The effects of the CCK(B) antagonists, CAM1028 and CI988 and a CCK(A) antagonist, CAM1481, were studied on the anxiety-related behaviour produced by withdrawal from chronic ethanol treatment, using the elevated plus maze. Cessation of chronic ethanol administration produced a profile, in both mice and rats, consistent with increase in anxiety-related behaviour. In mice, SC administration of CAM1028 or CI988 reduced the decrease in the time spent on the open arms, the number of entries into these arms and the increases in the latencies to first open arm entry, after withdrawal from the ethanol treatment. The increases in stretched attend postures and head dips from the closed arms and the central square seen during the withdrawal phase, were also decreased by the CCK(B) antagonists, but the decreases in the number of rears and in general activity were unaffected. The doses of CAM1028 and CI988 tested were 0.1 and 1 mg/kg; for some of the withdrawal-induced changes in behaviour only the 1 mg/kg dose was effective. In contrast, the CCK(A) antagonist, CAM1481, at the same doses, had little effect on the anxiety-related behaviour produced by withdrawal from chronic ethanol treatment, although it did decrease the changes in the number of rears and the head dipping behaviour. In rats, the majority of the changes produced by withdrawal from chronic ethanol treatment were decreased by CAM1028 at 1 mg/kg, although the decreases in open arm entries, rearing behaviour and in overall activity were unaffected. CAM1028, CI988 and CAM1481 had no effects on the behaviour of control mice or rats in the plus-maze. The results show that CCK(B) antagonists were effective in decreasing the majority of the anxiogenic effects of withdrawal from chronic ethanol treatment.  相似文献

Comparison was made of the ability of two dihydropyridine calcium channel antagonists, nitrendipine and felodipine, to prevent a range of signs of ethanol withdrawal. The increases in handling-induced behavior seen in mice during withdrawal from chronic ethanol treatment were prevented by administration of nitrendipine, 50 mg/kg, but not by, felodipine, 10 mg/kg, a dose that caused a similar displacement of dihydropyridine binding in central nervous system tissue, in vivo and in vitro. A higher dose of felodipine, 20 mg/kg, also had no effects. Nitrendipine, but not felodipine, prevented audiogenic seizures during the withdrawal phase. Similarly, nitrendipine prevented both the decrease in thresholds for N-methyl-DL-aspartate seizures and the increase in thresholds for convulsions due to 4-aminopyridine, which were seen during the withdrawal period, while felodipine did not alter either of these changes. Withdrawal from the ethanol chronic treatment increased the thresholds to seizures produced by intravenous aminophylline; this change was also prevented by nitrendipine. The significance of this increase in thresholds was lost after felodipine administration. In naive mice (not treated with ethanol) the doses of nitrendipine and felodipine used in the withdrawal studies were tested against the effects of convulsant drugs. Both dihydropyridines increased, to similar extents, the thresholds for seizures produced by bicuculline, pentylenetetrazol, and by N-methyl-DL-aspartate. The thresholds for aminophylline were unaltered by either dihydropyridine. In contrast, the thresholds for seizures due to 4-aminopyridine in the naive animals were not changed by felodipine, but were increased by nitrendipine. The results suggest that changes in potassium, as well as calcium, may possibly be involved in some of the stages of the ethanol withdrawal syndrome.  相似文献

