A sensitive and simple method for simultaneous preconcentration of trace heavy metal ions in some food samples has been reported. The method is based on the adsorption of Cr(3+), Fe(3+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+) and Zn(2+) on bis(2-hydroxy acetophenone)ethylendiimine (BHAPED) loaded on activated carbon (AC). The adsorbed metals on activated carbon were eluted using 2 mol L(-1) nitric acid in acetone. The influences of the analytical parameters including pH and sample volume were investigated. The effects of matrix ions on the recoveries of analyte ions were also investigated. The recoveries of analytes were generally higher than 94%. The method has been successfully applied for analysis of the metal contents in real samples including natural water samples.  相似文献

A sensitive and simple method for the simultaneous preconcentration of Cr3+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Zn2+ in real samples has been reported. The method is based on the adsorption of analytes on bis salicyl aldehyde, 1,3 propan diimine (BSPDI) loaded on activated carbon. The adsorbed metals on modified activated carbon were eluted using 8 mL of 2 mol L(-1) nitric acid in acetone or 10 mL of 4 mol L(-1) HNO3. The influences of the analytical parameters including pH and sample volume were investigated. The effects of matrix ions on the retentions of the analytes were also examined. The recoveries of analytes were generally quantitative. The method has been successfully applied for these metals content evaluation in some food samples.  相似文献

Separation/preconcentration of copper and cadmium using TiO(2) core-Au shell nanoparticles modified with 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid and their slurry analysis by flame atomic absorption spectrometry were described. For this purpose, at first, titanium dioxide nanoparticles were coated with gold shell by reducing the chloroauric acid with sodium borohydride and then modified with 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid. The characterization of modified nanoparticles was performed using ultra-violet spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. Copper and cadmium were then collected on the prepared sorbent by batch method. The solid phase loaded with the analytes was separated by centrifugation and the supernatant was removed. Finally, the precipitate was slurried and directly aspirated into the flame for the determination of analytes. Thus, elution step and its all drawbacks were eliminated. The effects of pH, amount of sorbent, slurry volume, sample volume and diverse ions on the recovery were investigated. After optimization of experimental parameters, the analytes in different certified reference materials and spiked water samples were quantitatively recovered with 5% RSD. The analytes were enriched up to 20-fold. Limits of detection (N=10, 3σ) for copper and cadmium were 0.28 and 0.15 ng mL(-1), respectively.  相似文献

Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis loaded on Dowex optipore V-493 as new adsorbent for the separation-preconcentration of heavy metal ions has been proposed. The analytical conditions for the quantitative recoveries of copper(II), iron(III) and zinc(II) including pH, amounts of adsorbent, sample volume, etc. were investigated. The influences of alkaline and earth alkaline ions were also reported. The recovery values for the analytes are generally higher than 95%. The preconcentration factor was 37. The limit of detections of the analyte ions (k=3, N=21) were 1.14 microgL(-1) for copper, 2.01 microgL(-1) for iron and 0.14 microgL(-1) for zinc. The relative standard deviations of the determinations were found to be lower than 9%. The procedure was validated by analyzing copper, iron and zinc contents in two certified reference materials, NRCC-SLRS-4 Riverine water and NIST SRM 1515 Apple leaves. Agreements between the obtained results and the certified values were achieved. The developed preconcentration method was applied in the flame atomic absorption spectrometric determination of copper, iron and zinc in several samples including a multivitamin-multimineral tablet, dialysis solutions, natural waters and some food samples.  相似文献

A new method using a column packed with Amberlite XAD-2010 resin as a solid-phase extractant has been developed for the multi-element preconcentration of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) ions based on their complex formation with the sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (Na-DDTC) prior to flame atomic absorption spectrometric (FAAS) determinations. Metal complexes sorbed on the resin were eluted by 1 mol L(-1) HNO3 in acetone. Effects of the analytical conditions over the preconcentration yields of the metal ions, such as pH, quantity of Na-DDTC, eluent type, sample volume and flow rate, foreign ions etc. have been investigated. The limits of detection (LOD) of the analytes were found in the range 0.08-0.26 microg L(-1). The method was validated by analyzing three certified reference materials. The method has been applied for the determination of trace elements in some environmental samples.  相似文献

A solid-phase extraction system was proposed for the determination of aluminum after preconcentration with glycerol-bonded silica gel. The method is rapid and efficient for the enrichment of aluminum ions at trace levels. Optimal sorption conditions were found for sorption and desorption of aluminum ions. The effects of diverse ions on the sorption and recovery of aluminum have been studied and it was shown that the selectivity of the sorption process was very good. A very satisfactory preconcentration factor of 500 was achieved by this method. The lowest concentration of aluminum ions for quantitative recovery was 2ngml(-1). The capacity of sorbent was 400microg per gram of sorbent. The method showed good reproducibility (R.S.D.=2.2% for n=7) and was applied to the determination of aluminum in mineral water, hair and green tea samples.  相似文献

