A facile chemical deposition method has been adopted to prepare cerium fluoride (CeF3) surface modified LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 as cathode material for lithium-ion batteries. Structure analyses reveal that the surface of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 particles is uniformly coated by CeF3. Electrochemical tests indicate that the optimal CeF3 content is 1 wt%. The 1 wt% CeF3-coated LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 can deliver a discharge capacity of 107.1 mA h g−1 even at 5 C rate, while the pristine does only 57.3 mA h g−1. Compared to the pristine, the 1 wt% CeF3-coated LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 exhibits the greatly enhanced capacity and cycling stability in the voltage range of 3.0–4.5 V, which suggests that the CeF3 coating has the positive effect on the high-voltage application of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2. According to the analyses from electrochemical impedance spectra, enhanced electrochemical performance is mainly because the stable CeF3 coating layer can prevent the HF-containing electrolyte from continuously attacking the LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 cathode and retard the passivating layer growth on the cathode.  相似文献

MoO3/reduced graphene oxide (MoO3/RGO) composites were successfully prepared via a facile one-step hydrothermal method, and evaluated as anode materials for sodium ion batteries (SIBs). The crystal structures, morphologies and electrochemical properties of the as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests, respectively. The results show that the introduction of RGO can enhance the electrochemical performances of MoO3/RGO composites. MoO3/RGO composite with 6 wt% RGO delivers the highest reversible capacity of ~208 mA h g−1 at 50 mA g−1 after 50 cycles with good cycling stability and excellent rate performance for SIBs. The excellent sodium storage performance of MoO3/RGO should be attributed to the synergistic effect between MoO3 and RGO, which offers the increased electrical conductivity, the facilitated electron transfer ability and the buffering of volume expansion.  相似文献

Porous iron oxide (Fe2O3) nanorods anchored on nitrogen-doped graphene sheets (NGr) were synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal route. After a simple microwave treatment, the iron oxide and graphene composite (NGr-I-M) exhibits excellent electrochemical performances as an anode for lithium ion battery (LIB). A high reversible capacity of 1016 mAh g1 can be reached at 0.1 A g1. When NGr-I-M electrode was further coated by 2 ALD cycles of ultrathin Al2O3 film, the first cycle Coulombic efficiency (CE), rate performance and cycling stability of the coated electrode can be greatly improved. A stable capacity of 508 mAh g1 can be achieved at 2 A g1 for 200 cycles, and an impressive capacity of 249 mAh g1 at 20 A g1 can be maintained without capacity fading for 2000 cycles. The excellent electrochemical performance can be attributed to the synergy of porous iron oxide structures, nitrogen-doped graphene framework, and ultrathin Al2O3 film coating. These results highlight the importance of a rational design of electrode materials improving ionic and electron transports, and potential of using ALD ultrathin coatings to mitigate capacity fading for ultrafast and long-life battery electrodes.  相似文献

The ternary composite, carbon coated hollow ZnSnO3 (ZS@C) cubes encapsulated in reduced graphene oxide sheets (ZS@C/rGO), was synthesized via low-temperature coprecipitation and colloid electrostatic self-assembly. The uniform carbon-coating layer not only plays a role in buffering the volume change of ZnSnO3 cubes in the charging/discharging processes, but also forms three-dimensional network with the cooperation of graphene to maintain the structural integrity and improve the electrical conductivity. The results show that the reduced graphene oxide sheets encapsulated ZS@C microcubes with a typical core-shell structure of ~700 nm in size exhibit an improved electrochemical performance compared with bare ZS@C microcubes. The ZS@C/rGO electrode delivered an initial discharge capacity of 1984 mA h g−1 at a current density of 0.1 A g−1 and maintained a capacity of 1040 mA h g−1 after 45 cycles. High specific capacity and superior cycle stability indicate that the ZS@C/rGO composite has a great potential for the application of lithium-ion anode material.  相似文献

