The application of the methods of laser and holographic interferometry to the problems of measuring evaporation rates is examined. In this work the microstructure of a commercial Al-Cu alloy (2 0 1 1) in several metallurgical states has been studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The metallurgical states were chosen in such a way that the alloy contained predominantly one of the four possible phases in these alloys (i.e. GP zones and, and phases). The commercial tempers T3 and T6 have also been considered. The interpretation of the DSC curves was aided by measuring the changes in Vickers hardness and conductivity during a linear heating similar to that provided by the DSC apparatus; these studies allow, for instance, a clearer distinction between the GP (Guinier-Preston) zone dissolution peak and the phase dissolution peak. The results are compared with those obtained by other authors.  相似文献

The stabilization of La2/3TiO3 in the perovskite structure by 4 mol% LaAlO3 resulted in maximum values for the relative permittivity (k72) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (f=123 ppm K-1). The Q-value quality factor of these ceramics were over 5300 measured at 4.5 GHz. Higher contents of LaAlO3 cause a decrease in both the permittivity and f values, accompanied by an increase in the Q-value. Typical values measured at 6.0 GHz for ceramics with the composition 70 mol% La2/3TiO3 – 30 mol% LaAlO3 are k>44, f=+7 ppm K-1 and Q>5500. The results depend on the processing parameters. The sintering temperature increases with increasing LaAlO3 content. An oxidizing sintering atmosphere improves the Q-value, whereas the permittivity and f are not significantly affected.  相似文献

Contrary to previous statements in the literature, large deviations from Matthiessen's rule in fine wiresare to be expected on the basis of a straight-forward solution of the ordinary transport equation, assuming the relaxation-time approximation and imposing the idealized condition of diffuse scattering of electrons at the boundaries. Using Chambers' path-integral method to evaluate the current density in a wire of arbitrary cross-sectional shape, the effects of boundary scattering on the resistivity in the regimed 0.1 have been calculated for two model Fermi surface geometries. For the temperature-dependent part of the resistivity, d (T) d (T)– d (0), two distinct types of behavior are found in the alternative cases: (1) for a spherical Fermi surface, d(T) increases logarithmically with d(0); (2) for a cylindrical Fermi surface, d (T) increases essentially linearly with d (0). [In each case the qualitative dependence of d(0) on /d is, for practical purposes, linear. However, the correct value of the product in the cylindrical case is not simply given in the ordinary way by the slope of an empirical plot of d (0) vs.d –1.] A comparison of theoretical results for the two simple models with the published data for indium and gallium shows that the actual temperature-dependent size effects are consistent, both qualitatively and, by a rough estimation, quantitatively, with the expected behavior.  相似文献

Conclusions It is possible by means of the above resonator, according to our analysis and in the absence of air gaps between the sample and the line, to evaluate the real components and of permeability and permittivity respectively in the range of 2 to 100 with an error between ±3% and ±10% in the temperature range from room temperature to +400°C, and the imaginary components and (for tan and tan in the range of 0.001 to 2) with an error of 7 to 20% over the same temperature range.  相似文献

The literature on the / silicon nitride transformation is reviewed briefly. Data are presented on the kinetics of the tranformation of 1600° C on low and high purity silicon nitride powders. The addition of magnesia increased the rate of transformation while the addition of yttria had no effect. Scanning electron photomicrographs show clearly the morphology changes that accompany the transformation. It is concluded that the transformation occurs via a solution-precipitation mechanism and that and are probably low and high temperature forms of silicon nitride.  相似文献

The paper describes the early and final uniaxial creep behaviour of a Titanium alloy used for manufacturing intermediate power compressor disks and blades. Tests were conducted at the operating temperature (773 K) for such components and for rupture lives up to 3600 hours. Creep curves were fitted using either the conventional 4 model or the recently developed 6 equation. Parameters allowing the interpolation of times to small strains were produced and their accuracy checked against experimental values using distributions found to be most supported by the data. At strains above 0.75% both methods yielded zero mean interpolation errors. At strains above 0.27% and below 0.75% the 4 equation produced systematic errors in interpolation but the 6 function gave errors which were not statistically different from zero. For strains below 0.27% both techniques produced systematic interpolation errors but the 6 interpolations were always significantly better than their 4 counterparts. Both the 6 and 4 techniques produced systematic errors when predicting the failure time using interpolated rupture strains. Unlike the 4 function, the 6 equation produced unbiased predictions of the minimum creep rate and so produced failure time interpolations from the Monkman–Grant relation that were indistinguishable from zero.  相似文献