A solid phase extraction (SPE) preconcentration system, coupled to a flame atomic absorption spectrometer (FAAS), was developed for the determination of copper(II), cadmium(II), lead(II), manganese(II), iron(III), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) ions at the microg L(-1) levels on Penicillium italicum-loaded on Sepabeads SP 70. The analytes were adsorbed on biosorbent at the pH range of 8.5-9.5. The adsorbed metals were eluted with 1 mol L(-1) HCl. The influences of the various analytical parameters including pH of the aqueous solutions, sample volume, flow rates were investigated for the retentions of the analyte ions. The recovery values are ranged from 95-102%. The influences of alkaline, earth alkaline and some transition metal ions were also discussed. Under the optimized conditions, the detection limits (3s, n=21) for analytes were in the range of 0.41microg L(-1) (cadmium) and 1.60microg L(-1) (iron). The standard reference materials (IAEA 336 Lichen, NIST SRM 1573a Tomato leaves) were analyzed to verify the proposed method. The method was successfully applied for the determinations of analytes in natural water, cultivated mushroom, lichen (Bryum capilare Hedw), moss (Homalothecium sericeum) and refined table salt samples.  相似文献

A new tris(2-aminoethyl) amine (TREN) functionalized silica gel (SG-TREN) was prepared and investigated for selective solid-phase extraction (SPE) of trace Cr(III), Cd(II) and Pb(II) prior to its determination by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). Identification of the surface modification was characterized and performed on the basis of FT-IR. The separation/preconcentration conditions of analytes were investigated, including effects of pH, the shaking time, the sample flow rate and volume, the elution condition and the interfering ions. At pH 4, the maximum adsorption capacity of Cr(III), Cd(II) and Pb(II) onto the SG-TREN were 32.72, 36.42 and 64.61 mg g(-1), respectively. The adsorbed metal ions were quantitatively eluted by 5 mL of 0.1 mol L(-1) HCl. Common coexisting ions did not interfere with the separation. According to the definition of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, the detection limits (3sigma) of this method for Cr(III), Cd(II) and Pb(II) were 0.61, 0.14 and 0.55 ng mL(-1), respectively. The relative standard deviation under optimum conditions is less than 4.0% (n=11). The application of this modified silica gel to preconcentration trace Cr(III), Cd(II) and Pb(II) of two water samples gave high accurate and precise results.  相似文献

This paper describes a simple and accurate procedure for preconcentration of trace amounts of Fe(III), Pb(II) and Cr(III) ions. The preconcentration procedure is based on retention of p-xylenol blue chelates on Amberlite XAD-7. The analytes retained were eluted from Amberlite XAD-7 by using 1 mol L(-1) HCl. The influences of the analytical parameters including amounts of reagents, pH and type of eluent were also investigated. The detection limits of Fe, Pb and Cr were found to be 3.07, 18.6 and 3.27 microg L(-1), respectively. The accuracy of the procedure was checked by the analysis of an electrolytic copper wire sample. The relative error was less than 5%. The presented method was applied to the determination of Fe(III), Pb(II) and Cr(III) in water samples from Denizli, Turkey with good results such as recoveries more than 95%, relative standard deviations below 10%.  相似文献

A capillary electrophoretic (CE) method for the simultaneous determination of nitrate, nitrite, and ammonium ions has been developed. Direct (NO3-, NO2-) and indirect (NH4+) UV detection at 214 nm in conjunction with electromigration sampling from both ends of the capillary was used. The optimized separations were carried out in 10 mmol/L imidazole sulfate, 2 mmol/L 18-crown-6, and 0.02 mmol/L tetradecyltrimethylammonium hydroxide electrolyte (pH 4.0). The method permits excellent separation of three nitrogen species in only 4 min. A 1 x 10(-4) mol/L KBr solution was used as an internal standard to limit possible electrokinetic injection biases. Experimental results showed that the use of an anionic internal standard for cationic analytes and vice versa gives only slightly better precision than analysis with no internal standard. Using Br- internal standard for NO3- and NO2- ions and K+ for NH4+, peak area RSD values decrease significantly. The proposed system was applied to the speciation of inorganic nitrogen ions in rainwater samples. The recovery tests established for external calibration and standard addition techniques using one or two internal standards were within the range 100 +/- 10%. The CE results agree with those obtained by spectrophotometric methods.  相似文献