Based on its abundance and low cost, sodium based batteries have aroused extensive attention for large scale energy-storage systems. In the current work, Na3V2(PO4)3 prepared by a facile solution evaporation method (denoted as NVP-SE) is used as cathode materials for sodium ion battery, with a control sample by solid state method. Raman spectrum and TEM are used to study the carbon layer coated on NVP-SE. The results show a highly graphitization and well-coated carbon layer, which is predominant by sp2 carbon. Graphitized carbon leads to high electrical conductivity, which can improve the rate performance of Na3V2(PO4)3 materials. Besides, GITT tests show high Na-ion diffusion coefficient. Even at 30 C, the NVP-SE cathode still delivers a capacity of 70 mAh g−1. Moreover, the material also shows great long term cycling performance. After 500 cycles at 1 C rate and 1000 cycles at 5 C, its discharge capacities are still 103.3 mAh g−1 and 85.4 mAh g−1, which maintain 92.6% and 85.0% of its initial capacity. Thus, simple preparation process and excellent electrochemical performance for Na3V2(PO4)3/C extend it as a potential material for high power applications.  相似文献

In order to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium titanium oxide, Li4Ti5O12 (LTO), for the use in the lithium-ion capacitors (LICs) application, LTO/graphene composites were synthesized through a solid state reaction. The composite exhibited an interwoven structure with LTO particles dispersed into graphene nanosheets network rather than an agglomerated state pristine LTO particles. It was found that there is an optimum percentage of graphene additives for the formation of pure LTO phase during the solid state synthesis of LTO/graphene composite. The effect of graphene nanosheets addition on electrochemical performance of LTO was investigated by a systemic characterization of galvanostatic cycling in lithium and lithium-ion cell configuration. The optimized composite exhibited a decreased polarization upon cycling and delivered a specific capacity of 173 mA h g−1 at 0.1 C and a well maintained capacity of 65 mA h g−1 even at 20 C. The energy density of 14 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 2700 W kg−1 was exhibited by a LIC full cell with a balanced mass ratio of anode to cathode along with a superior capacitance retention of 97% after 3000 cycles at a current density of 0.4 A g−1. This boost in reversible capacity, rate capability and cycling performance was attributed to a synergistic effect of graphene nanosheets, which provided a short lithium ion diffusion path as well as facile electron conduction channels.  相似文献

The paper reports on the preparation of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) modified with nanodiamond particles composites by a simple solution phase and their use as efficient electrode in electrochemical supercapacitors. The technique relies on heating aqueous solutions of graphene oxide (GO) and nanodiamond particles (NDs) at different ratios at 100 °C for 48 h. The morphological properties, chemical composition and electrochemical behavior of the resulting rGO/NDs nanocomposites were investigated using UV/vis spectrometry, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electrochemical means. The electrochemical performance, including the capacitive behavior of the rGO/NDs composites were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge curves at 1 and 2 A g−1 in 1 M H2SO4. The rGO/ND matrix with 10/1 ratio displayed the best performance with a specific capacitance of 186 ± 10 F g−1 and excellent cycling stability.  相似文献

The TiN coated Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) submicrospheres with high electrochemical performance as anode materials for lithium-ion battery were synthesized successfully by solvothermal method and subsequent nitridation process in the presence of ammonia. The XRD results revealed that the crystal structure of LTO did not change after thermal nitridation process. The submicrospheres morphology of LTO and TiN film on the surface of LTO submicrospheres were characterized by FESEM and HRTEM, respectively. XPS result confirmed that a small amount of Ti changed from Ti4+ to Ti3+ after nitridation process, which will increase the electronic conductivity of LTO. Electrochemical results showed that electrochemical performance of TiN coated LTO anode materials compared favorably with that of pure LTO. Also its rate capability and cycling performance were apparently superior to those of pure LTO. The reversible capacity of TiN-LTO is 105.2 mA h g−1 at a current density of 10 C after 100 cycles and maintain 92.9% of its initial discharge capacity, while that of pure LTO is only 83.6 mA h g−1 with a capacity retention of 90.3%. Even at 20 C, the discharge capacity of TiN coated LTO sample is 101.3 mA h g−1, compared with 77.3 mA h g−1 for pristine LTO in the potential range 1.0–2.5 V (vs. Li/Li+).  相似文献