An investigation was carried out to study the phase transitions in Cu-Ge thin films (80–200 nm in thickness) containing 0, 5, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 at% Ge, and the corresponding effects on electrical resistivity. For these films, the phase transitions were found to follow the sequence: -phase (disordered face centred cubic, fcc, solid solution); 5 at% Ge -phase (disordered hexagonal close packed, hcp); 15 at% Ge -phase + 1-phase (ordered orthorhombic, Cu3Ge); 20 at% Ge 1-phase; 25 at% Ge (1-phase + progressively increasing proportions of a disordered Ge-rich solid solution); 30–50 at% Ge. Germanium was found to have no marked effect on grain size of all films studied excluding grain boundaries as electron scattering centres. Transition of the -phase into the -phase was found to occur in a highly coherent manner, which could be related to the reduced stacking fault energy of Cu by the addition of Ge. Most evidence pointed out that the initial increase in resistivity within the -phase range was related to hcp scattering centres, which could be associated with a localized high concentration of Ge. At 15 at% Ge, the resistivity reached a maximum value of about 50 cm associated with the complete transformation of -phase into the -phase. With continued increase in Ge concentration, the resistivity was found to gradually decrease reaching a minimum value of about 10 at 25 at% Ge, which was correlated with complete transition of the -phase into the ordered 1-phase (Cu3Ge). It was shown that the superlattice of Cu3Ge could directly be derived from the disordered -phase by minor atom rearrangement on the [0 0 0 1]hcp plane. Even though, minor proportions of a Ge-rich solid solution containing a small concentration of Cu were formed at Ge concentrations above 25 at%, the minimum resistivity of 10 cm was maintained as the Ge concentration was increased to 35 at%. Solid-state phase transformation of BaB2O4 during the isothermal annealing process for both to and to were investigated using a platinum crucible. For the -phase crystal at the -phase stable temperature (> 925 °C), the phase transforms to the phase perfectly below the melting temperature of 1100 °C. Meanwhile, for the -phase crystal at the -phase stable temperature (< 925 °C), the phase transforms to the phase perfectly above 800 °C. There is some difference in phase transformation behaviour between bulk-shape crystals and the powder, caused by thermal stress.  相似文献

The specific heat under saturated vapor pressure of pure 4He and of six 3He-4He mixtures up to X = 0.545 was measured in the temperature range 3 × 10–6T-T ¦ <10–2 K. The critical exponents and along the path = are independent of X up to X = 0.545, where (= 34) is the difference between chemical potentials. If we take account of higher order terms, the exponent (= ) and the amplitude ratio A /A are independent of X up to X = 0.545. The values of and A /A are –0.023 and 1.090, respectively. The critical-tricritical crossover effect was observed for X = 0.545 and the boundary of crossover region closest to the critical region was at /T = (1–2) × 10–4, where is the distance ¦TT ¦ along the path = . This value is in good agreement with the estimated value by Riedel et al. But, remarkably, in the case of X = 0.439 this effect was not observed.  相似文献

Experimental magnetic field penetration depths (t, d, H) of the stable and superheated Meissner state were calculated as a function of temperature for various applied magnetic fields and various film thicknesses for two cases: (1) (t)/d and (2) 2(t)/d ( is the Ginzburg-Landau penetration depth,d is the film thickness, is the GL parameter). The 2 phase transformation in fractured high temperature stress rupture Ti-48Al-2Nb(at.%) alloy has been studied by analytical electron microscopy. 2 and phases were found at grain boundaries. 2 layers that suspended in layers and interfacial ledge higher than 2d (111) at /2 interfaces were observed in the lamellar grains. These facts indicated that 2 phase transformation and dynamic recrystallization have occurred during high temperature stress rupture deformation. It can be concluded that deformation induced 2 phase transformation and dynamic recrystallization resulted in the presence of particles at grain boundaries. A structural and compositional transition area between deformation-induced 2(or ) and its adjacently original (or 2) phases was found by HREM and EDS and is suggested as a way to transform between and 2 phase during high temperature stress rupture deformation. The transition area was formed by slide of partial dislocations on close-packed planes and diffusion of atoms.  相似文献

