This paper is concerned with delay-dependent passivity analysis for delayed neural networks (DNNs) of neutral type. We first discuss the passivity conditions for DNNs without uncertainties and then extend this result to the case of interval uncertainties. By partitioning the delay intervals into multiple equidistant subintervals, some appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals (LKFs) are constructed on these intervals. Considering these new LKFs and using free-weighting matrix approach, several new passivity criteria are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which are dependent on the size of the time delay. Finally, five numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and less conservatism of the developed techniques.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent stability analysis for singular systems with a constant time delay. By employing the Jensen inequality and the Wirtinger-based inequality, new delay-dependent stability criteria are developed. Furthermore, in order to obtain less conservative results, a new method of constructing Lyapunov--Krasovskii functionals (LKFs) is used. It should be pointed out that the positive-definiteness restrictions on some symmetric matrices of the LKFs are removed. All the criteria are proposed in terms of strict linear matrix inequalities. Finally, numerical examples are given to demonstrate the less conservatism of the results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with stability of linear time-delay systems of both retarded and neutral types by using some new simple quadratic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. These Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals consist of two parts. One part comes from some existing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals employed in [Han, Q.-L. (2005a). Absolute stability of time-delay systems with sector-bounded nonlinearity. Automatica, 41, 2171-2176; Han, Q.-L. (2005b). A new delay-dependent stability criterion for linear neutral systems with norm-bounded uncertainties in all system matrices. International Journal of Systems Science, 36, 469-475]. The other part is constructed by uniformly dividing the discrete delay interval into multiple segments and choosing proper functionals with different weighted matrices corresponding to different segments. Then using these new simple quadratic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, some new discrete delay-dependent stability criteria are derived for both retarded systems and neutral systems. It is shown that these criteria for retarded systems and neutral systems are always less conservative than the ones in Han (2005a) and Han (2005b) cited above, respectively. Numerical examples also show that the results obtained in this paper significantly improve the estimate of the discrete delay limit for stability over some other existing results.  相似文献

Two recent Lyapunov-based methods have significantly improved the stability analysis of time-delay systems: the delay-fractioning approach of Gouaisbaut and Peaucelle (2006) for systems with constant delays and the convex analysis of systems with time-varying delays of Park and Ko (2007). In this paper we develop a convex optimization approach to stability analysis of linear systems with interval time-varying delay by using the delay partitioning-based Lyapunov–Krasovskii Functionals (LKFs). Novel LKFs are introduced with matrices that depend on the time delays. These functionals allow the derivation of stability conditions that depend on both the upper and lower bounds on delay derivatives.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the stability analysis of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with time varying delays in a given range. The delay partitioning approach is proposed to solving the problem of stability analysis for T-S fuzzy systems. By employing a new type of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, delay-range-dependent stability criteria are derived for T-S fuzzy systems. The idea of the approach is that the delay interval is uniformly divided into N segments with N a positive integer, and a proper Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is chosen with different weighted matrices corresponding to different segments in the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. All the sufficient criteria are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which can be solved efficiently by using the LMI algorithm. Finally, numerical example is given to illustrate the less conservatism of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problems of stability and H control of linear neutral systems. Firstly, some new simple Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals are constructed by uniformly dividing the discrete delay interval into multiple segments, and choosing proper functionals with different weighted matrices corresponding to different segments in the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. Then using these new simple Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, some new delay-dependent stability criteria are derived. These criteria include some existing results as their special cases and are much less conservative than some existing results, which is shown through a numerical example. Secondly, a delay-dependent bounded real lemma (BRL) is established. Employing the obtained BRL, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions for the existence of a delayed state feedback controller, which ensure asymptotic stability and a prescribed H performance level of the corresponding closed-loop system, is formulated in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI). A numerical example is also given to illustrate the effectiveness of the design method.