The wheat bran was magnetically modified with microwave-synthesized magnetic iron oxides particles. Magnetic wheat bran was chosen as a biosorbent for removal of uranium from aqueous solutions. The uranium sorption increased with increasing pH and reached a plateau between pH 4.0 and 10.0. The increase of temperature slightly improved the sorption process. The uranium adsorption followed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.  相似文献

Abstract

The Zr(IV) and Hf(IV) biosorption characteristics of rice bran, wheat bran and Platanus orientalis tree leaves were examined as a function of initial pH, contact time, temperature, and initial metal ions concentration. Adsorption equilibriums were achieved in about 1, 5 and 40 min for rice bran, wheat bran, and leaves respectively. The biosorption behavior of leaves was significantly affected by solution pH whereas rice bran and wheat bran adsorption efficiencies were slightly affected by solution pH. The Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption equations, which are commonly used to describe sorption equilibrium for metals removal by biomasses, were use to represent the experimental and equilibrium data fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm model. The negative Gibbs free energy values obtained in this study with rice bran wheat bran and Platanus orientalis tree leaves confirmed the feasibility of the process and the spontaneous nature of sorption. In the optimum conditions, the adsorption efficiencies of other metal ions such as Fe3+, Cu2+, Pb2+, Hg2+, La3+, Ce3+ were significantly lower than Zr(IV) and Hf(IV) ions and these biomasses are excellent sorbents for the selective uptake of proposed ions from acidic aqueous solutions.  相似文献

The dominant status of coal on the energy production and consumption structure of China will not be changed in the middle period of this century. To realize highly efficient utilization of coal, low pollution and low cost are great and impendent tasks. These difficult problems can be almost resolved through establishing large-scale pithead power stations using two-stage highly efficient dry coal-cleaning system before coal burning, which is a highly efficient, clean and economical strategy considering the current energy and environmental status of China. Rice bran oil (RBO) is popular in several countries such as Japan, India, Korea, China and Indonesia as a cooking oil. It has been shown that RBO is an excellent cooking and salad oil due to its high smoke point and delicate flavor. The nutritional qualities and health effects of rice bran oil are also established. RBO is rich in unsaponifiable fraction (unsap), which contains the micronutrients like vitamin E complexes, gamma oryzanol, phytosterols, polyphenols and squalene. However, the high FFA and acetone-insoluble content of RBO made it difficult for processing. Therefore, in recent years, research interest has been growing in RBO processing to obtain good quality oil with low refining loss. This review article deals with detailed reports on RBO processing including membrane-based techniques from the production and quality point of view.  相似文献