The physicochemical property of chemically prepared graphene can be significantly changed due to the incorporating of heteroatoms into graphene. In this article, boron-doped graphene sheets are used as carbon substrates instead of graphene for loading polyaniline by in situ polymerization. Compared with the individual component and polyaniline/non-doped graphene, the sandwich-like polyaniline/boron-doped graphene exhibits remarkably enhanced electrochemical specific capacitance in both acid and alkaline electrolytes. In a three-electrode configuration, the hybrid has a specific capacitance about 406 F g−1 in 1 M H2SO4 and 318 F g−1 in 6 M KOH at 1 mV s−1. In the two-electrode system of a symmetric supercapacitor, this hybrid achieves a specific capacitance about 241 and 189 F g−1 at 0.5 A g−1 with a specific energy density around 19.9 and 30.1 Wh kg−1, in the acid and alkaline electrolytes, respectively. The as-obtained polyaniline/boron-doped graphene hybrid shows good rate performance. Notably, the obtained electrode materials exhibit long cycle stability in both acid and alkaline electrolytes (∼100% and 83% after 5000 cycles, respectively). The improved electrochemical performance of the hybrid is mainly attributed to the introduction of additional p-type carriers in carbon systems by boron-doping and the well combination of pseudocapacitive conducting polyaniline.  相似文献

LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 has been synthesized using different citric acid (chelating agent) contents to study the effect on morphology and electrochemical characteristics of the powdered compound synthesized. The citric acid content is expressed as R′ which is the ratio of citric acid to metal ions. The processing with large value of R′ yields the powder having particle size of about 200 nm. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis shows the powder has single phase layered rhombohedral structure. First cycle coulombic efficiency of the powder prepared with R = 3, is ~93% in the voltage range of 4.6–2.5 V.  相似文献

This study reports a novel strategy using ultrasound in supercritical CO2 for exfoliating graphite directly into single and few-layer graphene sheets. The mutually complementary characterizations of the as-exfoliated samples via atomic force microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy indicate that the ultrasonic power greatly affects the number of layers and the lateral size of the graphene. Single-layer graphene with a lateral size of 50–100 nm and two-layer graphene with a lateral size of 0.5–10 μm are obtained using an ultrasonic power of 300 and 120 W, respectively. As-exfoliated graphene sheets heighten the electrochemical performance of LiFePO4 cathode materials, demonstrating graphene's remarkable electrical conductivity. The specific capacity of the LiFePO4/graphene composite cathode achieves 160 mAh/g and displays stable cycling for more than 15 cycles. This technique will enable cost-effective mass production of graphene sheets with good quality, and the as-exfoliated graphene will find wide applications, including lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Three-dimensional (3D) graphene foam materials are highly favored due to large accessible surface and excellent conductive network, which can be commendably applied as self-supporting electrodes for advanced rechargeable lithium batteries (RLBs). Here, promising graphene nanosheets/acid-treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (GNS/aMWCNT)-supported 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone (DAA) organic foams [oGCTF(DAA)] are prepared by organic solvent displacement method followed by solvothermal reaction. And then electrochemical polymerization is carried out to obtain 3D porous GNS/aMWCNT organic foam-supported poly(1,5-diaminoanthraquinone) (oGCTF@PDAA) nanocomposites, which achieves the ordered growth of homogeneous PDAA nanoparticles on GNS/aMWCNT surface due to the role of oGCTF(DAA). Such structure largely improves PDAA utilization, facilitates charge transportation and suppresses the dissolution of PDAA. As a result, the oGCTF@PDAA cathode for RLBs delivers a high discharge capacity of 289 mAh g−1 at 30 mA g−1 and still retains 122 mAh g−1 at extreme 10 A g−1 for rapid charging/discharging. Moreover, superior cycling stability is achieved with only 14.8% capacity loss after 2000 cycles even at a high current density of 1 A g−1.  相似文献