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of the observer-based control for neutral systems with mixed time-varying delay and nonlinear perturbations is investigated. By using a class of novel augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, delay dependent stability criteria are proposed to guarantee the stability of the observer-based control systems. In terms of linear matrix inequality techniques, the observer design and maximum allowable delay bound of neutral systems can be obtained. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of delay-dependent exponential stability for fuzzy recurrent neural networks with interval time-varying delay is investigated. The delay interval has been decomposed into multiple non equidistant subintervals, on these interval Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals (LKFs) are constructed to study stability analysis. Employing these LKFs, an exponential stability criterion is proposed in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by MATLAB LMI toolbox. Numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with delay‐dependent stability for linear systems with time‐varying delays. By decomposing the delay interval into multiple equidistant subintervals, on which different Lyapunov functionals are chosen, and new Lyapunov‐Krasvskii functionals are then constructed. Employing these new Lyapunov‐Krasvskii functionals, some new delay‐dependent stability criteria are established. The numerical examples show that the obtained results are less conservative than some existing ones in the literature. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the robustness of the predictor feedback control of linear systems with input delays. By applying certain equivalent transformations on the characteristic equation associated with the closed-loop system, we first transform the robustness problem of a predictor feedback control system into the stability problem of a neutral time-delay system containing an integral operator in the derivative. The range of the allowable input delay for this neutral time-delay system can be computed by exploring its delay dependent stability conditions. In particular, delay dependent stability conditions for the neutral time-delay system are established by partitioning the delay into segments. The conservatism of this method can be reduced when the number of segments in the partition is increased. Numerical examples are worked out to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent robust stability for a class of switched Hopfield neural networks with time-varying structured uncertainties and time-varying delay. Some Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals are constructed and the linear matrix inequality(LMI)approach and free weighting matrix method are employed to devise some delay-dependent stability criteria which guarantee the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point for all admissible parametric uncertainties.By using Leihniz-Newton formula, free weighting matrices are employed to express this relationship, which implies that the new criteria are less conservative than existing ones. Some examples suggest that the proposed criteria are effective and are an improvement over previous ones.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of the robustly absolute stability for neutral‐type Lur'e systems with mixed time‐varying delay. By combining the piecewise analysis theory with the reciprocally convex method and Wirtinger‐based inequality technology, some new delay‐dependent stability criteria are proposed via a modified Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional (LKF) approach. The stability conditions can be solved by using standard linear matrix inequality (LMI) convex optimization solvers. The criteria are less conservative than some previous ones. Three numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of exponential stability criteria for neural networks with discrete and distributed time-varying delays are considered. By dividing the discrete delay interval into multiple segments and choosing a new class of Lyapunov functional which contains tripe-integral terms, some new delay-dependent stability criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The obtained criteria are less conservative because free-weighting matrices method and a convex optimization approach are considered. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this article, delay-dependent stability criteria for linear retarded and neutral systems with multiple delays are proposed by employing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and integral inequality. By the N-segmentation of delay length, we obtain more relaxed results on the delay bounds which guarantee the asymptotic stability of the linear retarded and neutral systems with multiple delays. Simulation results show that the stability boundary calculated by the proposed stability criteria are very near to the real stability boundary of the example systems. Moreover, it is shown that the proposed stability criteria are less conservative than several other existing criteria.  相似文献

In this paper, the conventional bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural network with signal transmission delay is intervalized in order to study the bounded effect of deviations in network parameters and external perturbations. The resultant model is referred to as a novel interval dynamic BAM (IDBAM) model. By combining a number of different Lyapunov functionals with the Razumikhin technique, some sufficient conditions for the existence of unique equilibrium and robust stability are derived. These results are fairly general and can be verified easily. To go further, we extend our investigation to the time-varying delay case. Some robust stability criteria for BAM with perturbations of time-varying delays are derived. Besides, our approach for the analysis allows us to consider several different types of activation functions, including piecewise linear sigmoids with bounded activations as well as the usual C1-smooth sigmoids. We believe that the results obtained have leading significance in the design and application of BAM neural networks.  相似文献
