A series of red phosphors M3BO6:Eu3+(M=La,Y) were synthesized at 1150 oC by conventional solid state reaction method and their luminescent properties were investigated.Structural characterization of the luminescent materials was carried out with X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) analysis.Photoluminescence measurements indicated that the La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor exhibited bright red emission centered at about 612 nm 626 nm under UV excited.La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor had better luminescent intensity than Y3BO6:Eu3+ phosphors under the same excitation and measuring conditions. It was shown that the 0.08 mol.% Eu3+ ions in La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphors was optimal. The color parameter indicated that La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor was a preferable red phosphor for white LED.  相似文献

Eu2+-doped K2 Mg Si3O8 phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method. The phase formation of as-prepared samples was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction. The luminescence properties were investigated by the photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, decay curve and CIE coordinates. The phosphor showed bluish-green emission centered at 460 nm under the excitation of UV and near UV light with the wavelength range of 250–430 nm. Two Eu2+ emission centers existed in the K2 Mg Si3O8:Eu2+ phosphor according to the luminescence spectra and the decay curves. The critical quenching concentration of Eu2+ doping was determined to be 3.0 mol.% and the concentration quenching mechanism was dipole-dipole interactions between Eu2+ ions. These results suggested that K2 Mg Si3O8:Eu2+ was a potential bluish-green phosphor candidate for white UV-LED.  相似文献

A blue phosphor Ca2PO4Cl:Eu2+(CAP:Eu2+) was synthesized by solid state reaction. The Ca2PO4Cl:Eu2+ exhibited high quantum efficiency and excellent thermal stability. The luminescent intensity of Ca2PO4Cl:Eu2+ was found to be 128% under excitation at 380 nm,149% under 400 nm,and 247% under 420 nm as high as that of BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+.The optimal doping concentration was observed to 11 mol.% of CAP:Eu2+.The energy transfer between Eu2+ ions in CAP were occurred via electric multipolar interaction, and the critical transfer distance was estimated to be 1.26 nm.A mixture of blue-emitting Ca2PO4Cl:Eu2+,green-emitting(Ba,Sr)2SiO4:Eu2+ and red-emitting CaAlSiN3:Eu2+ phosphors were selected in conjunction with 400 nm chip to fabricate white LED devices. The average color-rendering index Ra and correlated color temperature(Tc) of the white LEDs were found to be 93.4 and 4590 K,respectively. The results indicated that it was a promising candidate as a blue-emitting phosphor for the near-UV white light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

Eu^3+-doped Gd2Mo3O9 was prepared by solid-state reaction method using Na2CO3 as flux and characterized by powder X-ray diffractometry. According to X-ray diffraction, this material belonged to a tetragonal system with space group I41/α. The effects of flux content and sintering temperature on the luminescent properties were investigated with the emission and excitation spectra. The results showed that flux content and sintering temperature had effects on the luminescent properties, the optimized flux content and the best temperature was 3 % and 800 ℃ respectively. The excitation and emission spectra also showed that this phosphor could be effectively excited by C-T band (280 nm), ultraviolet light 395 nm and blue light 465 nm. The wavelengths at 395 and 465 nm were nicely fitting in with the widely applied output wavelengths of ultraviolet or blue LED chips. Integrated emission intensity of Gd2Mo3O9 : Eu was twice higher than that of Y2O2S : Eu^3 + under 395 nm excitation. The Eu^3+ doped Gd2Mo309 phosphor may be a better candidate in solid-state lighting applications.  相似文献

A novel red phosphor Ca2GeO4:Eu3+ was prepared by the traditional solid state reaction. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis suggested that there was no impurity phase. The study on the diffusion reflection spectra of the undoped and Eu3+ doped Ca2GeO4 phosphors revealed an absorption band superposed of that of the host material and the Eu3+ ions. And the excitation spectrum presented a dominating broad band at 250–300 nm which was attributed to both the host material absorption and the charge transfer band (CTB) of the Eu3+ ions. The investigation on the excitation and diffusion spectra showed that there was an effective energy transfer from the host material to the Eu3+ ions. This was favorable to the red emission of the phosphor. Photoluminescence measurements indicated that the phosphor presents bright red emission at 611 nm under UV excitation. In addition, the Al3+ or Li+ codoping enhanced the red emission from Ca2GeO4:Eu3+ by about 3 and 2 times respectively under UV excitation.  相似文献