Sb2S3/reduced graphene oxide (SSR) nanocomposites were successfully synthesized through a facile one-step hydrothermal process, as used as anode materials for sodium ion batteries (SIBs). The characterization and electrochemical performance of the as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests, respectively. The results show that the introduction of reduced graphene oxide (RGO) can improve the electrochemical performances of SSR nanocomposites. SSR nanocomposites with 10 wt% RGO exhibits the highest reversible capacity of 581.2 mAh g−1 at the current density of 50 mA g−1 after 50 cycles, and excellent rate performance for SIBs. The improved electrochemical performance is attributed to the smaller Sb2S3 nanoparticles dispersed on RGO crumpled structure and synergetic effects between Sb2S3 and RGO matrix, which can increase specific surface area and improve electrical conductivity, reduce sodium ion diffusion distance, and effectively buffer volume changes during cycling process.  相似文献

In this work, three dimensional (3D) NixCo1−xS2/graphene composite hydrogels with different Ni contents (denoted as NixCo1−xS2/GH (x = 0, 0.31, 0.56, 0.66, 1)) have been synthesized by a simple one-step hydrothermal method and utilized as the active materials of supercapacitors. The as-prepared samples present a 3D interconnected porous network with the pore sizes in the range of several to tens micrometers. Interestingly, the NixCo1−xS2 particles are uniformly located on the graphene network and the particle size is evolved from ∼50 nm to ∼1.5 μm with the increase of Ni content. The electrochemical measurements revealed that the specific capacitance, rate capability and cyclability of different NixCo1−xS2/GH electrodes are strongly affected by their different Ni content. Among these, the 3D Ni0.31Co0.69S2/GH composite has the highest specific capacitance of 1166 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g. Furthermore, a specific capacitance of 559 F/g can be still maintained at high current density of 20 A/g. After 1000 charge–discharge cycles at 5 A/g, the specific capacitance remains a high value of 755 F/g.  相似文献

In this work, cross-linked graphene aerogel (CL-GA) and its composite with Fe2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized through a one-step hydrothermal procedure by using p-phenylenediamine (PPD). Structural characterizations revealed that in the preparation of the composite PPD acts as a cross-liker and provides high surface area by decreasing restacking of graphene sheets and functions as nitrogen source simultaneously. The electrochemical characteristics of the nanocomposite were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Fast Fourier transform continues cyclic voltammetry (FFTCCV). The results show that cross-linked graphene aerogel/Fe2O3 (CL-GA/Fe2O3) nanocomposite displays enhanced supercapacitive performance, where it has capacitance of 445 at 1 A g−1, high energy density of 63 W h Kg−1, and 89% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles in 3 M KOH. Presence of PPD considerably improved supercapacitive performance of nanocomposite as a result it could be promising material in synthesis of efficient graphene/metal oxide-based electrode material for high performance supercapacitors.  相似文献

