A series of regular shaped Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3‐based ternary ferroelectric single crystals (1 ? x)Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3–0.33Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3xPbTiO3 (PIN–PZN–PT) have been grown by means of the top‐seeded solution growth method that prevented pyrochlore phase and promoted [001] or [111] growth. The nucleation and crystallization behavior of the Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3‐based ferroelectric single crystals differed from other relaxor‐based ferroelectric single crystals was discovered. Di‐/piezo‐/ferro‐/pyroelectric properties were characterized systematically. The PIN–PZN–PT single crystals showed large coercive fields Ec, high Curie temperature TC and high pyroelectric coefficient P, presenting similar performance but better thermal stability compared with the PZN–PT single crystals, and making it a promising material for transducers and IR detectors in a wider temperature range.  相似文献

A ternary ferroelectric ceramic system, (1?x?y)Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3xPb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3yPbTiO3 (PIN–PZN–PT, x = 0.21, 0.27, 0.36, 0.42), was prepared using a two‐step precursor method. The phase structure, dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties of the ternary ceramics were systematically investigated. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) was identified by X‐ray diffraction. The optimum piezoelectric and electromechanical properties were achieved for a composition close to MPB (0.5PIN–0.21PZN–0.29PT), where the piezoelectric coefficient d33, planar electromechanical coupling factor kp, and remnant polarization Pr are 660 pC/N,72%, and 45 μC/cm2, respectively. The Curie temperature TC and rhombohedral to tetragonal phase transition temperature TR?T were also derived by temperature dependence of dielectric measurements. The strongly “bended” MPB in the PIN–PT system was found to be “flattened” after addition of PZN in the PIN–PT–PZN system. The results demonstrate a possibility of growing ferroelectric single crystals with high electromechanical properties and expanded range of application temperature.  相似文献

For rhombohedral (R) Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3–PbZrO3–Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 (PIN–PZ–PMN–PT) relaxor single crystal, high temperature‐insensitive behaviors under different external stimuli were observed (remnant polarization Pr from 30°C to 180°C and piezoelectric strain d33* from 30°C to 116°C). When electric field E ≥ 50 kV/cm in the case of an activation field Ea = 40‐50 kV/cm was applied, it was found that the domain switching was accompanied by a phase transition. The high relaxor nature of the R phase PIN–PZ–PMN–PT was speculated to account for the large Ea and high piezoelectric response. The short‐range correlation lengths extracted from the out‐of‐plane (OP) and in‐plane (IP) nanodomain images, were 64 nm and 89 nm, respectively, which proved the high relaxor nature due to In3+ and Zr4+ ions entering the B‐site in the ABO3‐lattice and enhancing the disorder of B‐site cations in the R phase PIN–PZ–PMN–PT. The switching process of R nanodomain variants under the step‐increased tip DC voltage was visually revealed. Moreover, the time‐dependent domain evolution confirmed the high relaxor nature of the R phase PIN–PZ–PMN–PT single crystal.  相似文献

The (1?x)BaTiO3xBi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3 (x = 0.01–0.30) ceramics were synthesized by solid‐state reactions. The solubility limit was determined to be x = 0.20. A systematic structural transition from a tetragonal phase (x ≤ 0.034), to a mixture of tetragonal and rhombohedral phases (0.038 ≤ x ≤ 0.20), and finally to a pseudocubic phase (x ≥ 0.22) at room temperature was identified. Dielectric measurement revealed a ferroelectric (x ≤ 0.04) to relaxor (x ≥ 0.06) transition with permittivity peak broadening and flattening, which was further verified by Raman spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Activation energies obtained from the Vogel–Fulcher model displayed an increasing trend from ~0.03 eV for x ~ 0.05, to unusually high values (>0.20 eV) for the compositions with x ≥ 0.15. With the increase in Bi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3 content, the polarization hysteresis demonstrated a tendency from high nonlinearity to sublinearity coupled with the reduction in remnant polarization and coervice field. The deconvolution of the irreversible/reversible polarization contribution was enabled by first‐order reversal curve distributions, which indicates that the decreasing polarization nonlinearity with the increase in Bi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3 concentration could be related with the change from the ferroelectric domain and domain wall contributions to the weakly coupled relaxor behaviors.  相似文献

The charge release and related mechanisms for Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)–Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)–PbTiO3 (PIN–PMN–PT) ferroelectric crystals under one‐dimensional shock wave compression were investigated using discharge current profile measurement, by which the piezoelectric stress coefficient e31 and the phase transition (from tetragonal to orthorhombic phase) pressure were obtained, being ?2.9 C/m2 and 2.3 GPa, respectively. Based on experiment results and thermodynamics analysis, it was found that the one‐dimensional shock compression favored ferroelectric phase, being different from the effect of hydrostatic pressure, which favored paraelectric phase. This phenomenon can be attributed to the crystal anisotropy and electromechanical coupling effects as one‐dimensional shock compression is applied to PIN–PMN–PT ferroelectric crystals.  相似文献

