复杂曲面笔式加工时的工具轨迹是位于曲面上的自由曲线轨迹.针对此类形式的轨迹,给出一种复杂曲面笔式加工时的自由曲线型刀轨的直接插补算法,即对位于曲面上以投影方式形成的任意自由曲线形式的刀轨进行插补计算,生成控制机床运动的指令.该方法的实现扩充了CNC系统的轨迹控制功能,提高了复杂曲面的加工效率.仿真和试切的结果证明算法可行而且有效.该算法也可以应用到整体曲面加工中. 相似文献

NURBS surfaces are commonly used in CAD/CAM software systems to represent the complex shapes of mechanical parts. Well-planned tool paths for machining the surfaces can significantly increase cutting efficiency and improve part quality. The steepest ascent tool-path pattern has been proposed for making sculptured surfaces in a 3-axis finish milling operation, and it has been proven that a steepest ascent tool-path is inherently more efficient in removing material to make these surfaces within tolerances than a tool path of any other type. However, the mathematical representation of steepest ascent paths on NURBS surfaces has not been addressed. In our work, simplified formulae of these paths are derived, and a comprehensive, efficient algorithm to plan steepest ascent tool-paths on compound NURBS surfaces is developed. To verify its validity and efficiency, this innovative approach is applied to a complicated compound surface. Furthermore, a comparison between the steepest ascent and CATIA tool-paths on two NURBS surfaces is conducted to demonstrate the advantages of the steepest ascent tool-paths for NURBS surface part production. 相似文献

Trajectory in high-speed precision machining requires very small feed-rate fluctuation and contour error, which can be achieved with parametric interpolation. Since it is impossible to exactly compute the arc-length of a general parametric curve, the conventional parametric interpolation obtains a parameter through a real-time update. Thus it cannot be used with a preplanned feed-rate profile, which restricts its applications. To overcome such a problem, the proposed algorithm estimate parameters using tabulated parameter and length data. The simulations show the proposed method useful with smaller contour error and acceptable feed-rate fluctuation comparable to the second order real-time parametric interpolation. 相似文献

针对现有轨迹生成方法难以满足高速加工的要求的问题,提出一种等残余高度螺旋轨迹直接生成方法.首先根据首末2条边界曲线的不同连接方式进行分类,对存在的3种连接方式分别设计了不同的初始螺旋轨迹生成方式;然后采用等残余轨迹生成方法偏置初始螺旋轨迹.这种直接生成的螺旋轨迹与传统通过求环形轨迹间的对角曲线生成的螺旋轨迹相比,可更好地保证加工表面的质量,同时也有效地增大了单条路径长度,具有较少的路径转接点.实例分析表明,文中方法能够满足高速加工的要求. 相似文献

The digital models are the fundamental elements used in the virtual simulation of CNC machining for process planning, result prediction, analysis, etc. The essential work to build the digital models of machined parts is the calculation of the envelope surface generated by moving a cutter surface relative to workpieces. This calculation is usually complicated, and the requirements in different cases are also varied. Hence, it is very beneficial to develop an effective approach for different requirements. In this work, a comprehensive envelope approach is established, and it adaptively choose 1) the elimination parameter among two cutter surface parameters, 2) the representation form of envelope surface, and 3) the discretization way, so it is robust to satisfy different requirements. The elimination parameter and representation form are adaptively chosen to improve the calculation efficiency by obtaining the closed-form representation of the envelope surface prior to the implicit one. The discretization way is further adaptively chosen to obtain approximately even point distribution to the applications of 3D and FEA modeling. Finally, comprehensive algorithms are proposed to effectively implement this adaptive envelope approach for different applications. The examples are given to the manufacturing of spiral bevel gears and five-axis CNC milling. 相似文献

This paper presents a machining potential field (MPF) method to generate tool paths for multi-axis sculptured surface machining. A machining potential field is constructed by considering both the part geometry and the cutter geometry to represent the machining-oriented information on the part surface for machining planning. The largest feasible machining strip width and the optimal cutting direction at a surface point can be found on the constructed machining potential field. The tool paths can be generated by following the optimal cutting direction. Compared to the traditional iso-parametric and iso-planar path generation methods, the generated MPF multi-axis tool paths can achieve better surface finish with shorter machining time. Feasible cutter sizes and cutter orientations can also be determined by using the MPF method. The developed techniques can be used to automate the multi-axis tool path generation and to improve the machining efficiency of sculptured surface machining. 相似文献