K2Ba(MoO4)2:Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction. The emission and excitation spectra of K2 Ba(MoO4)2:Eu3+ phosphors exhibited that the phosphors could be effectively excited by near ultraviolet (394 nm) and blue (465 nm) light, and emitted red light at 616 nm. The influence of Eu3+concentration, sintering temperature and charge compensators (K+, Na+ or Li+ ) on the emission intensity were investigated. The results indicated that concentration quenching of Eu3+ was not observed within 30mol.% Eu 3+, 600 oC was a suitable sintering temperature for preparation of K2 Ba(MoO4)2:Eu3+phosphors, and K+ ions gave the best improvement to enhance the emission intensity. The CIE chromaticity coordinates of K2 Ba(MoO4)2:0.05Eu3+phosphor were calculated to be (0.68, 0.32), and color purity was 97.4%.  相似文献

Luminescence enhancement of BaMgSiO4:Eu^2+ by adding borate as flux   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The luminescence of EU^2+ in BaMgSiO4 with BaB2O4 as flux was studied. The emission spectrum of the phosphor consisted of two bands, peaking at about 398 nm and 515 nm, which were attributed to the emissions from different Eu^2+ sites in the lattice. When the BaB2O4 flux was applied, the intensity of the 398 nm emission was not clearly affected, but the intensity of the 515 nm emission was enhanced by about ten times. Gaussian fitting showed that the emission band at around 515 nm could actually be resolved into two bands with peak wavelengths of 499 nm and 521 nm, respectively. The assignments of the emission bands to the cation sites were carried out according to the values of bond valence. The overlapping of the 398 nm emission band on the excitation band of 515 nm emission implied that energy transfer could occur from the luminescent center related to the 398 nm emission to the center related to the 515 nm emission, and the energy transfer process remarkably enhanced the intensity of the 515 nm emission band. The phosphor had strong excitation at around 350-400 nm and emitted a bright green luminescence. Thus it could have applications as a green component in solid-state lighting devices assembled by near-UV Light Emitting Diodes (LED) combined with tricolor phosphors.  相似文献

A novel orange phosphor Eu3+ doped barium zirconate(BaZrO3) was synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method and its crystal structure and luminescent properties were investigated in this paper. The X-ray diffraction patterns(XRD) showed that simple BaZrO3 phase was obtained.Monitoring at 596 nm,the excitation spectrum consisted of a broad band and a series of narrow bands and the stronger excitation peaks located at 275 and 393 nm,respectively. The emission spectrum excited by 393 nm UV light was composed of four narrow bands. The strongest emission was located at 596 nm.The appropriate concentration of Eu3+ was 0.025(molar fraction) for the highest emission intensity at 596 nm.The H3BO3 and ammonium were added as flux and the results showed that 2 wt.% NH4F ions was the optimal flux for BaZrO3:Eu3+.  相似文献

Eu3+-doped (Y,Gd)NbO4 phosphor was synthesized by solid-state reaction for possible application in cold cathode fluorescent lamps. A broad absorption band with peak maximum at 272 nm was observed which was due to the charge transfer between Eu3+ ions and neighboring oxygen anions. A deep red emission at the peak wavelength of 612 nm was observed which could be attributed to the 5D0→7F2 transition in Eu3+ ions. The highest luminance for Y1-x-yGdyNbO4:Eux3+ under 254 nm excitation was achieved at Eu3+ concentration of 18 mol.% (x=0.18) and Gd3+ concentration of 8.2 mol.% (y=0.082). The luminance of Y0.738Gd0.082NbO4:Eu3+0.18 was higher than that of a typical commercial phosphor Y2O3:Eu3+ and the CIE chromaticity coordinate was (0.6490, 0.3506), which was deeper than that of Y2O3:Eu3+. The particle size of the synthesized phosphors was controlled by the NaCl flux and particle size as high as 8 μm with uniform size distribution of particles was obtained.  相似文献