1. Gabapentin (neurontin) is a novel antiepileptic agent that binds to the alpha 2 delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels. The only other compound known to possess affinity for this recognition site is the (S)-(+)-enantiomer of 3-isobutylgaba. However, the corresponding (R)-(-)-enantiomer is 10 fold weaker. The present study evaluates the activity of gabapentin and the two enantiomers of 3-isobutylgaba in formalin and carrageenan-induced inflammatory pain models. 2. In the rat formalin test, S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba (1-100 mg kg-1) and gabapentin (10-300 mg kg-1) dose-dependently inhibited the late phase of the nociceptive response with respective minimum effective doses (MED) of 10 and 30 mg kg-1, s.c. This antihyperalgesic action of gabapentin was insensitive to naloxone (0.1-10.0 mg kg-1, s.c.). In contrast, the R-(-)-enantiomer of 3-isobutylgaba (1-100 mg kg-1) produced a modest inhibition of the late phase at the highest dose of 100 mg kg-1. However, none of the compounds showed any effect during the early phase of the response. 3. The s.c. administration of either S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba (1-30 mg kg-1) or gabapentin (10-100 mg kg-1), after the development of peak carrageenan-induced thermal hyperalgesia, dose-dependently antagonized the maintenance of this response with MED of 3 and 30 mg kg-1, respectively. Similar administration of the two compounds also blocked maintenance of carrageenan-induced mechanical hyperalgesia with MED of 3 and 10 mg kg-1, respectively. In contrast, R-(-)-3-isobutylgaba failed to show any effect in the two hyperalgesia models. 4. The intrathecal administration of gabapentin dose-dependently (1-100 micrograms/animal) blocked carrageenan-induced mechanical hyperalgesia. In contrast, administration of similar doses of gabapentin into the inflamed paw was ineffective at blocking this response. 5. Unlike morphine, the repeated administration of gabapentin (100 mg kg-1 at start and culminating to 400 mg kg-1) over 6 days did not lead to the induction of tolerance to its antihyperalgesic action in the formalin test. Furthermore, the morphine tolerance did not cross generalize to gabapentin. The s.c. administration of gabapentin (10-300 mg kg-1), R-(-) (3-100 mg kg-1) or S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba (3-100 mg kg-1) failed to inhibit gastrointestinal motility, as measured by the charcoal meal test in the rat. Moreover, the three compounds (1-100 mg kg-1, s.c.) did not generalize to the morphine discriminative stimulus. Gabapentin (30-300 mg kg-1) and S-(+)-isobutylgaba (1-100 mg kg-1) showed sedative/ataxic properties only at the highest dose tested in the rota-rod apparatus. 6. Gabapentin (30-300 mg kg-1, s.c.) failed to show an antinociceptive action in transient pain models. It is concluded that gabapentin represents a novel class of antihyperalgesic agents.  相似文献

An opioid withdrawal syndrome was induced in rats by repeated morphine administration and final naloxone injection. The withdrawal causes alteration of several physiological signs. The aim of the study was to prevent the altered physiological profiles by utilising otilonium bromide. Morphine was administered in three daily i.p. injections for 4 days at doses of 9, 16 and 25 mg/kg (1st day), 25, 25 and 50 mg/kg (2nd day), 50, 50 and 50 mg/kg (3rd day) and 50, 50 and 100 mg/kg (4th day). Naloxone was injected (30 mg/kg) i.p. 180 min after the last morphine injection. Otilonium bromide was administered orally at 0, 2, 4 and 8 mg/kg, 120 min before the naloxone administration. Signs like faecal and urine excretion, rectal temperature and pain threshold levels, salivation, jumping and wet dog shakes were affected in different ways. Notably the administration of otilonium bromide in rats receiving morphine together with naloxone decreased the intensity of certain withdrawal symptoms, such as excretion of faeces, wet dog shake behaviour, and elevated the nociceptive threshold values. The effects exhibited by otilonium bromide administration may be explained through its calcium antagonist activity interfering with a mechanism involved in the regulation of these previously mentioned withdrawal symptoms. The use of this drug is thus suggested as a possible control of some acute opioid withdrawal signs in heroin addicts.  相似文献

In this study, the effects of dexmedetomidine, a selective alpha 2-adrenoceptor agonist, on ethanol withdrawal symptoms, were compared with those of diazepam and propranolol. The rats were given highly intoxicating doses of ethanol for 4 days. After the intoxication period, rats were divided into four equal groups: a dexmedetomidine-treated group (30 micrograms/kg, sc), a diazepam-treated group (2 mg/kg, sc), a propranolol-treated group (5 mg/kg, sc), and a control group with no medication. Medication was given in the withdrawal phase-2, 8, 14, and 20 hr after the onset of the withdrawal symptoms. The severity of the ethanol withdrawal symptoms (rigidity, tremor, irritability, and hypoactivity) was observed up to 33 hr after the onset of the ethanol withdrawal symptoms. Both dexmedetomidine and diazepam significantly relieved tremor compared with the control group. Diazepam reduced irritability significantly, compared with the control group. When measured as the sum score of the three most specific withdrawal signs (rigidity, tremor, and irritability), dexmedetomidine and diazepam significantly relieved the ethanol withdrawal reaction. Propranolol attenuated tremor, but was inefficient against other withdrawal symptoms. Dexmedetomidine may thus represent a new effective drug in the treatment of the ethanol withdrawal syndrome.  相似文献

