This paper explores the area of bad practices, namely anti-patterns, and their consequences in software project management (SPM). The paper surveys the multitude of anti-patterns that have been reported and documented up to now and stresses the need for tools to formally represent SPM anti-patterns, proposing specific formalisms for such purpose, namely Bayesian Belief Networks, Ontologies and Social Networks. It is also explained how the Web can provide an opportunity for capturing, storing, disseminating and ultimately avoiding SPM anti-patterns. As a consequence, anti-patterns may provide an excellent tool for educating active and future software managers. Finally, conclusions and future research trends are given.  相似文献

This paper shows how project audits can be used to uncover project strengths and weaknesses. Three audits are described and findings of the audit teams are summarized. Audits helped identify organizational problems, lacking management discipline, and software testing approaches useful to other projects. The issue of product sales versus disciplined project management was faced in all three audits. A Project Scheduling Problem consists in deciding who does what during the software project lifetime. This is a capital issue in the practice of software engineering, since the total budget and human resources involved must be managed optimally in order to end in a successful project. In short, companies are principally concerned with reducing the duration and cost of projects, and these two goals are in conflict with each other. In this work we tackle the problem by using genetic algorithms (GAs) to solve many different software project scenarios. Thanks to our newly developed instance generator we can perform structured studies on the influence the most important problem attributes have on the solutions. Our conclusions show that GAs are quite flexible and accurate for this application, and an important tool for automatic project management.  相似文献

The construction and maintenance of large, high-quality software projects is a complex, error-prone and difficult process. Tools employing software database metrics can play an important role in the efficient execution and management of such large projects. In this paper, we present a generic framework to address this problem. This framework incorporates database and knowledge-base tools, a formal set of software test and evaluation metrics, and a suite of advanced analytic techniques for extracting information and knowledge from available data. The proposed combination of critical metrics and analytic tools can enable highly efficient and cost-effective management of large and complex software projects. A study approaches to construction project management evaluation revealed inadequacies in for example, the lack of a systematic strategy that is based on clearly defined criteria, historical databanks and standardised techniques. Further study confirmed the need for a computer-based evaluation system that facilitates more realistic assessments, by using relevant criteria, appropriate indicators, suitable tools and a knowledge-based front-end that helps select and integrate the necessary modules from a comprehensive knowledge-bank. Project specific evaluation instruments derived from such a computer-based system are shown to be more efficient in the effective assessment of construction projects and their management.  相似文献

本科毕业环节是高等学校人才培养方案中最重要的实践教学环节之一,对提高人才培养质量意义十分重要.本文分析在高等教育大众化背景下毕业设计教学环节的现状;制定教学改革措施;将信息管理和计算机技术引入毕业环节教学工作中,基于Microsoft.Net平台,采用Visual Studio 2005为开发工具,开发了一套毕业环节教学管理系统.重点介绍该教学管理信息系统的设计思想、系统框架和主要功能.其开发和应用将增强毕业环节教学管理的信息化程度,教学水平显著提高,并可以向学院推广.  相似文献