The structural evolution and properties of 0.3Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3–0.38Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–0.32PbTiO3 (0.3PIN‐0.38PMN‐0.32PT) ferroelectric ceramics with different sintering times have been investigated. The content of the tetragonal phase is increased in samples sintered for more than 6 h, despite that the composition falls in the rhombohedral region of the previously established phase diagram. The results show that the metastable tetragonal phase at room temperature is induced and stabilized by the tensile residual stresses. Excessively long sintering time generally leads to grain coarsening, loss of lead, and deterioration of properties, while the increasing amount of the tetragonal phase, and the large residual tensile stress appear to improve the dielectric and electromechanical properties. This study offers new insights into the sintering of Pb‐based ferroelectric ceramics with complex compositions.  相似文献

In this article, perovskite‐structured BiFeO3–Bi(Zn1/2Ti1/2)O3–PbTiO3 (BF–BZT–PT) ternary solid solutions were prepared with traditional solid‐state reaction method and demonstrated to exhibit a coexistent phase boundary (CPB) with Curie temperature of TC~700°C in the form of ceramics with microstructure grain size of several micron. It was found that those CPB ceramics fabricated with conventional electroceramic processing are mechanically and electrically robust and can be poled to set a high piezoelectricity for the ceramics prepared with multiple calcinations and sintering temperature around 750°C. A high piezoelectric property of TC = 560°C, d33 = 30 pC/N, ε33T0 = 302, and tanδ = 0.02 was obtained here for the CPB 0.53BF–0.15BZT–0.32PT ceramics with average grain size of about 0.3 μm. Primary experimental investigations found that the enhanced piezoelectric response and reduced ferroelectric Curie temperature are closely associated with the small grain size of microstructure feature, which induces lattice structural changes of increased amount ratio of rhombohedral‐to‐tetragonal phase accompanying with decreased tetragonality in the CPB ceramics. Taking advantage of structural phase boundary feature like the Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 systems, through adjusting composition and microstructure grain size, the CPB BF–BZT–PT ceramics is a potential candidate to exhibit better piezoelectric properties than the commercial K‐15 Aurivillius‐type bismuth titanate ceramics. Our essay is anticipated to excite new designs of high–temperature, high–performance, perovskite‐structured, ferroelectric piezoceramics and extend their application fields of piezoelectric transducers.  相似文献

The (1?x)BaTiO3?xBi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3 (x=0.10‐0.25) ceramics were fabricated via solid‐state reactions. Temperature‐dependent polarization measurement reveals that with the temperature lowering, the remnant polarization increases till a maximum value before it decreases, showing a reentrant phenomenon. Absence of apparent switching current peaks in the current density as a function of electric field should indicate the lack of a ferroelectric transition, which is further verified by the consistent macroscopic phase structure from the Raman spectra. An anomalous peak in the full width at half maximum of a deconvoluted mode at ~515 cm?1 suggests the entering of a more disordered state of dipolar dynamics, which may be originated from the competition between the freezing of polar nanoregions and the random interacting fields.  相似文献

Abstract

Relaxor ferroelectric Pb(Sc1/2Nb1/2)O3 (PSN) superfine ceramics were fabricated by spark plasma sintering process and subjected to an annealing in oxygen ambience at a low temperature of 500°C. The microstructure of the PSN ceramics was examined by X‐ray diffraction and scanning and transmission electron microscopy, while the dielectric properties were measured in the range of 25–200°C. The dielectric measurements revealed a reverse change in the frequency dispersion ΔT and diffusive factor λ as annealing extended. Transmission electron microscopy observation and conductivity measurement revealed that the uncommon performance in relaxor properties could be attributed to the complex effects of oxygen vacancies and domain structures induced by the annealing.  相似文献

The anisotropic domain structures and local piezoresponse of rhombohedral Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbZrO3–PbTiO3 single crystals with high ferroelectric phase transition temperature (TFE‐FE≥120°C) were systematically investigated by vector piezoresponse force microscopy. The typical size of labyrinthine domain pattern for [001]C sample was in the range of 100‐200 nm, revealing its relaxor feature. While the [011]C sample exhibited ordered ribbon‐shaped domain pattern with preferential alignment along <011> direction since the modulation effect of polar nanoregions. For [111]C sample, it had messy and featureless domain patterns. For as‐grown crystal, the incorporation of Zr4+ cation in Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 system resulted in that the long‐range coulomb interactions of the charged ions in the short range order regions were weakened, leading to an increased relaxor feature. Concurrently, the incorporation of Zr4+ cation enhanced the Pb‐B repulsion intensity, resulting in an improved TFE‐FE. Temperature‐dependent properties of as‐grown crystal exhibited good temperature stability from 30 to 120°C, indicating it is a promising material for actuator and ultrasonic transducer applications.  相似文献

