This sequence of courses is a major component of Drexel's E4 experimental program which spans the freshman and sophomore years. It is based on the premise that there exists a central body of knowledge, methods and attitudes which constitute the “Art” of Engineering. Further, exposing students to this art at the very beginning of their education is an excellent way to introduce them to the profession. The subject matter emphasizes design as the critical professional essence, interdisciplinary and common fundamentals, the pivotal roles of the computer and experimentation, and the imperative for superior communications skills. The methodology is experiential, consisting of several practicums, experiments and projects. The achievement and growth of participating students has been impressive. Evaluations indicate that the program also generates considerable interest and enthusiasm among the students and a sense of pride in their accomplishments. It appears that most students begin to understand what it means to be an engineer and many begin to enjoy the practice of the profession. 相似文献

本文分析了金属/电介质纳米多层膜的电磁响应和能量转换的物理原理,提出了基本理论框架,讨论了电磁响应的前提条件,透射效应、电磁响应模式、等离子模型、响应模式效率和本构特性的尺寸效应。实验结果表明,超薄Al、Ti、Fe膜在纳米范围内,随厚度变化,电导率、光学常数、介电常数、磁导率、载流子浓度和等离子体共振均存在尺寸效应。本文还讨论了纳米结构设计的基本原理。 相似文献

针对自供电磁流变阻尼调节系统的能量供给问题,提出基于脉冲液流换能器的振动能量回收方法,通过振动能-液流能-机械能-电能的变换,实现振动能量回收。建立了基于齿轮马达、飞轮和永磁发动机的脉冲液流换能器分析模型,利用Matlab软件对正弦振动下换能器的电压输出特性、功率转换特性和转换效率进行仿真。为验证理论分析的正确性,设计制作了基于脉冲液流换能器的振动能量回收装置,利用J95-I减振器测试台上对振动能量回收装置实验测试,比较了正弦激励条件下换能器的理论电压特性与实测电压特性、理论转换效率与实验转换效率。实验研究表明,脉冲液流换能器是能够实现振动能量的转换,在带30 负载情况下,效率可以达到 46.85%,平均输出功率可以达到37.4W。 相似文献

To deal with problems in synergetic development of coal-based energy engineering, this paper, guided by the philosophy of engineering, proposes the synergetic management philosophy of “factors coordination, systems synergy, dynamic optimization and three-dimension planning.” The paper also establishes the synergetic management system characterized by systems factor synergy, resource-environment synergy and systems boundary extension and supported by the “two-wheel driven” management innovation and technological innovation. In addition, the paper presents a multi-objective dynamic optimization model for energy engineering, designed based on Shenhua’s own engineering practice, to analyze Pareto optimal solution in three scenarios: best resource allocation, minimal environmental impact and maximal value creation. 基站节能系统可有效地降低基站运营成本。通过运用CFD(计算流体动力学)方法对一运用机械通风来散热的节能型移动机站的室内气流进行了数值模拟,分析了多个断面上速度矢量和温度等值线的分布。模拟结果与实际物理过程的基本一致,表明CFD方法完全可以作为室内气流组织设计的一种技术手段,从而大大缩短机房的设计周期以及节省试验费用。 相似文献
