In the present work, the flow boiling heat transfer characteristics and pressure drop are experimentally investigated using multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)–R123-based nanofluids flowing inside a horizontal circular tube. The effects of particle concentration, mass flux, and vapor quality on the heat transfer coefficient (HTC) and pressure drop of MWCNT–R123-based nanofluid are analyzed. Results show that flow boiling HTC and frictional pressure drop increased with nanoparticle concentration, mass flux, and vapor quality as expected. The effects of nanoparticles on the flow boiling HTC and pressure drop are quantitatively analyzed by introducing a nanoparticle impact factor. A modified correlation for predicting the flow boiling HTC of nanorefrigerants is proposed, and the proposed correlation predicts 95% of the points with a deviation of ±20%. In addition, frictional pressure drop can be predicted using the Müller-Steinhagen and Heck correlation with a mean absolute error of 13.07% if the thermophysical properties of nanofluids are substituted. 相似文献

As part of the study on thermophysical properties of HFC-134a,this paper concerns itself with vapor pressureof HFC-134a in the temperature range of 279.15K to 365.15K.A total of 43 measurement data were measuredduring the experiment which was conducted on a high precision PVTx test apparatus designed by the authorswith slight modifications.Uncertainties of temperature was ±10mK and of pressure was ±500Pa.Purity ofsample was either 99.95wt% or 99.98wt%.Data resulting from this experiment matched closely with the newestdata published internationally.Compared to our proposed equation for calculating vapor pressure of HFC-134a,the RMS deviation of experimental data was only 0.0531%,showing relatively high precision. 相似文献

为了获得开缝布置方式对开缝翅片管换热器传热与阻力特性的影响规律,对5种不同翅片管换热器进行了数值模拟研究,并进行了模化试验验证。结果表明:增加开缝会提高翅片管换热器的传热性能,但阻力也随之增加;与开缝位置相比,开缝数量对开缝翅片管换热器传热与阻力特性的影响更大;在Re=4800~7500日时,开缝翅片管换热器综合流动传热性能 随着Re数的增大而增大;在5种翅片中,开缝翅片的综合流动传热性能高于普通平直翅片;数值模拟与试验结果偏差较小,采用数值模拟方法能够比较准确地分析开缝翅片管换热器的传热与阻力特性。 相似文献

为了获得翅片间距Pf对平直翅片管换热器的传热与阻力特性的影响规律,根据相似模化原理对3种不同Pf的平直翅片管换热器进行了试验研究。结果表明:雷诺数Rea在4 000~8 000范围内,努赛尔数Nua数随Rea的增大而增加,欧拉数Eua随Rea的增大而降低;同一Rea下,Nua随Pf减小而增加,但增加不明显,Eua随Pf增大而降低;同一Rea下,Pf越大,综合流动传热性能越好,但实际换热面积会减小,需综合考虑。研究成果可为汽轮发电机平直翅片管换热器的结构和性能优化提供依据。 相似文献

In recent years the requirement for reduction of energy consumption has been increasing to solve the problems of global warming and the shortage of petroleum resources. A latent heat recovery type heat exchanger is one of the effective methods of improving thermal efficiency by recovering latent heat. This paper described the heat transfer and pressure loss characteristics of a latent heat recovery type heat exchanger having a wing fin (fin pitch: 4 mm, fin length: 65 mm). These were clarified by measuring the exchange heat quantity, the pressure loss of heat exchanger, and the heat transfer coefficient between outer fin surface and gas. The effects of condensate behavior in the fins on heat transfer and pressure loss characteristics were clarified. Furthermore, the equations for predicting the heat transfer coefficient and pressure loss which are necessary in the design of the heat exchanger were proposed. ©2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
