A duplex treatment of plasma Zr-alloying and plasma nitriding was used to improve the tribological properties of Ti-6Al-4V. The microstructure of the Zr-N composite(alloyed) layer formed on Ti-6Al-4V and its hardness, friction and wear properties were investigated by using OM, SEM, GDOES, EDS, microhardness tester as well as ball-on-disk tribometer. The results of microstructural analysis show that the alloyed layer is compact and uniform and is mainly composed of ZrN, TiN_(0.3) and AlN. A very tiny adhesive and slight oxidation wear is the primary wear mechanism for the modified Ti-6Al-4V. The tribological property is improved significantly after the duplex treatment. The good combination of antifriction and wear resistance for modified Ti-6Al-4V is mainly attributed to the higher surface hardness of metal nitrides formed on the surface and enhanced supporting of the Zr-diffusing layer.  相似文献

采用组织观察、性能检测、断口分析等方法研究了脉冲电流对Ti-6Al-4V合金显微组织及力学性能的影响。结果表明,脉冲电流使试样瞬间急速升温、产生较高的热压应力,并发生α→β相变,随后试样快速降温冷却发生β→α′相变。由于急速升温和快速冷却,新相的形核率增加且无充足时间长大,使合金的显微组织细化,而相变和组织细化导致了合金力学性能提高和电阻率变化。适当优化电脉冲处理工艺参数可使Ti-6Al-4V合金的综合力学性能明显提高。通过测量电阻变化可间接表征电脉冲处理后材料微观组织结构的变化程度。  相似文献

High speed milling experiments using nitrogen-oil-mist as the cutting medium were carried out to investigate the characteristics of chip formation for Ti-6Al-4V alloy.Within the range of conditions employed(cutting speed,vc=190-300 m/min;cutting depth of axial,ap=5,7 mm),saw-tooth chips were produced in these experiments.During the macro and micro analysis of the Ti-6Al-4V chips,an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope(SEM)were used to study the microstructure and the morphology of the chips,and the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)was employed for chemical analysis.Comparisons were made to study the influence of different cutting media(nitrogen-oil-mist,air-oil-mist and dry cutting condition)on chip formation.Results indicate that cutting media have significant effects on chip formation.Nitrogen-oil-mist is more suitable for improving the contact condition at chip-tool interface and increasing the tool life in high speed milling of Ti-6Al-4V alloy than air-oil-mist and dry cutting.  相似文献

Al-Si/15%SiCp(volume fraction) composites with different silicon contents were fabricated by spray deposition technique, and typical microstructures of these composites were studied by optical microscopy(OM). Dry sliding wear tests were carried out using a block-on-ring wear machine to investigate the effect of applied load range of 10-220 N on the wear and friction behavior of these composites sliding against SAE 52100 grade bearing steel. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray microanalysis(EDAX) were utilized to examine the morphologies of the worn surfaces in order to observe the wear characteristics and investigate the wear mechanism. The results show that the wear behavior of these composites is dependent on the silicon content in the matrix alloy and the applied load. Al-Si/15%SiCp composites with higher silicon content exhibit better wear resistance in the applied load range. Under lower loads, the major wear mechanisms are oxidation wear and abrasive wear for all tested composites. Under higher loads, severe adhesive wear becomes the main wear mechanisms for Al-7Si/15%SiCp and Al-13Si/15%SiCp composites, while Al-20Si/15%SiCp presents a compound wear mechanism, consisting of oxidation, abrasive wear and adhesion wear.  相似文献

The effect of plasma and brine lubricants on the friction and wear behavior of UHMWPE were studied by using the geometry of a Si3N4 ball sliding on a UHMWPE disc under patterns of uni-directional reciprocation and bi-directional sliding motions. The worn surface and wear particles produced in these two lubricants were analyzed. Sliding motion pattern affected the friction coefficients lubricated with plasma, while seldom affected that lubricated with brine. UHMWPE lubricated with plasma showed about half of the wear rate of that lubricated with brine. The two rates were 0.75 pg/m and 2.19 pg/m for the two motion patterns, respectively. However, wear particles generated in plasma included a greater amount of small particles, compared to that in brine. In uni-directional reciprocation, the main wear mechanism is ploughing both in plasma and in brine. In bi-directional sliding modes, the significant characteristic is ripples on the worn surface in plasma, while there are oriented fibers on the worn surface in brine.  相似文献

