Thermoelectric energy conversion can be used to capture electric power from waste heat in a variety of applications. The materials that have been shown to have the best thermoelectric properties are compounds containing elements such as tellurium and antimony. These compounds can be oxidized if exposed to the high temperature air that may be present in heat recovery applications. Oxide materials have better stability in oxidizing environments, so their use enables the fabrication of more durable devices. Thus, although the thermoelectric properties of oxides are inferior to those of the compounds mentioned above, their superior stability may expand potential the high temperature application of thermoelectric energy conversion.In this paper, the thermoelectric properties of promising oxide materials are reviewed. The different types of oxides used for thermoelectric applications are compared and approaches for improving performance through doping are discussed. 相似文献

Calcium hexaboride (CaB6) polycrystalline was prepared from its nano-scale powders using vacuum hot-pressing method under 1750 °C, 32 MPa for 5 min. SEM, FESEM and AFM were employed to observe morphology and compared with its bulk material sintered under 1550 °C. Observations showed the structure of the nano-scale CaB6 bulk has the regions with high and low compactness degree due to CaB6 nanometer powder aggregations. The hardness, bending strength and fractural toughness were 79.7 HRA, 198.7 MPa and 3.73 MPa m1/2, respectively, better than those of CaB6 micron-polycrystalline sintered under the same sintering parameters. DSC and TG were tested to investigate high temperature stability. Only one exothermic peak (1117.2 °C) appeared in nano-polycrystalline which began at 1080 °C and area was ?167.7 J/g, showing its stability is much better than CaB6 nano-micron composite polycrystalline and micron-polycrystalline. 相似文献

A new static mixer Cross-over-Disc has been invented to strip off the boundary layer and to make strong radial mixing. The
pressure drop of Cross-over-Disc is 12-26 times as large as that of empty pipe with equivalent diameter and length. The mixing
performance of Cross-over-Disc with 14 elements has been investigated in the viscosity range of 190–250 Pa·s by decoloration
method, and the gray analysis of images shows that mixing inhomogeneity is about 7.5% and 9.4% for the mixing ratio of 5:1
and 10:1, respectively. Furthermore, mixing inhomogeneity for a combination of static mixing elements (four from Cross-over-Disc
and three pairs from Sulzer-type) can be decreased to 2.1%–3.1% within a reasonable range of pressure drop. 相似文献

为实现有机硅多孔材料的软性粘接,以α,ω-二羟基聚二甲基硅氧烷(聚硅氧烷)和CTBN(端羧基液体丁腈橡胶)对双酚A型E-44环氧树脂进行化学改性,制备了一种新型的多孔材料用耐高温软质胶粘剂。研究结果表明:当m(聚硅氧烷)∶m(E-44)=1∶8且m(CTBN)∶m(聚硅氧烷改性环氧树脂)=1∶4时,胶粘剂剪切强度可达40.8 MPa,拉伸强度可达0.29 MPa,Td5%高达240℃,耐腐蚀性良好。在保证粘接强度的同时,该胶粘剂可使粘接处达到与基体相似的韧性与硬度,提高了长期使用性。 相似文献

基于聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)微孔膜滤料扫描电镜(SEM)图像,建立PTFE微孔膜滤料微观结构模型,采用计算流体力学和离散单元法(CFD?DEM)耦合的方法对黏性颗粒在微孔膜滤料表面沉积特性进行模拟,引入液桥力模型,忽略范德华力的作用,统计计算域内颗粒的受力情况,分析了不同表面能条件下3~6 ?m粒径颗粒在微孔膜滤料表面的沉积特性,将模拟结果与黏附效率的经验公式进行对比。结果表明,黏附效率与经验值、颗粒受力与液桥力模型的相对误差均在6%以内,CFD?DEM耦合计算方法可用于模拟不同环境湿度条件下的颗粒沉积;过滤风速、粒径与黏性是影响沉积形态的重要因素,提高过滤风速及增大颗粒粒径与黏性,颗粒更易在滤料表面形成稳定的树突结构,黏附效率及含尘压降增加。环境相对湿度影响两物体间液桥体积,接触力影响颗粒沉积,当增加表面能与液桥体积时,接触力及液桥力均相应增加,根据受力平衡原理,环境相对湿度对颗粒沉积影响很大。 相似文献