Assessed the effect of an ascending dose regimen on the development of tolerance to diazepam's anticonvulsant effect. During the 22 trials of the tolerance development phase, 55 adult male, amygdala-kindled rats received either a series of dosage injections ranging from high (10 mg/kg), to low (1 mg/kg), and ascending (1 mg/kg and increased by 0.2-mg/kg increments to 3 mg/kg) or saline injections. Diazepam was administered by intraperitoneal/ly (ip) injection once every 48 hrs, and each injection was followed 1 hr later by a convulsive stimulation. The ascending dose rats displayed significantly more tolerance to the anticonvulsant effect of diazepam than did the high dose, low dose, or saline rats. By contrast, both the ascending and high dose rats displayed a significant withdrawal effect (i.e., increased duration of convulsions) after the cessation of diazepam injections. Results demonstrate that administration of ascending dosages can facilitate the development of tolerance to anticonvulsant drug effects and that tolerance and withdrawal are not necessarily inextricably related. The effect of dexmedetomidine, a selective alpha 2-adrenoceptor agonist, on ethanol withdrawal symptoms was studied in chronically ethanol-fed rats. After a 4-day ethanol intoxication period the rats were given s.c. injections of dexmedetomidine (3, 10, or 30 micrograms/kg) or saline (control group) at 10, 16, 22, and 39 h after the last dose of ethanol. The severity of ethanol withdrawal symptoms (rigidity, tremor, irritability, hypoactivity) was rated up to 58 h, blind to the treatments. The results showed that dexmedetomidine at doses 10 and 30 micrograms/kg significantly diminished the severity of the ethanol withdrawal reaction as measured by the sum score of the three most specific withdrawal signs (rigidity, tremor, and irritability). Dexmedetomidine at 10 micrograms/kg was the most effective dose, especially in the latter half of the withdrawal period (23-58 h after last dose of ethanol). The results suggest that dexmedetomidine in the treatment of ethanol withdrawal symptoms should be further studied.  相似文献

Anxiogenic action of m-chlorophenylpiperazine (mCPP), a 5-HT1C receptor agonist, was studied in naive rats and in ethanol-tolerant rats following withdrawal from chronic ethanol administration. The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether a sensitization to mCPP develops during withdrawal from chronic ethanol. Male Long-Evans hooded rats were fed a liquid diet containing 4.5% ethanol or dextrin (as control) for four days. Twelve hours (acute withdrawal) or 4 days (protracted withdrawal) after the last dose of ethanol, rats were injected with saline or mCPP (0.08-5.0 mg/kg) and were tested in the elevated plus-maze 15 min postinjection. A reduction in percent open-arm activity, indicative of anxiogenic behavior, was observed in ethanol-treated rats injected with saline. Administration of mCPP further reduced the percent open-arm entries and time in ethanol-withdrawn rats. An eightfold reduction in maximum effective dose of mCPP was observed during acute ethanol withdrawal as compared to that in naive rats. During protracted ethanol withdrawal the maximum effective dose of mCPP was reduced by 75%. A shift of the mCPP dose-response curve to the left following withdrawal from chronic ethanol may indicate that 5-HT1C receptor sites are more sensitive to the activation by an agonist. This effect may be exploited in developing specific 5-HT1C receptor antagonists for the treatment of ethanol withdrawal symptoms.  相似文献

