应用业务流程整合(BPI)方法设计供应链管理系统

目前供应链管理系统的建立存在着业务流程关系难以理顺,遗产系统和新的应用程序之间难以整合等诸多问题。因此,本文提出了应用业务流程整合(BPI)方法来设计供应链管理系统,该方法融合了工作流管理技术和企业应用集成(EAI)技术。为复杂巨型系统提供了一个高效率和高灵活性的方案。

提出了一种应用集成服务器的设计思想。该设计着眼于实现企业信息系统整体性和灵活性，定位于为企业应用实现在应用集成意义上的工作流集成，并为企业向完全意义上的业务过程集成提供过渡手段。     

Adaptive integration activity management for on demand business process collaboration

Today businesses are interacting and collaborating more often in the context of a business value chain involving a variety of partners to deliver products and services. Business to business (B2B) connectivity, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and general business collaboration processes are becoming more critical in operating and managing efficient enterprises. The required level of inter and intra enterprise integration is generally a large undertaking and involves substantial development and customization efforts. In this paper, we propose an adaptive integration activity management approach based on web services technologies to reduce code changes associated with business process integration in a distributed collaboration environment. Specifically, we present a concept of activity chain to capture non-deterministic process flows as well as deterministic process flows in a uniform manner. Then an Activity Ontology is introduced to capture the integration requirements that include adaptation behaviors, action properties, business rules, and access control policy references. The unique ontology representation and management of the integration activities provides a uniform way to integrate additional internal and external business applications to reduce the need for pre-defined and hard-wired integration methods and to minimize code changes to existing components in an existing business collaboration and integration (B2B/EAI) infrastructure. In addition, a Petri-Net modeling exercise of the proposed integration activity management is performed to help better understand the actual system and improve the system design beforehand.

工作流技术既体现了企业管理计算机化的趋势,又突出了经营过程的重要性,已经成为当前企业管理的一个理想模式。从理论上阐述了工作流和工作流管理系统的概念,研究了一种以企业业务流程为中心的工作流模型,结合J2EE技术,提出了系统的实现框架。     

一个企业应用集成的设计模式：Hub

The Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is a challenge of modern enterprise. How much effect of information system in enterprise business implement process that depends on the degree of inner function and information integration of formation system. The choice of EAI methods not only affects the investment of constructing information system and protecting /using old system, but also determines the efficiency of new system. This paper presents a design pattern, named Hub method, from the view of application integration, which adopts the idea in heterogeneous circumstance focusing on interface encapsulating about controlling information exchange and workflow handling. It also gives an implement method and a framework of the Hub in this paper, which is applied on business process management. And a good performance is achieved in controlling information exchange and workflow handling among enterprise applications. It not only improves system integration capability, stich as expansibility, flexibility, and opening through the method of the Hub, but also takes a great advance in soft reuse during software designing and implementing.     

基于Web Service的跨企业工作流管理系统模型研究

传统的工作流技术局限于企业内部的应用集成,对跨企业之间的互操作缺乏有效的支持,在分析介绍现在工作流和WebService技术的基础上,提出了一种基于WebService的跨企业工作流管理系统模型,该模型很好的解决了企业间工作流系统的信息集成。     

EAI中基于工作流的业务过程定义

EAI的最高级形态即业务过程级的集成中,核心问题是对企业工作流的深刻理解与革新基础上对企业业务过程的抽象、定义与管理。本文简单介绍了EAI的概念,并结合典型系统INTERSTAGE CollaborationRing,重点对其中的工作流架构及其基础上的业务过程定义作了讨论。     

一种基于PDM的工作流管理服务框架的研究

工作流管理系统用来支持组织内部或组织之间的业务建模及业务过程的协作运行．在工作流过程定义及工作流实例运行时，针对系统中的数据流处理，提出一个支撑工作流管理系统运行的服务框架，框架中的服务相对独立，同时又互相协作．描述了应用背景和服务的意义并对设计原理进行形式化描述，采用接口表示服务间的协作关系，并给出一个可扩展的实现模式，用该框架设计实现了一个嵌入式工作流管理系统KE／PDM—Workflow．     

FORMAL CONSIDERATIONS OF RULE-BASED MESSAGING FOR BUSINESS PROCESS INTEGRATION

ABSTRACT

In the last decade, with the expansion of organizational scope and the tendency for outsourcing, there has been an increasing need for Business Process Integration (BPI), understood as the sharing of data and applications among business processes. The research efforts and development paths in BPI pursued by many academic groups and system vendors, targeting heterogeneous system integration, continue to face several conceptual and technological challenges.

