Reduction of the slice-select refocusing gradient in two-dimensional multislice imaging results in asymmetry of the k-space representation of collected data along the slice-select direction. Standard methods of partial Fourier reconstruction developed for other methods of asymmetric k-space sampling can be used to reconstruct these data with final through-plane resolution smaller than the collected slice thickness. This method can be used for reducing scan time in the same manner as asymmetric sampling in the phase-encoded direction. In addition, the reduced refocusing gradient reduces minimum TE and motion artifacts in the same manner as for asymmetric sampling in the frequency-encoded direction (fractional echoes). Results using a resolution phantom and a flow phantom illustrate these concepts. 相似文献

Since the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial demonstrated the substantial benefits of tight glycaemic control there has been renewed interest in the application of information technology (IT) based techniques for improving the day-to-day care of patients with diabetes mellitus. Computer-based educational approaches have a great deal of potential for patients use, and may offer a means of training more health-care professionals to deliver such improved care. In this article the potential role of IT in diabetes education is reviewed, focusing in particular on the application of compartmental models in both computer-based interactive simulators and educational video games. Close attention is devoted to practical applications-available today-for use by patients, their relatives, students and health-care professionals. The novel features and potential benefits of such methodologies are highlighted and some of the limitations of currently available software are discussed. The need for improved graphical user interfaces, and for further efforts to evaluate such programs and demonstrate an educational benefit from their use are identified as hurdles to their more widespread application. The review concludes with a look to the future and the type of modelling features which should be provided in the next generation of interactive diabetes simulators and educational video games. 相似文献

A new catalytic
spectrophotometric method for the determination of ruthenium was established basing on the
catalytic action of Ru(Ⅲ) on the oxidative fading between chlorophosphonazo(Ⅲ) and KIO4
in the acid medium in the water bath. The method offers the advantages of simplicity,
rapidity, and sensitivity. Beer′s law is obeyed in the range of 0.02~0.20 μg/10 ml.

Films of MO5Ru3 and WgRu2 prepared by sputtering on hot sapphire substrates exhibit interesting properties. The films are among the hardest known electrical
conductors and show Khoop hardness values comparable to sapphire. They exhibit high resistance to most common etchants (particularly
acid etchants), have high scratch resistance, and have excellent adhesion to the (sapphire) substrates. The temperature coefficient
of electrical resistivity can be made either negative, positive, or zero by varying the substrate deposition temperature.