在WTM-1E微型摩擦磨损试验仪上对3种牙修复材料做摩擦磨损实验,并利用扫描电子显微镜对摩擦后材料的表面形貌观察,发现钛、钛合金的摩擦系数大小及变化趋势基本一致,两者的摩擦学特性相似;银汞合金的摩擦系数明显低于其他金属材料;与Si3N4陶瓷球对磨时钛的磨损机制为粘着磨损,钛合金为粘着磨损与磨粒磨损并存,而银汞合金为磨粒磨损。结论:银汞合金不适宜作为牙修复材料使用,而钛和钛合金都具有良好的耐磨性,是较为理想的牙修复材料。  相似文献

The wear process of PTFE coatings sliding against GCrlS-bearing steel ball under vacuum conditions was investigated, and the hardness of the PTFE coatings on both sides of wear track was measured. The experimental results showed that the friction coefficient of the PTFE coatings increases with the increase of sliding distance under different sliding velocities. And the friction coefficient of the PTFE coatings increases with the increase of sliding distance under different sliding loads. The wear rate of PTFE coatings decreases with the increase of sliding distance. And the majority of the wear produced during the whole wear process of PTFE coatings sliding against GCr-15 steel ball comes from the early period of friction. The hardness of PTFE coatings on both sides of wear track increases as the distance increases and distributes symmetrically around the wear track. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was utilized to investigate the worn surface of PTFE coating, h was found that the worn surface of PTFE coating is characterized by sever plastic deformation and spalling of the PTFE coating. Titanium alloy(Ti6Al4V)surfaces are generally modified to achieve some specific surface properties to satisfy requirements of clinical medicine.In our work,hexadecylphosphonic acid(HDPA)films were successfully formed on Ti6Al4V and subsequently confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and atomic force microscopy(AFM)measurements.The tribological properties of the HDPA-modified Ti6Al4V were investigated using a ball-on-disk tribometer with a linear reciprocating movement.Experimental results indicate that the HDPA-modified Ti6Al4V can maintain a low friction coefficient(approximately 0.06)for 4 h when sliding against polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)balls under a load of 0.8 N in comparison to bare Ti6Al4V(approximately 0.2);the friction coefficient of the HDPA-modified Ti6Al4V shows a 70%decline.In addition,the wear rate of PTFE balls sliding against bare Ti6Al4V was almost twenty times that of PTFE balls sliding against the HDPA-modified Ti6Al4V.Moreover,results of tribological experiments for different speeds(from 3 to 24 mm/s)and loads(from 0.8 to 3.2 N)proved that the HDPA-modified Ti6Al4V was not sensitive to both velocity and load.The friction coefficients were still low and stable even under a high load of 3.2 N or at a high speed of 24 mm/s.This indicates that this soft modification is an optional method of improving tribological properties of Ti6Al4V.  相似文献

The three dimensional(3D) microstructures of Al-Bi alloys with different grain refiners(Al-5Ti-B, Al-3B and Al-3Ti) have been studied using synchrotron X-ray microtomography. The relationships between the microstructures and the corresponding wear behavior are verified through the friction and wear tests. The worn surfaces of the samples with grain refiners tested under 15 and 60 N loads are analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM). The results indicate that the addition of grain refiners is beneficial to the size and distribution of the Bi-rich particles in Al-Bi alloys. Compared with Al-5Ti-B and Al-3B grain refiners, the Bi-rich particles are more uniformly distributed and spherical with finer size with the addition of Al-3Ti grain refiner. The refinement renders the Al-20wt%Bi alloy refined by Al-3Ti the superior wear resistance with respect to those refined by Al-5Ti-B and Al-3B grain refiners, corresponding to the microstructures with fine and uniformly distributed Bi-rich particles in the Al matrix.  相似文献

Two kinds nitride modified layers were obtained on Ti-13Nb-13 Zr surface to improve the wear property via magnetron sputtering and plasma nitriding techniques, respectively. The structures of the modified layer and the worn surface after sliding test were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The friction and wear behavior of the modified layer against alumina ball was investigated in the absence of lubricant under different loads(1 N and 2 N). The X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that nitride layer is mainly composed of TiN and Ti_2N, while coating film consists of Ti N phase. Friction and wear test indicates that both modified layers can improve the wear resistance compared to untreated Ti-13Nb-13 Zr. Ti N thin film produces very hard surface, but may be easy to cause coating fracture and delamination under high normal load. However, nitride layer exhibits better wear performance. This is attributed to hard compound layer maintained its integrity with the hardened nitrogen diffusion zone during friction and wear process.  相似文献