The effect of a dopamine receptor antagonist on locomotor activity was examined during withdrawal from either self-administered or experimenter-administered cocaine. In the self-administration experiment, the locomotor response to a challenge injection of cis-flupenthixol was assessed in photocell cages at 4 h after the cessation of a 12-h cocaine self-administration session. Rats which had self-administered cocaine, and were challenged with cis-flupenthixol (0.05 mg/kg), were found to be hypoactive relative to controls. In the experimenter-administered cocaine experiment, animals were given eight IP injections of 15 mg/kg cocaine over a 9.5-h period, for a total of 120 mg/kg. At 4, 8, and 24 h (tested in three separate groups of rats) after cessation of the eight injections, the locomotor response to a challenge injection of saline or cis-flupenthixol was tested. Cocaine-treated animals displayed a dose-dependent, heightened sensitivity to the locomotor depressant effects of 0.05 mg/kg and 0.2 mg/kg cis-flupenthixol 4 h post-cocaine, whereas they did not show increased sensitivity to 0.05 mg/kg cis-flupenthixol 8 or 24 h post-cocaine. However, cocaine-treated animals displayed a mild hypoactivity 8 h post-cocaine. In a separate group of animals, a dose-response experiment was performed which indicated that a dose of cis-flupenthixol as high as 0.2 mg/kg was required to produce locomotor depression in cocaine-naive rats. The results of this study support clinical observations of dopamine antagonist-precipitated motor dysfunction in abstinent cocaine abusers, and lend further support to the hypothesis that alterations in dopaminergic neurotransmission consequent to prolonged cocaine exposure are partly responsible for some of the symptoms of cocaine withdrawal.  相似文献

Gabapentin and S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba are anticonvulsant agents that selectively interact with the alpha2delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels. This report describes the activities of these two compounds in a rat model of postoperative pain. An incision of the plantaris muscle of a hind paw induced thermal hyperalgesia and tactile allodynia lasting at least 3 days. Postoperative testing was carried out using the plantar test for thermal hyperalgesia and von Frey hairs for tactile allodynia. A single s.c. dose of gabapentin, 1 h before surgery, dose-dependently (3-30 mg/kg) blocked the development of allodynia and hyperalgesia with a minimum effective dose (MED) of 10 and 30 mg/kg, respectively. The highest dose of gabapentin prevented development of hyperalgesia and allodynia for 24 and 49 h, respectively. Similar administration of S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba also dose-dependently (3-30 mg/kg, s.c.) prevented development of hyperalgesia and allodynia with MED of 3 and 10 mg/kg, respectively. The highest dose of S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba completely blocked development of both nociceptive responses for 3 days. The administration of S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba (30 mg/kg s.c.) 1 h after surgery also completely blocked the maintenance of hyperalgesia and allodynia, but its duration of action was much shorter (3 h). The administration of morphine (1-6 mg/kg s.c.) 0.5 h before surgery prevented the development of thermal hyperalgesia with a MED of 1 mg/kg. However, unlike gabapentin and S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba, it had little effect on the development of tactile allodynia. It is suggested that gabapentin and S-(+)-3-isobutylgaba may be effective in the treatment of postoperative pain.  相似文献

Gabapentin is a new antiepileptic drug. Its mechanism of action is not clearly understood, but it seems to differ from that of other antiepileptic drugs. The favourable pharmacokinetic properties of gabapentin make it simple to use. Our preliminary clinical observations with gabapentin at the National Center for Epilepsy are presented. 58 adult patients (mean age 28.9 years), mainly with refractory partial seizures, had gabapentin added to their existing medication. The follow-up period was 6.9 months on average. Only one patient experienced a reduction in seizures of more than 50%, while 25 patients experienced a moderate reduction in seizures (10-50%). The clinical effect was most favourable in patients with secondary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Gabapentin was well tolerated, and no clinically significant interactions were encountered. Recent observations show that the doses of gabapentin used in our study may have been too low.  相似文献

The effect of repeated cocaine administration on serotonin2 (5-HT2) receptor function was examined in male rats. Rats were fitted with indwelling jugular catheters and subsequently received cocaine (15 mg/kg, i.p., b.i.d.) or saline for 7 days. Rats were challenged with the 5-HT2 agonist DOI (25, 100, 400 micrograms/kg, i.v.) or saline 42 hr and 8 days after cessation of chronic treatment. Serial blood samples were collected at various times after DOI challenge and analyzed for prolactin levels. DOI-induced head shakes and skin jerks were examined concurrently in the same subjects. After 42 hr of withdrawal, the stimulatory effects of DOI on prolactin release and shaking behavior were significantly enhanced in cocaine-treated rats. Conversely, the skin jerk response to DOI was not altered by prior cocaine exposure. After 8 days of withdrawal, the prolactin and head shake responses to DOI were still potentiated in cocaine-treated rats, but this effect was no longer statistically significant. The data indicate that chronic cocaine enhances the sensitivity of 5-HT2 receptor mechanisms. Our findings further suggest the possibility that altered 5-HT2 receptor function may be involved in the mood disturbances experienced by abstinent cocaine addicts.  相似文献