A new ion-imprinted thiol-functionalized silica gel sorbent was synthesized by a surface imprinting technique in combination with a sol-gel process for selective on-line, solid-phase extraction of Cd(II). The Cd(II)-imprinted thiol-functionalized silica sorbent was characterized by FT-IR, the static adsorption-desorption experiment, and the dynamic adsorption-desorption method. The maximum static adsorption capacity of the ion-imprinted functionalized sorbent was 284 micromol g(-1). The largest selectivity coefficient for Cd(II) in the presence of Pb(II) was over 220. The static uptake capacity and selectivity coefficient of the ion-imprinted functionalized sorbent are higher than those of the nonimprinted sorbent. The breakthrough capacity and dynamic capacity of the imprinted functionalized silica gel sorbent for 4 mg L(-1) of Cd(II) at 5.2 mL min(-1) of sample flow rate were 11.7 and 64.3 micromol g(-1), respectively. No remarkable effect of sample flow rate on the dynamic capacity was observed as the sample flow rate increased from 1.7 to 6.8 mL min(-1). The imprinted functionalized silica gel sorbent offered a fast kinetics for the adsorption and desorption of Cd(II). The prepared ion-imprinted functionalized sorbent was shown to be promising for on-line, solid-phase extraction coupled with flame atomic absorption spectrometry for the determination of trace cadmium in environmental and biological samples. All competitive ions studied did not interfere with the determination of Cd(II). With a sample loading flow rate of 8.8 mL min(-1) for 45-s preconcentration, an enhancement factor of 56, and a detection limit (3sigma) of 0.07 microg L(-1) were achieved at a sampling frequency of 55 h(-1). The precision (RSD) for 11 replicate on-line sorbent extractions of 8 mug L(-1) Cd(II) was 0.9%. The sorbent also offered good linearity (r = 0.9997) for on-line, solid-phase extraction of trace Cd(II).  相似文献

In this work, the immobilization of 4-aminoantipyrine onto bentonite was carried out and it was then used to investigate the adsorption behavior of Cr(III), Hg(II) and Pb(II) ions from aqueous solutions. The separation and preconcentration conditions of analytes were investigated, including effects of pH, the shaking time, the sample flow rate and volume, the elution condition and the interfering ions. Under optimum pH value (pH 4.0), the maximum static adsorption capacity of the sorbent was found to be 38.8, 52.9 and 55.5 mg g(-1) for Cr(III), Hg(II) and Pb(II), respectively. 2.0 mL of 2% thiourea in 1.0 M HCl solution effectively eluted the adsorbed metal ions. The detection limit (3σ) of this method defined by IUPAC was found to be 0.12, 0.09 and 0.23 ng mL(-1) for Cr(III), Hg(II) and Pb(II), respectively. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was lower 3.0% (n=8). The developed method has been validated by analyzing certified reference materials and successfully applied to the determination of trace Cr(III), Hg(II) and Pb(II) in water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Adsorption features of UO(2)(2+) and Th(4+) ions from simulated radioactive solutions onto a novel chitosan/clinoptilolite (CS/CPL) composite as beads have been investigated compared with chitosan cross-linked with epichlorohydrin. The effects of contact time, the initial metal ion concentration, sorbent mass and temperature on the adsorption capacity of the CS-based sorbents were investigated. The adsorption kinetics was well described by the pseudo-second order equation, and the adsorption isotherms were better fitted by the Sips model. The maximum experimental adsorption capacities were 328.32 mg Th(4+)/g composite, and 408.62 mg UO(2)(2+)/g composite. The overall adsorption tendency of CS/CPL composite toward UO(2)(2+) and Th(4+) radiocations in the presence of Cu(2+), Fe(2+) and Al(3+), under competitive conditions, followed the order: Cu(2+)>UO(2)(2+)>Fe(2+)>Al(3+), and Cu(2+)>Th(4+)>Fe(2+)>Al(3+), respectively. The negative values of Gibbs free energy of adsorption indicated the spontaneity of the adsorption of radioactive ions on both the CS/CPL composite and the cross-linked CS. The desorption level of UO(2)(2+) from the composite CS/CPL, by using 0.1M Na(2)CO(3), was around 92%, and that of Th(4+) ions, performed by 0.1M HCl, was around 85%, both values being higher than the desorption level of radiocations from the cross-linked CS, which were 89% and 83%, respectively.  相似文献

This study presents a column solid phase extraction procedure based on column biosorption of Cu(II), Zn(II) and Pb(II) ions on Penicillium digitatum immobilized on pumice stone. The analytes were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The optimum conditions such as: pH values, amount of solid phase, elution solution and flow rate of sample solution were evaluated for the quantitative recovery of the analytes. The effect of interfering ions on the recovery of the analytes has also been investigated. The recoveries of copper, zinc and lead under the optimum conditions were found to be 97+/-2, 98+/-2 and 98+/-2%, respectively, at 95% confidence level. For the analytes, 50-fold preconcentration was obtained. The analytical detection limits for Cu(II), Zn(II) and Pb(II) were 1.8, 1.3 and 5.8 ng mL(-1), respectively. The proposed procedure was applied for the determination of copper, zinc and lead in dam water, waste water, spring water, parsley and carrot. The accuracy of the procedure was checked by determining copper, zinc and lead in standard reference tea samples (GBW-07605).  相似文献