研究了Mg-Y4-Nd3合金鑄態和T6處理(525℃固溶處理8 h,250℃時效處理16 h)后的顯微組織、力學性能和摩擦磨損性能。結果表明:鑄造Mg-Y4-Nd3合金共晶相分布在α-Mg固溶體晶界上,呈不連續網狀分布。經過固溶時效處理后,合金為等軸晶組織,共晶相基本固溶到-αMg基體中,時效析出沉淀相呈彌散分布。兩種處理合金的抗拉強度都隨溫度的升高而降低,伸長率均隨溫度的升高而升高,同溫度下,T6處理的合金抗拉強度高于鑄態合金。T6處理的合金在干滑動摩擦條件下,隨著載荷的增加,摩擦系數降低,磨損量增加,磨損機制由磨粒磨損伴有氧化磨損向剝層磨損過渡,在高載荷下磨損表面出現塑性變形擠出現象。  相似文献

采用正交试验法对航空业最常用的钛合金Ti-6Al-4V表面阳极处理工艺参数优化进行了研究,得出的最佳工艺参数为:溶液浓度250 g/L,处理时间15 min,直流电压10 V,温度25℃.通过阳极化处理,在钛合金表面形成了一层褐色、致密、多孔的氧化层,增加了合金表面积,促进了胶接表面与胶层的机械咬合,增强了胶接强度.力学实验证明,胶接试样的剪切强度可达34.54 MPa.  相似文献

对钛合金Ti-6A l-4V与锡青铜ZQSn10-10异种金属扩散连接进行了试验研究。利用场发射电镜、能谱仪等对接合区的界面和组织形貌进行了分析比较。结果表明:Ti-6A l-4V/ZQSn10-10直接扩散连接时,由于母材组元的相互扩散和迁移,在交界面附近形成了金属间化合物层,接头强度仅为母材基体强度的30%左右。采用N i做中间层时,避免了母材组元Ti与Cu之间的相互扩散,只存在一定程度的N i分别与两侧的Cu、Ti之间的相互扩散,接头扩散区的组织形貌有了明显的改善。在最佳连接规范(连接温度T=830℃,连接压力p=15 MPa,连接时间t=30 m in)下,可使钛合金与锡青铜牢固地连接,接头强度达到母材基体强度的65%(达155 MPa),且连接试样无明显变形。  相似文献

The longitudinal tensile properties of SiC_f/Ti-6Al-4V composites with different fiber volume fractions were simulated by the Monte Carlo 2-D finite element model. The random distribution of fiber strength was expressed by the two-parameter Weibull function. Meanwhile, contact elements and birth-death elements were used to describe the interfacial sliding process after debonding and fiber breakage(or matrix cracking) respectively, which was realized by subroutine complied in ANSYS-APDL(ANSYS Parametric Design Language). The experimental results show that the yield stress and ultimate tensile strength of SiC_f/Ti-6Al-4V composites increase with increasing fiber volume fraction, while the corresponding strain of them is just on the contrary. In addition, almost the same failure mode is obtained in SiC_f/Ti-6Al-4V composites with various fiber volume fractions when the interfacial shear strength is fixed. Finally, the tensile strength predicted by finite element analysis is compared with that predicted by Global load-sharing model, Local load-sharing model and conventional rule of mixtures, thus drawing the conclusion that Local load-sharing model is very perfect for the prediction of the ultimate tensile strength.  相似文献

对20#钢试样进行C-N共渗热处理,经C-N共渗的试样进行干摩擦磨损试验,实验的载荷为2N到6N,滑动速度从8m/s到45m/s.摩擦磨损试验表明在滑动速度为35m/s左右时,发生了从轻微磨损向严重磨损的转变,结合SEM、AES和XPS分析,磨损率的变化与磨损表面的氧化物形成与剥落、氧化物的类型转变(Fe2O3转变成FeO)有密切关系.  相似文献