Surface-interface reaction between the electrode and electrolyte plays a key role in lithium-ion storage properties, especially for high voltage cathode such as LiCoPO4 and Ni-riched cathode. Generally, surface modification is an effective method to improve the electrochemical performance of electrode materials. Herein, in order to revise the LiCoPO4 cathode with desirable properties, uniform AlF3-modified LiCoPO4 (LiCoPO4@AlF3) cathode materials in nano-sized distribution are synthesized. XRD result indicates that there is no structural transformation observed after AlF3 coating. TEM characterization and XPS analysis reveal that the surface of LiCoPO4 particle is coated by a nano-sized uniform AlF3 layer. Further, the electrochemical results indicate that AlF3 layer significantly improves the cycling and rate performances of LiCoPO4 cathode within the voltage range of 3.0–5.0 V. After a series of optimization, 4 mol% AlF3-coated LiCoPO4 material exhibits the best properties including an initial discharge capacity of 159 mA h g?1 at 0.1 C with 91% capacity retention after 50 cycles, especially a discharge capacity of 90 mA h g?1 can be obtained at 1 C rate. CV curves indicate that the polarization of cathode is reduced by AlF3 layer and EIS curves reveal that AlF3 layer relieves the increase of resistance to facilitate Li-ion transfer at the interface between electrode and electrolyte during the cycling process. The enhanced electrochemical performances are attributed to that the AlF3 layer can stabilize the interface between the cathode and electrolyte, form steady SEI film and suppress the electrolyte continuous decomposition at 5 V high voltages. This feasible strategy and novel characteristics of LiCoPO4@AlF3 could promise the prospective applications in the stat-art of special lithium-ion battery with high energy and/or power density.  相似文献

LiMgxMn2−xO4 (x≤0.10) cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries were prepared by molten-salt combustion and then structurally characterized by powder X-ray diffraction. All the cathode materials were identified as the spinel structure of LiMn2O4 and the lattice parameter decreased as the Mg content of LiMgxMn2−xO4 increased. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the average particle size and agglomeration decreased with increasing Mg content. Galvanostatic charge–discharge experiments showed that Mg doping could effectively enhance the cycling performance of the cathode materials. LiMg0.05Mn1.95O4 demonstrated excellent electrochemical performance with an initial discharge specific capacity of 122.0 mA h g−1 and capacity retention of 86.4% after 100 cycles at 0.5 C (1 C=148 mA g−1). Rate performance, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements showed that the Mg-doped spinels had high rate capability and reversible cycling performance.  相似文献

The interfacial electronic structure of MoO3−x/graphene has been investigated using photoemission spectroscopy. The experimental data showed that upon deposition of MoO3−x, the Fermi level of graphene shifts downward gradually from its Dirac point due to the p-type doping effect. From the Fermi level shift of −0.28 eV, the hole density of graphene was estimated to be 5.44 × 1012 cm−2. The formation of surface negative dipole due to electron transfer from graphene to the deposited MoO3−x films increased the sample′s work function. The existence of gap states in MoO3−x induced by oxygen vacancies greatly reduced the hole injection barrier at the MoO3−x/graphene interface.  相似文献

Graphene supported porous Si@C ternary composites had been synthesized by various routes and their structural, morphological and electrochemical properties were investigated. Porous Si spheres coated with carbon layer and supported by graphene have been designed to form a 3D carbon conductive network. Used as anode materials for lithium ion batteries, graphene supported porous Si@C ternary composites demonstrate excellent electrochemical performance and cycling stability. The first discharge capacity is 2184.7 mA h/g at a high current density of 300 mA/g. After 50 cycles, the reversible capacity is 652.4 mA h/g at a current density of 300 mA/g and the coulomb efficiency reaches at 98.7%. SmPO4 coated Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2 cathode materials were prepared by the precipitation method and calcined at 450 °C. The crystal structures and electrochemical properties of the pristine and coated samples are studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction spectroscopy, galvanostatic cycling, cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). It has been found that the electrochemical performances of the Li-rich cathode material have been substantially improved by SmPO4 surface coating. Especially, the 2 wt% SmPO4-coated sample demonstrates the best cycling performance, with capacity retention of 88.4% at 1 C rate after 100 cycles, which is much better than that of 72.3% in the pristine sample. The improved electrochemical properties have been ascribed to the SmPO4 coating layer, which not only stabilizes the cathode structure by decreasing the loss of oxygen, but also protects the Li-rich cathode material from side reaction with the electrolyte and increases the Li+ migration rate at the cathode interface.  相似文献
