This paper reports on a study of students’ conceptual sensemaking with science diagrams within a computer-based learning environment aimed at supporting collaborative learning. Through the microanalysis of students’ interactions in a project about energy and heat transfer, we demonstrate how representations become productive social and cognitive resources in the students’ conceptual sensemaking. Taking a socio-cultural approach, the study aims to contribute on two levels. First, by providing insight into the interactional processes in which students encounter a particular type of representation: science diagrams. Second, the study aims to demonstrate that an important aspect of students’ encounters with science representations concerns making sense of how to respond to institutional norms and social practices embedded within the context of schooling. The findings demonstrate how the science diagrams become productive social and individual resources for the students by slowing down the students’ conceptual sensemaking processes and by opening up a space for the interpretation and negotiation of scientific concepts, as well as of the representations themselves. The study also shows the challenges involved when students move from oral to written accounts in their inquiries.  相似文献

In this paper, we study and formulate a BP learning algorithm for fuzzy relational neural networks based on smooth fuzzy norms for functions approximation. To elaborate the model behavior more, we have used different fuzzy norms led to a new pair of fuzzy norms. An important practical case in fuzzy relational equations (FREs) is the identification problem which is studied in this work. In this work we employ a neuro-based approach to numerically solve the set of FREs and focus on generalized neurons that use smooth s-norms and t-norms as fuzzy compositional operators.  相似文献

在模糊诊断和分析问题中,一个复合命题往往由多个子命题组成,子命题之间除有合取、析取及加权平均运算关系外,还存在一种非常重要的弱逻辑关系。对基于单一数值表达的模糊命题间的合取、析取关系的最一般运算形式是三角范数和三角余范数。该文给出基于单一数值表示模糊命题的弱逻辑关系的最一般运算形式f范数和基于区间值表示的模糊命题弱逻辑关系最一般运算形式f-范数,具体给出相关算子,讨论了它们的性质及与传统的一些算子之间的联系,通过引入强f范的概念,给出了构造f-范数算子的一般方法,对具有弱逻辑关系复合模糊命题的真值运算可采用本文介绍的概念和方法。  相似文献

Abstract.  In this paper, we aim to provide prototype validation in both custom and packaged software development with a theoretical framework located within the philosophy of science. Towards that end, we consider Popperian and Quinean accounts of scientific knowledge and argue that the theoretical underpinning of prototype validation is Quine's holistic philosophy of science, whose cornerstone principle is that all beliefs are revisable. Specifically, our thesis is that the systems developer and software consumer (user or customer) join forces – not as Popperian falsifiers, who make a decision rule to reject the prototype on account of any divergence, major or minor, from the software consumer's mental model, but – as Quinean revisers, with the objective of fine-tuning the prototype (or the software consumer's mental model) so that the prototype and the software consumer's mental model are congruent with each other. This paper suggests that prototype revisions are belief revisions, and, as such, should be guided – and are guided – by pragmatic norms, such as conservatism, simplicity and generality, and are influenced by social, or sociological, factors as well. Finally, we discuss the relevance, value and pragmatic implications of a Quinean philosophy of science framework for research and practice.  相似文献

This paper investigates the moderating effects of collectivist cultural orientation introduced in the information systems and knowledge management (KM) literature to fully understand the important factors and relationships in knowledge sharing in the online learning environment. Social norms and collectivist cultural orientation are hypothesized as direct and moderating factors to the system users’ (or learners’) attitude toward sharing knowledge by email. An empirical test of large student samples (n = 566) with multiple cultural backgrounds in the most diverse university was implemented by PLS. The test confirmed that collectivist cultural orientation moderates the effects of social norms on the attitude toward sharing knowledge by email. Furthermore, the test results show that group norms are stronger than the instructor or classmate norms. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings for online learning and KM are discussed in the paper.  相似文献

群体兵力行为建模语言是计算机生成兵力(CGF)系统的重要组成部分,也是国际上CGF技术领域的研究热点和难点.文章介绍了一种新的基于描述性任务逻辑的群体行为建模语言(CBML),给出了CBML语言的解释器和验证器的实现方法,研究提出了利用CBML语言描述大规模分布式虚拟战场环境中群体兵力实体的组织关系、任务规划和协同行为的描述方法和规范.试用结果表明CBML语言简洁、灵活,对群体兵力实体的组织与协同行为模型的描述能力强,应用该文提出的描述方法和规范,可高效地完成复杂群体组织与协同行为过程描述.  相似文献

A normative statement (or norm) is one whichshould hold orusually holds, as opposed to ordinary statements whichactually oralways hold. The need for normative statements in computer science specifications is described, and different kinds of norms that can occur in an action-based system are classified. A language and logic for expressing such norms is described, We show that it allows the specifier to reason about the system's behaviour even when it fails to satisfy the norms. The logic used is based on Modal Action Logic [6,4,7,11], and has two additions for expressing norms. The first of these additions is the use ofdeontic axioms. The second is the use of an ordering between axioms of a specification to stipulate priorities. Such orderings of axioms are calledordered theory presentations. We show that they arise naturally fromstructured specifications.The author acknowledges support of the British Science and Engineering Research Council on theForest project.  相似文献
