞模型,采用非线性动力学理论,对比和分析3种海上风力机支撑基础在不同速度船舶撞击下结构的抗撞性能及塔顶的风力机响应特性。结果表明:相对于三角架基础和导管架基础,单柱基础海上风力机位移和加速度响应更加明显;碰撞过程中,不仅碰撞区域发生变形,而且管桩连接部位、斜撑杆交叉处也有较明显的应变产生,应在设计过程中对这些部位进行加固。由海上风力机支撑基础撞击深度和接触力可知,导管架基础的抗撞性能最好。  相似文献

In the present study, the solid particle erosion behaviour of neat PEEK matrix and unidirectional glass fibre (GF) and carbon fibre (CF) reinforced polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) composites has been studied. The erosion experiments have been carried out by using silica sand particles (200 ± 50 μm) as an erodent. Steady state erosion rates of these composites have been evaluated at different impact angles and impact velocities. The neat PEEK exhibited peak erosion rate at 30° impingement angle whereas the composites exhibited a semi-ductile behaviour with peak erosion rate at 60° impact angle. The erosion rate of the glass fibre reinforced composites was higher than that of the carbon fibre reinforced composites. The results show that the fibre orientation has a significant influence on erosion rate only at lower impact angles. The erosion rate of the composites was higher when the particles impact perpendicular to the fibre direction than parallel to the fibres. The morphology of eroded surfaces was observed under scanning electron microscope and damage mechanisms were discussed.  相似文献