A simple, rapid and reliable method has been developed to selectively separate and concentrate ultra trace amounts of mercury(II) ions from aqueous samples for its highly sensitive measurement by cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (CV-AAS). The Hg(2+) ions were adsorbed selectively and quantitatively during the passage of aqueous samples through octadecyl silica membrane disks modified by isopropyl 2-[(isopropoxycarbothiolyl)disulfanyl]ethane thioate (IIDE). The retained Hg(2+) ions were then stripped from the disk with minimal amounts of 0.5 M hydrobromic acid (two 8 ml portions) as eluent, and determined by CV-AAS. The break-through volume of the method is greater than 3000 ml, which results in enrichment factors >150. Maximum capacity of the membrane disks modified with 10mg of the ligand was found to be 350+/-30 microg of mercury(II), and the limit of detection is 0.005 ng ml(-1). The effect of various cationic interferences on the recovery of mercury in binary mixtures was studied. The method was applied to the recovery of Hg(2+) ions from different synthetic and tap water samples, as well as the determination of mercury in human hair samples.  相似文献

An on-line flow system was used to develop a selective and efficient on-line sorbent extraction preconcentration system for cadmium. The method is based on adsorption of cadmium ions onto the activated carbon modified with methyl thymol blue. Then the adsorbed ions were washed using 0.5M HNO(3) and the eluent was used to determine the Cd(II) ions using flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The results obtained show that the modified activated carbon has the greatest adsorption capacity of 80 microg of Cd(II) per 1.0 g of the solid phase. The optimal pH value for the quantitative preconcentration was 9.0 and full desorption is achieved by using 0.5M HNO(3) solution. It is established that the solid phase can be used repeatedly without a considerable adsorption capacity loss. The detection limit was less than 1 ngmL(-1) Cd(II), with an enrichment factor of 1000. The calibration graph was linear in the range of 1-2000 ngmL(-1) Cd(II). The developed method has been applied to the determination of trace cadmium (II) in water samples and in the following reference materials: sewage sludge (CRM144R), and sea water (CASS.4) with satisfactory results. The accuracy was assessed through recovery experiments.  相似文献

A new sorbent 1-acylthiosemicarbazide-modified activated carbon (AC-ATSC) was prepared as a solid-phase extractant and applied for removing of trace Cu(II), Hg(II) and Pb(II) prior to their determination by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The separation/preconcentration conditions of analytes were investigated, including effects of pH, the shaking time, the sample flow rate and volume, the elution condition and the interfering ions. At pH 3, the maximum static adsorption capacity of Cu(II), Hg(II) and Pb(II) onto the AC-ATSC were 78.20, 67.80 and 48.56 mg g−1, respectively. The adsorbed metal ions were quantitatively eluted by 3.0 mL of 2% CS(NH2)2 and 2.0 mol L−1 HCl solution. Common coexisting ions did not interfere with the separation. According to the definition of IUPAC, the detection limits (3σ) of this method for Cu(II), Hg(II) and Pb(II) were 0.20, 0.12 and 0.45 ng mL−1, respectively. The relative standard deviation under optimum conditions is less than 4.0% (n = 8). The prepared sorbent was applied for the preconcentration of trace Cu(II), Hg(II) and Pb(II) in certified and water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A separation/preconcentration procedure using solid phase extraction has been proposed for the flame atomic absorption spectrometric determination of copper and nickel at trace level in food samples. The solid phase is Dowex Optipore SD-2 resin contained on a minicolumn, where analyte ions are sorbed as 5-methyl-4-(2-thiazolylazo) resorcinol chelates. After elution using 1 mol L(-1) nitric acid solution, the analytes are determinate employing flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The optimization step was performed using a full two-level factorial design and the variables studied were: pH, reagent concentration (RC) and amount of resin on the column (AR). Under the experimental conditions established in the optimization step, the procedure allows the determination of copper and nickel with limit of detection of 1.03 and 1.90 microg L(-1), respectively and precision of 7 and 8%, for concentrations of copper and nickel of 200 microg L(-1). The effect of matrix ions was also evaluated. The accuracy was confirmed by analyzing of the followings certified reference materials: NIST SRM 1515 Apple leaves and GBW 07603 Aquatic and Terrestrial Biological Products. The developed method was successfully applied for the determination of copper and nickel in real samples including human hair, chicken meat, black tea and canned fish.