A comprehensive analytical theory of symmetric DC SQUIDs is presented taking into account the effects of thermal fluctuations. The SQUID has a reduced inductance < 1/ where = 2LIc/0, L is the loop inductance, 0 is the flux quantum, and Ic is the critical current of the identical Josephson junctions which are assumed to be overdamped. The analysis, based on the two dimensional Fokker–Planck equation, has been successfully performed in first order approximation with considered a small parameter. All important SQUID characteristics (circulating current, current-voltage curves, transfer function, and energy sensitivity) are obtained. In the limit 1( = 2kBT/Ic0 is the noise parameter, kB is the Boltzmann constant, and T is the absolute temperature) the theory reproduces the results of numerical simulations performed for the case of small thermal fluctuations. It was found that for < 1 the SQUID energy sensitivity is optimum when is higher than 1/, i.e., outside the range for which the present analysis is valid. However, for 1 the energy sensitivity has a minimum at L = LF , where LF = ( 0 /2) 2/kB , and therefore, in this case, the optimal reduced DC SQUID inductance is opt = 1/, i.e., within the range for which the present analysis is valid. In contrast to the case of an RF SQUID, for a DC SQUID the transfer function decreases not only with increasing L/LF but also with increasing (as 1/). As a consequence, the energy sensitivity of a DC SQUID with < 1/ degrades more rapidly (as 4 ) with the increase of than that of an RF SQUID does (as 2 ).  相似文献

We have measured ac susceptibility, nuclear magnetic resonance, and nuclear heat capacity of two PtFe x samples with concentrations of magnetic impurities x = 11 ppm and 41 ppm at magnetic fields (0 ± 0.05) mTB248 mT. The susceptibility data have been measured at temperatures of 0.3 KT100 mK, no hint for nuclear magnetic ordering could be detected to a temperature of 0.3 K. The nuclear heat capacity data taken at 1.4 KT10 mK show enhanced values which scale with x at low polarization. This effect is described by a model assuming an internal magnetic field caused by the impurities. No indication for nuclear magnetic ordering could be detected to 1.4 K. The nuclear magnetic resonance experiments have been performed on these samples at 0.8 KT0.5 mK and 2.5 mTB22.8 mT as well as on three other samples with x = 5, 10, 31 ppm in a different setup at 40 KT0.5 mK and at 5.4 mTB200 mT. Spin-lattice and effective spin-spin relaxation times 1and 2 * of 195 Pt strongly depend on x and on the external magnetic field. No temperature dependence of 1and 2 * could be detected and the NMR data, too, give no hint for nuclear magnetic ordering to 0.8 K.  相似文献

We present results of four series of experimental investigations of the bypass laminarturbulent transition (BLTT) initiated by actions of different nature (higher than usual degree of turbulence of the external flow, closed laminar separation at the leading edge, and their combination) on a flat surface in gradientfree flow. Our findings have supported the idea that strongly disturbed flows have a tendency toward the formation of an upper thermal bypass laminarturbulent transition whose heattransfer coefficient changes monotonically because of the formation of a pseudolaminar boundary layer before it. The influence of the scale of turbulence on the position of a bypass laminarturbulent transition and the intensification of the transfer processes in the boundary layers formed before and after the bypass laminarturbulent transition has been evaluated. We have developed a complex method for diagnostics of a bypass laminarturbulent transition, which allows one to establish the fact of formation of the bypass laminarturbulent transition and determine its starting and end points.  相似文献

A general discussion, which is valid for any angular dependence of sputtering yieldS=S(), concerning the interdependence between the incidence angles e and 0, associated with quasi-stable intersections during ion erosion, is given. The object was firstly to establish the location of e roots as a function of 0 and secondly to identify the stationary points and general trend for the complex dependence e= e( 0). The results obtained are applied to a quasi-stability analysis of some specific surface features during ion erosion. Various possible types of quasi-stable intersections (surface-surface, plane-surface, plane-plane) are reviewed from the point of view of their evolution caused by ion bombardment.  相似文献