Eu2+ and Dy3+ codoped(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2 yellow phosphors were successfully synthesized by self-flux method. The structure, morphology and photoluminescence properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and photoluminescence spectra. The as-prepared phosphor showed a broad emission spectrum centered at 550 nm for Eu2+single-doped phosphor, while located at 548–544 nm for the Eu2+, Dy3+ codoped samples under excitation at 380 nm light. The emission intensity was greatly improved when Dy3+ was doped into the(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2:Eu2+ system. The composition-optimized sample with 3 mol.% of Dy3+ and constant 10 mol.% of Eu2+ exhibited a 220% PL enhancement compared to the phosphor with 10 mol.% Eu2+ single-doped. Meanwhile, it was found that the quantum efficiency of phosphor namely(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2:3 mol.% Dy3+, 10 mol.% Eu2+ could get up to 24.6%. The synthesized yellow-emitting(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2:Dy3+,Eu2+ is a promising candidate as high-efficiency yellow phosphor for NUV-excited white LEDs.  相似文献

The cerium(Ce3+) doped yttrium aluminium borate(YAB) phosphor was synthesized by modified solid state reaction. The phosphor's phase purity and its emission properties were studied using powder X-ray diffraction pattern and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The synthesized YAB had rhomobohedral crystal structure. The phosphor had two different excitation and emission spectra.By 325 nm excitation, the phosphor had emission at 373 nm and with 363 nm excitation; the phosphor gave violet-blue emission at 418 nm.The UV emission of the phosphor originated due to Ce3+ ions at the yttrium site and violet-blue emission owing to Ce3+ ions at non-regular sites viz., Al3+ and interstitial sites. The emission intensity of the phosphor was enhanced when monovalent ions(K+, Na+, and F–) were added as co-dopants. The crucial role of ionic radii of monovalent co-dopants on the emission enhancement of the YAB:Ce3+ phosphor was reported. Thermogravimetric study showed that the YAB possessed high thermal stability at up to 900 ℃.  相似文献

Sr2SiO4:xEu2 phosphors were synthesized through the solid-state reaction technique. The crystal phase of Sr2SiO4:xEu2 phosphor manipulated by Eu2 concentration was studied. The phase transited from β to α′ in Sr2SiO4:xEu2 phosphor with increasing europium concentration. The single β phase was formed as x≤0.005 and changed α′ phase when x>0.01. The emission spectrum of the β-Sr2SiO4:Eu2 phosphor consisted of a green-yellow broadband peaking at around 540 nm and a blue band at 470 nm under near ultraviolet excitation. The white LEDs by combining near ultraviolet chips with β-Sr2SiO4:Eu2 phosphors were fabricated. The luminous efficiency (15.7 lm/W) was higher than α′-Sr2SiO4:Eu2 phosphor white LED.  相似文献

Europium-doped borosilicate glasses were prepared by melt-quenching procedure in the air.The mixed valence of Eu 2+ and Eu 3+ was identified by photoluminescence spectrum and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR).The existence of mixed valence was observed owing to the unequivalent substitution and de-polymerization network of the as-prepared borosilicate glasses. The variation of the glass composition in B 2 O 3 /BaO ratios changed the stability of the Eu 3+ ions distinctly. In particular,as-prepared borosilicate glasses exhibited a tri-wavelength light excitable spectra centered at 397,466 and 534 nm to give the broadened orange-red emission at around 592 and 617 nm,due to supersensitive transitions of Eu 3+ ions. This simultaneous tri-wavelength excitation happened to correspond with the emitting wavelength from near ultraviolet, blue AlInGaN chips and that from YAG:Ce 3+.The total quantum yield(QY) of the Eu-doped glasses under 466 nm excitation was evaluated to be 10%,potentially providing a versatile combination with the europium-doped borosilicate glasses for red component addition to improve the quality of white light.  相似文献