New binary system (1?x) PbTiO3?xBi(Ni1/2Zr1/2)O3 (PT–100x BNZ) with ≤ 0.45 were synthesized via solid‐state reaction route. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) was identified around x = 0.40 by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) method. The ceramics with MPB composition exhibit enhanced ferroelectric properties. A large piezoelectric coefficient (d33) up to 400 pC/N was obtained for the PT–40BNZ, which is comparable with the PbTiO3–BiScO3 (PT–BS, 450 pC/N).The frequency dependence of dielectric permittivity of PT–40BNZ shows characteristic of a strong relaxor feature and a transition temperature around 290°C (1 MHz). Temperature effect on the unipolar strain was also investigated. The present system with high d33 is a competitive piezoelectric material, as no expensive oxide is used here compared with the PT–BS.  相似文献

0.24Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3-0.42Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.34PbTiO3 transparent ceramics were fabricated by a conventional sintering technique. Through optimization of sintering conditions of calcination and sintering temperatures and time, the obtained ceramics showed high optical transmittance of 53% and 71% at light wavelengths of 1300 and 2000 nm, respectively. The ceramics showed a rhombohedral to tetragonal phase transition at ~120°C and a tetragonal to cubic phase transition at 222°C. These transition temperatures were higher than those of 0.67Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)-0.33PbTiO3 ceramics. In addition, the ceramics had a ferroelectric hysteresis loop, a large piezoelectric constant d33 of 407 pC/N, and a planar electromechanical coupling factor kp of 52%. These results suggest that the transparent ceramics may be used as a temperature-stable, linear electro-optic material.  相似文献

Piezoelectric ceramics with high strain response and low hysteresis are highly in demand for high-performance actuator applications. Unfortunately, the trade-off relationship between large field-induced strain and low hysteresis in piezoelectric ceramics is a key challenge for designing high-performance piezoelectric actuators. Herein, ymol%La-doped 0.10 Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3-xPbZrO3-(0.90x)PbTiO3 [0.10PIN-xPZ-(0.90-x)PT: ymol%La] ternary relaxor ferroelectric ceramics were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction technique. Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3 (PIN) as a relaxor end member was introduced into (Pb,La) (Zr,Ti)O3 (PLZT) system to improve relaxor characteristics and strain properties. A giant strain of 0.23% was obtained in 0.10PIN-0.59PZ-0.31 PT: 8mol%La ceramic at the electric field of 20 kV/cm, with a high piezoelectric d33* of 1150 pm/V and low hysteresis Hy of 6.4%, exhibiting a potential application in high-performance piezoelectric actuators. Furthermore, the effects of La ion doping and components on the ferroelectric, dielectric and electric field-induced strain properties were investigated, and provides a new way for improve the strain properties of piezoelectric materials.  相似文献

The phase structure, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of (1?2x)BiScO3xPbTiO3xPbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 ceramics (x = 0.30‐0.46) were studied. It was found that an increase in x leads to a structural phase transition between the rhombohedral and tetragonal phase via an intermediate monoclinic phase and to a crossover from the nonergodic relaxor state to the ferroelectric one. It was proposed that at x > 0.42 the phase transition changes from second to first order. The assumption about the existence of a tricritical point on the phase diagram at x ≈ 0.42 with the enhanced dielectric response has been made. The observed structure‐property relationships of the studied solid solutions are discussed. It is shown that the solid solutions with x = 0.42 are characterized by the high piezoelectric parameters (d33 = 509 pC/N, d31 = ?178 pC/N, dh = 153 pC/N), which makes possible their applications in sonar equipment.  相似文献

We reported the dielectric properties of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 single crystal in the temperature range of 300–1073 K and the frequency range of 100 Hz–10 MHz. Our results showed the coexistence of both true‐ and pseudo‐relaxor behaviors in the crystal. The true relaxor behavior related to the paraelectric‐ferroelectric phase transition occurs at~423 K. The pseudo‐relaxor behavior appearing at~773 K was found to be related to oxygen vacancies. Further investigation reveals that the pseudo‐relaxor behavior has fine structure: it contains two oxygen‐vacancy‐related relaxation processes. The low‐temperature relaxation process is a dipolar relaxation created by the hopping motions of the oxygen vacancies, and the high‐temperature relaxation process is a Maxwell‐Wagner relaxation caused by the sample/electrode contacts.  相似文献

Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 is used as a model system of perovskite solid solutions with very high piezoelectric response at tailored morphotropic phase boundaries to demonstrate the processing of textured ceramics by ceramic‐only technology. A novel homogeneous templated grain growth approach that uses conventional ceramic procedures and a single‐source nanocrystalline powder for the matrix and also for obtaining the templates is described. Two batches of (100) faceted cube‐shaped microcrystals with average sizes of 27 and 10 μm were successfully used as templates, and aligned by tape casting for the processing of <001>‐textured Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 piezoelectric ceramics. Materials with effective piezoelectric coefficients up to 1000 pC/N and ferroelectric properties approaching those of single crystals are obtained.  相似文献

Pb (In1/2Nb1/2) O3‐Pb (Sc1/2Nb1/2) O3‐PbTiO3 (PIN‐PSN‐PT) ternary ceramics with compositions near morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) were fabricated by solid‐state‐sintering process. Dielectric and piezoelectric properties of xPIN‐yPSN‐zPT (x = 0.19, 0.23 and z = 0.365, 0.385) ceramics were investigated as a function of temperature, showing high Tr‐t and Tc on the order of 160 ~ 200°C and 280 ~ 290°C, respectively. The xPIN‐yPSN‐0.365PT (x = 0.19 and 0.23) ceramics do not depolarize at the temperature up to 200°C, showing a better thermal stability when compared to the state‐of‐the‐art relaxor‐PbTiO3 systems. A slight variation (<9%) of kp, kt, and k33 was observed in the temperature range of 25°C‐160°C for xPIN‐yPSN‐0.385PT (x = 0.19 and 0.23) ceramics. Rayleigh analysis was employed to quantify the contribution of domain wall motion to piezoelectric response, where the domain wall contribution was found to increase with composition approaching MPB for PIN‐PSN‐PT system.  相似文献

In the high‐temperature ternary perovskite piezoelectric system xPbTiO3yBiScO3zBi(Ni1/2,Ti1/2)O3 (PT–BS–BNiT), the addition of bismuth to the A site and nickel to the B site leads to compositions that exhibit diffuse relaxor‐like behavior. For these, depolarization temperature, not Curie point, is the critical value of temperature. Depolarization temperature (Td) is defined as the temperature at which the steepest loss in polarization occurs. This temperature is observed in poled materials through two different methods: loss tangent measurements and in situ d33. Across the ternary system, multiple dielectric anomalies occurred which was observed in dielectric tests where the dielectric peak broadens and becomes frequency dependent as BNiT content increased. For different compositions, the value of Td ranged between 275°C–375°C. Values for the piezoelectric coefficient increased with temperature up to d33 = 1000 pC/N during in situ d33. High temperature (up to 190°C) and high field (up to 40 kV/cm) were also applied to test ferroelectric properties in these regimes.  相似文献

(1?x)Bi1/2Na1/2TiO3xPbMg1/3Nb2/3O3[(1?x)BNT‐xPMN] ceramics have been fabricated via a conventional solid‐state method for compositions x ≤ 0.3. The microstructure, phase structure, ferroelectric, and dielectric properties of ceramics were systematically studied as high‐temperature capacitor materials. XRD pattern certified perovskite phase with no secondary phase in all compositions. As PMN concentration increased, the phase of (1?x)BNT‐xPMN ceramics transformed from ferroelectric to relaxor gradually at room temperature, with prominent enhancement of dielectric temperature stability. For the composition x = 0.2, the temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) was <15% in a wide temperature range from 56 to 350°C with high relative permittivity (>3300) and low dielectric loss (<0.02) at 150°C, which indicated promising future for (1?x)BNT‐xPMN system as high‐temperature stable capacitor materials.  相似文献

0.83 Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3-0.11Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.06Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PZNNT) samples with plate-like PbTiO3 (PT) template were prepared using tape casting technology. The microstructure evolution and reaction mechanism between the matrix and PT template was investigated systematically. The quench heat treatment experiment was designed and the microstructure was evaluated. The results showed that the plate-like PT template has relatively low thermal stability which would decompose to form Pb-rich liquid phase and Ti-rich region at the sintering temperature of 900 °C–1050 °C. Plate-like PT template reacted with the PZNNT matrix materials during the sintering process, which did not contribute to the grain growth orientation for PZNNT matrix. Finally, the mechanism of grain growth for the PZNNT ceramics with plate-like PT template is clarified. This work demonstrated that the thermal stability of plate-like template is one of the key factors for fabricating textured piezoelectric ceramics.  相似文献