This article begins with a brief review of major approaches and emerging standards to address BPI. Further, we introduce a rule-driven messaging approach to BPI, which is based on the harmonization of messages in order to compose a new, often cross-organizational process.

We will then introduce the design of a temporal first order language (Harmonized Messaging Calculus) that provides the formal foundation for general rules governing the business process execution. Definitions of the language terms, formulae, safety, and expressiveness are introduced and considered in detail.

过程级企业应用集成是一个完全的企业应用集成实现策略。本文根据工作流技术规范和过程集成的特点，结合组件技术，提出了一人基于工作流技术的企业应用集成的解决方案。     

基于Web的工作流系统的安全性研究

近年来随着工作流技术的日趋成熟,越来越多的企业采用它作为提高企业效率的手段,但由于目前使用的IPv4并没有对数据提供任何安全性保障,因此如何保护其商业机密,即工作流系统的安全性问题也逐渐受到人们的关注。文章介绍了一个基于Web的工作流系统SecureWorkflow的安全体系结构及其安全策略,它充分考虑了在电子政务中的实际需求,并已应用于实际的应用系统集成平台的开发。     

Investigating success factors in enterprise application integration: a case-driven analysis

This paper investigates Critical Success Factors (CSFs) in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). An initial set of CSFs for EAI projects was created based on a review and synthesis of the literature in the general area of integration, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects. A case analysis, involving a large financial services provider integrating its consumer banking systems, was used to validate the CSFs. The findings resulted in a more structured and holistic CSF model which identifies three broad groups of CSFs, namely (1) top management support, (2) overall integration strategy, and (3) EAI project planning and execution. Although EAI projects share many of the same CSFs as ERP projects and other information systems projects, issues related to the selection of the right EAI tool and emphasis on technology planning and enterprise architecture are distinguishing features of EAI projects. Some of practical implications of the research are that EAI projects require personnel with specific skills and expertise, business integration should precede technology integration, that availability of adapters is an important criteria in EAI tool selection and that some custom adapter development may be unavoidable if custom applications need to be integrated.     

Modeling and Managing Interactions among Business Processes

Most workflow management systems (WfMSs) only support the separate andindependent execution of business processes. However, processes often needto interact with each other, in order to synchronize the execution of theiractivities, to exchange process data, to request execution of services, orto notify progresses in process execution. Recent market trends also raisethe need for cooperation and interaction between processes executed in differentorganizations, posing additional challenges. In fact, in order to reduce costsand provide better services, companies are pushed to increase cooperation and toform virtual enterprises, where business processes span across organizationalboundaries and are composed of cooperating workflows executed in differentorganizations. Workflow interaction in a cross-organizational environment iscomplicated by the heterogeneity of workflow management platforms on top ofwhich workflows are defined and executed and by the different and possiblycompeting business policies and business goals that drive process executionin each organization.In this paper we propose a model and system that enable interactionbetween workflows executed in the same or in different organizations. Weextend traditional workflow models by allowing workflows to publish andsubscribe to events, and by enabling the definition of points in the processexecution where events should be sent or received. Event notifications aremanaged by a suitable event service that is capable of filtering andcorrelating events, and of dispatching them to the appropriate targetworkflow instances. The extended model can be easily mapped onto anyworkflow model, since event specific constructs can be specified by means ofordinary workflow activities, for which we provide the implementation. Inaddition, the event service is easily portable to different platforms, anddoes not require integration with the WfMS that supports the cooperatingworkflows. Therefore, the proposed approach is applicable in virtually anyenvironment and is independent on the specific platform adopted     