The present study assessed the ability of various site-selective N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonists to affect the discriminative stimulus properties of naloxone in morphine-dependent rats. Adult male Wistar rats were trained to discriminate 0.1 mg/kg of s.c. naloxone from saline using a Y-maze shock-avoidance procedure. Naloxone-appropriate responding was exhibited as a function of naloxone dose (0.01-1.0 mg/kg, ED50 = 0.03 mg/kg) and was also observed when morphine treatment temporarily was discontinued (8-96 hr, peak at 24 hr). Discriminative stimulus effects of naloxone (0.1-3.0 mg/kg) were antagonized by morphine (10-100 mg/kg). Ligands of peripheral opioid receptors failed to either substitute for naloxone (methylnaloxone, 0.1-3.0 mg/kg) or attenuate naloxone's stimulus effects (loperamide, 1-30 mg/kg). In rats treated with the training dose of naloxone, administration of dizocilpine (0.03-0.3 mg/kg) and D-CPPene (1-10 mg/kg) decreased levels of naloxone-appropriate responding, whereas memantine (1-30 mg/kg), ACEA-1021 (10 and 50 mg/kg) and eliprodil (3-30 mg/kg) seemed to have little or no effects. Meanwhile, all NMDA receptor antagonists produced a decrease in the occurrence of two or more of the following opioid withdrawal signs: weight loss, forelimb tremor, ptosis, diarrhea and "wet-dog"-like shaking. Additionally, dizocilpine (0.1 mg/kg), D-CPPene (5.6 mg/kg) and ACEA-1021 (50 mg/kg) but not memantine (10 mg/kg) or eliprodil (30 mg/kg) significantly reduced the naloxone-appropriate escape area selection when administered during the period of suspended morphine treatment 24 hr after the last morphine injection. Thus, NMDA receptor antagonists appear to inhibit the discriminative stimulus effects of both naloxone-precipitated and spontaneous morphine withdrawal, and this ability depends on the type of antagonist applied.  相似文献

Anticonvulsants that induce hepatic metabolism increase clearance of oral contraceptive hormones and thereby cause contraceptive failure. Gabapentin is not metabolized in humans and has little liability for causing metabolic-based drug-drug interactions. In healthy women receiving 2.5 mg norethindrone acetate and 50 microg ethinyl estradiol daily for three consecutive menstrual cycles, concurrent gabapentin administration did not alter the steady-state pharmacokinetics of either hormone. Thus, gabapentin is unlikely to cause contraceptive failure.  相似文献

The effect of systemic morphine on 3 behaviors in the same group of chronic spinal rats was examined: the tail-flick (TF) reflex to a noxious thermal stimulus, limb withdrawal (LW) to mechanoreceptor (von Frey hair) stimulation, and hind limb flexion (flexor reflex [FR]) elicited by innocuous electrical stimulation of the toes. Compared with intact rats, the potency of morphine on both the TF and the hind paw (but not the forepaw) LW response was significantly reduced. Morphine's effect on the FR depended on the dose. The lowest dose (1.0 mg/kg) produced no change, 4.0 mg/kg decreased response magnitude by approximately 50% (indicating an antispastic effect), and 8.0 mg/kg increased flexor magnitude by 100%. The concurrent TF and FR assays revealed a dissociation of morphine's effects in that the highest dose (8.0 mg/kg) significantly inhibited the nociceptive TF response but facilitated the FR in the same chronic spinal rats. This outcome may be relevant to the phenomenon of "opioid-related myoclonus" recently described in cancer patients, which "was highly associated with nerve dysfunction due to spinal cord lesions" (S. Mercadante, 1998, p. 6). (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved)  相似文献

Phenobarbital (PB) (5, 25 and 50 mg/kg), which was administered intraperitoneally to evaluate the effect of it on El mice, inhibited convulsive seizures dose-dependently. On the other hand, microelectrodes were implanted continually into the hippocampus of El mice, after which changes in the neuronal activity caused by a seizure were studied, as well as the effect of PB (5, 25 and 50 mg/kg) on the neuronal activity. The neuronal activity increased during the convulsive seizure when compared to the neuronal activity as the mice moved about freely. Further, after the convulsive seizure, five or six groups of bursts were seen periodically. PB reduced the neuronal activity dose-dependently judging by the number of bursts in the initial group of bursts.  相似文献