A novel green phosphor,Sr_2MgB_2O_6:Tb~(3+),Li~+ for white light-emitting diodes was prepared by solid-state reactions, and its structure and luminescence properties were investigated. The excitation and emission spectra indicated that this as-prepared phosphor could be effectively excited by ultraviolet 368 nm,and exhibited bright green emission centered at 545 nm corresponding to the~5D_4→~7F_5 transition.9 mol.%of Tb~(3+) was shown to be optimal.Good green emissions with the CIE chromaticity coordinates(0.262,0.583) could be achieved.Furthermore, the integrated emission intensity of Sr_2MgB_2O_6:0.09Tb~(3+),0.09Li~+ phosphor decreased continuously to 72.1%at 300 ℃ with increasing temperature, and the activation energy of thermal quenching(E_a) was calculated to be0.175 eV,moreover, the quantum yield excited by 368 nm was measured as 11.1%.A green emission LED was made by coating Sr_2MgB_2O_6:0.09Tb~(3+),0.09Li~+ phosphor on a NUV(365-370 nm) chip. Our results showed that Sr_2MgB_2O_6:Tb~(3+),Li~+ is a kind of potential green-emitting phosphor and features good thermal stability.  相似文献

Eu3+ doped Gd2WO6 and Gd2(WO4)3 nanophosphors with different concentrations were prepared via a co-precipitation method. The structure and morphology of the nanocrystal samples were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), respectively. The emission spectra and excitation spectra of samples were measured. J-O parameters and quantum efficiencies of Eu3+ 5D0 energy level were calculated, and the concentration quenching of Eu3+ luminescence in different matrixes were studied. The results indicated that effective Eu3+:5D0-7F2 red luminescence could be achieved while excited by 395 nm near-UV light and 465 nm blue light in Gd2WO6 host, which was similar to the familiar Gd2(WO4)3:Eu. Therefore, the Gd2WO6:Eu red phosphors might have a potential application for white LED.  相似文献

Y2O3: Eu nanocrystals were synthesized by EDTA complexing sol-gel process at a relatively low temperature, in which ethylen-diamine-tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) were used as the chelating agent and polymerization agent respectively. Formation process of Y2O3:Eu and structure characterization were carried out by TG-DTA, XRD, SEM/EDX. The results show that pure cubic phase Y203: Eu nanocrystalsere is produced after the precursor calcinated at 600℃ for 2 h, and the crystallinity increases with increasing calcination temperature. The nanoparticles of the Y2O3: Eu are basically spherical in shape. The mean particle size increases from about 30 to 70 nm when the calcination temperature increases from 600 to 1000℃. The luminescent properties of phosphor were analyzed by measuring the excitation and emission spectra. The main emission peak of the sample is around 612 nm, resulting in a red emission. The emission intensity increases with the calcination temperature. Compared with microsized Y2O3: Eu phosphors prepared by a conventional method, nanosized Y2O3: Eu synthesized by the present work, gives and a clear red shift in the emission spectrum. Moreover, the quenching concentration of Eu is raised.  相似文献

A two colour phosphor Ba 2 Mg(BO3)2:Ce3+,Eu2+,Na+ was synthesized using solid-state reaction method.Luminescence of Ba2Mg(BO3)2:Ce3+,Eu2+,Na+ showed 416 and 618 nm emission bands attributed to Ce3+ and Eu2+ emission, respectively. Energy transfer occurred from Ce3+ to Eu2+ through a significant overlap of Eu 2+ excitation spectrum with Ce3+ emission spectrum in Ba 2 Mg(BO3)2. They also showed that under the excitation of UV radiation, bluish or yellowish white light was generated by coupling a broad blue emission band and a red emission band.By combining with green phosphor, Ba2Mg(BO3 ):Ce3+,Eu2+,Na+ phosphor showed potential application for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs).  相似文献