Standards-based approaches to B2B workflow integration

E-business automates the overall activities of a company and allows distributed systems to communicate their information. Process automation and information sharing improve a company’s productivity and responsiveness, while Business-to-Business (B2B) workflow systems electronically aid the progress of business processes among trading partners, and also help companies to monitor and administrate their process execution. This study analyzes the technologies and standards for B2B workflow integration, and extracts a reference model for B2B workflow integration. Based on the reference model, three approaches to B2B workflow integration will be introduced here. In addition, we have developed a prototype system of one approach and have illustrated an example for B2B workflow integration. The result of our research can help business partners understand the workflow standards and the messaging technologies for B2B workflow integration, and also help them understand how to implement workflow integration systems that are appropriate to their e-business environments.     

Building a production planning process with an approach based on CIMOSA and workflow management systems

Nowadays, one of the major challenges for enterprises is to stay competitive in today's changing market environment. This can be supported by business process models which on one hand are consistent and adequate (requirement #1), and on the other hand can be enacted and operated in an easy, fast, straightforward and integrated way (requirement #2). The CIMOSA architecture provides the basis for business process modelling to fulfil both of the above requirements. It supports the creation of consistent process models and allows to identify almost all the information required for the development of a workflow model. These models can be implemented using one of the commercial workflow management systems. In this paper we present the methodology based on the CIMOSA architecture that we have developed to build a workflow model in ©Lotus Notes for the forecasting and production planning processes in a tiles manufacturing enterprise. The CIMOSA approach has also been used to design the necessary software applications for processing the information of the resulting workflow system.     

基于服务总线（ESB）的应用集成（EAI）探索和研究

科研院所设计研究中各类异构软件应用系统并存,数据和信息在各个应用系统中同步和共享成为现代企业信息化的瓶颈。针对这种现状,文中采用Java技术,通过建立异构系统底层的消息通讯机制,构建连接异构系统的ESB,实现各个异构系统通过ESB进行通讯,最终达到EAI的目的。实际中,基于该ESB构建了船舶设计行业应用软件系统集成平台,在数据集成、应用集成和业务流程集成中取得了较好的效果,肯定了文中成果的可行性。文中重点叙述了所构建的ESB结构图、ESB内部通讯原理及实现中所使用的数据结构,并给出了以该ESB为核心纽带设计的相关EAI平台架构。     

企业应用集成综述

企业应用集成是企业信息技术发展的一个主要趋势,它是企业面向过程化和实现业务WEB化的基础。企业应用集成不仅是企业IT部门的技术问题,还是企业管理理念的转变和组织结构创新的问题,是人、技术与组织的集成问题。文章从广度和深度两方面对企业应用集成技术进行了综述,详细介绍了应用系统之间的数据集成、系统集成技术、面向过程的集成技术和由此带来的企业组织结构的变化等内容。     

基于Agent和XML的企业应用集成模型:NFMAS

目前,系统集成和孤立资源的整合已成为提高企业综合竞争力的关键.提出了一种基于Agent和XML的企业应用集成模型——NFMAS.该模型支持跨平台和跨语言的应用系统集成,能适应企业应用集成中各种层次的集成需求,并且支持工作流管理.     

e-Business process interleaving: Managerial and technological implications*

The emergence of Internet as the hub of e-business has made business process integration another important frontier of information management and technology. As a result, the management of inter-organizational business processes is now a major concern of corporate managers. We envision that the new and complex ways of interactions among business partners in a supply web will need to be managed effectively as the next generation of the Internet makes cross company workflow a reality. Consequently, business managers are confronted with new issues and new decisions in the strategic and operational aspects of process integration. To facilitate the understanding of these issues, we introduce a new paradigm of business computing referred to as E-business Process Interleaving, which emphasizes the complex and dynamic integration of e-business processes across company boundaries. In this paper, we outline various impacts of this new phenomenon on information management and technology and investigate the enabling technologies of e-business process interleaving. We believe that our work can help the development of the next generation of corporate information infrastructure that enables greater degree of e-business process integration.This research was partly supported by CITM grants including the DoD contract (2000–2001), N00244-00-C0108, and by the State of California NGI Program.