The anticonvulsant activities of intraperitoneally (IP) given carbamazepine (CBZ) or diphenylhydantoin (DPH), expressed as their respective ED50 values in mg/kg, were assessed after caffeine (CAFF) treatment against maximal electroshock-induced seizures in mice. CAFF was administered IP either in a single dose or every 12 h for 3 (subchronic CAFF) and 14 days (chronic CAFF). Moreover, the protective activity of the antiepileptics was determined in mice which, following chronic CAFF, received a challenge dose of CAFF after either 24 or 72 h since CAFF withdrawal. A significant reduction of the protective efficacy of CBZ was observed after chronic CAFF treatment (in a dose of 11.55 mg/kg), while a single dose and a 3-day treatment did not alter the action of CBZ. In case of CAFF (23.1 mg/kg), a significant elevation of CBZ's ED50 value was noted after 3- and 14-day treatments with CAFF. In contrast, chronic CAFF (23.1-46.2 mg/kg) decreased the anticonvulsive activity of DPH to the same extent as did acute CAFF. Moreover the ED50 values for both, CBZ and DPH, evaluated 24 h after a 14-day treatment with CAFF (in doses of 23.1 and 46.2 mg/kg, respectively), were significantly elevated compared to respective control groups. A strong impairment of the anticon-vulsant action of CBZ and DPH was observed when a challenge dose of CAFF was injected following either 24 or 72 h injection-free time. Pharmacokinetic interactions do not seem to explain the obtained results in terms of total plasma levels of the antiepileptics after chronic treatment with CAFF. Our results may suggest that epileptic patients should avoid CAFF-containing beverages and medicines.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To compare the efficacy and tolerability of mibefradil and amlodipine in patients with uncomplicated mild-to-moderate essential hypertension. DESIGN: A double-blind, randomised, parallel group multicentre trial. METHODS: 239 patients received 50 mg mibefradil or 5 mg amlodipine for 4 weeks, followed by a forced titration to 100 mg mibefradil or 10 mg amlodipine for an additional 8 weeks. Patients then entered a 4-week withdrawal period either on therapy or switched to placebo. RESULTS: Statistically equivalent reductions in trough sitting diastolic blood pressure (SDBP) were observed after 12 weeks of once-daily treatment with 50/100 mg mibefradil (-11.5 +/- 8.2 mm Hg) and 5/10 mg amlodipine (-13.2 +/- 7.9 mm Hg). The number of patients with normalised SDBP (< or = 90 mm Hg) increased 23.3% in the mibefradil group and 19.5% in the amlodipine group (approximately 74% in both groups). Patients on mibefradil or amlodipine during the withdrawal period had significantly larger decreases in SDBP than those on placebo. Patients on mibefradil had a decrease in heart rate of 5.5 bpm. Patients on amlodipine had no change in heart rate; however, cessation of amlodipine was associated with a decrease in heart rate. CONCLUSIONS: Mibefradil was as effective as amlodipine in reducing BP; both compounds were effective treatments of hypertension.  相似文献

Studies related to 5-HT2A/2C receptors and these receptor-linked phosphoinositide (PI) system in the rat brain during chronic ethanol treatment and withdrawal are discussed. Chronic ethanol treatment (60 days) has no effect on 5-HT2A/2C receptors in the cortex and the hippocampus but significantly decreased 5-HT-stimulated PI hydrolysis in the rat cortex. On the other hand, chronic ethanol treatment (60 days) significantly increased 5-HT2C receptors and 5-HT-stimulated PI hydrolysis in the rat choroid plexus. Ethanol withdrawal (24 h) after chronic ethanol consumption (15 days) results in the down-regulation of 5-HT2A receptors and in a decrease in 5-HT-stimulated PI hydrolysis in the rat cortex. Taken together, these results, along with other reports in the literature, suggest that 5-HT2A/2C receptors or their function are altered during chronic ethanol consumption and withdrawal. Further studies are needed to explore the role of 5-HT2A/2C receptors and the PI signal transduction system in the development of ethanol withdrawal symptoms after chronic ethanol consumption.  相似文献
