报道了一个三级主振荡功率放大(MOPA)结构的瓦级皮秒光纤激光器.第一级利用半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)和光纤光栅组成线性腔,构建了一个低功率的被动锁模掺Yb3+光纤激光器,其最大平均输出功率为9.2 mW,作为整个激光器的种子源;第二级采用单模掺镱光纤放大器对种子光进行预放大,得到108 mW平均输出功率;第三级采用带树状耦合器的双包层掺镱光纤放大器进行功率放大,获得了1.9 W平均输出功率.得到的脉冲脉宽36 ps,中心波长1064 nm,重复频率29.6 MHz,峰值功率1.8 kW,相应的单脉冲能量为61 nJ.实验中观察到种子源输出光谱中有一个凹陷,这是由于光纤光栅反射率过高并且带宽较窄引起的. 相似文献

We present an optically pumped 1550-nm vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting laser with improved output power and operating temperature using a bonded heat spreader. The laser comprises an InGaAsP-based gain element, with a resonant periodic gain structure on top of a distributed Bragg reflector, and a high reflectivity spherical mirror as the external reflector. Heat transport is enhanced by a Si heat spreader bonded to the InGaAsP surface by liquid capillary bonding. Optical pumping is achieved using a 1250-nm fiber Raman laser. A maximum continuous output power of 250 mW was obtained under multitransverse mode operation at 240 K. Under operation in the fundamental near-Gaussian mode, we obtained a maximum power of 230 mW with a beam quality factor (M/sup 2/) of 1.22. At room temperature, the output power was limited to 12 mW. 相似文献

An extremely high output power has been obtained with a new structure laser named the buried twin-ridge substrate (BTRS) laser. The very thin active layer formed on a ridged substrate permitted high power output increasing the catastrophic damage level. The buried stripe formed with a blocking layer remarkably improved the current confinement lowering the threshold current. A multilayer coating technique was applied to both facets to increase the front facet output. Fundamental transverse mode is achieved at more than 100 mW in CW with an uncoated laser while the maximum output power attained is as high as 200 mW in CW operation with a multicoated laser. 相似文献

报道了采用双光纤光栅(FBG)法布里-珀罗(F-P)腔选模的线形腔结构窄线宽光纤激光器。激光器以高掺杂Er~(3 )光纤为增益介质,利用全光纤型法拉第旋转器(FR)抑制空间烧孔效应,通过两个短光纤光栅法布里-珀罗腔选模,产生了稳定的1534.83 nm单频激光输出。激光器采用两支976 nm单模激光二极管(LD)抽运,两端输出。激光器阈值抽运光功率为12 mW,在总抽运光功率为145 mW时总输出信号光功率为39.5 mW,单端最高输出信号光功率为22 mW。光-光转换效率为27%,斜率效率为29.7%。随着抽运功率的增加,激光器输出功率趋于饱和。采用延迟自外差方法精确测量光纤激光器线宽,实验中使用了15 km单模光纤延迟线,由于测量精度的限制,得到激光器的线宽小于7kHz。这种光纤激光器具有输出功率高、线宽窄、信噪比高的特点,可用于高精度的光纤传感系统。 相似文献

The 373-μm line of CH3 CN was operated in a CW mode in an arrangement where the submillimeter (SMM)-wave laser is placed inside the resonator of the CO2 pump laser. 1 mW of CW output power was obtained; this is five times the power of a comparable SMM-wave laser in the common extracavity arrangement. A compact external cavity configuration consisting of a high power gain guided laser array, a graded index lens and a mode selective mirror was investigated. The laser array was stabilised in a single spatial mode to an output power of 950 mW with 675 mW in a diffraction limited lobe under pulsed operation. Data are presented on high-power single-mode index-guided laser diodes fabricated from a strained-layer InGaAs-InGaAsP double quantum well heterostructure epitaxial design. The total maximum power and external efficiency achieved are 50 mW and 43%, respectively. The far-field is measured to be 31° by 46° in the parallel and perpendicular directions, yielding an aspect ratio of 1.5 for the single-mode laser diode. Conventional AlGaAs laser diodes with uniform thickness active layers of various cavity lengths are investigated. It is recognized that the extension of the cavity length is effective in the improvement of the maximum output power, the temperature characteristics, and the operating life in high-temperature conditions. A 780-nm, high-power laser diode having a 350-μm-long cavity with a thin tapered-thickness active layer was fabricated. The optical power density near the mirror facets, the thermal resistance, the current density, and the carrier density were reduced by this structure. The laser emitted over 100 mW of CW (continuous-wave) output power at temperatures up to 80°C. A maximum output power level of 160 mW was achieved at room temperature. We describe a highly efficient coupling of up to 78% into a single mode fiber (SMF) by utilizing a low-divergence-angle InGaAs-AlGaAs laser and a new high-NA aspheric lens, resulting in the coupled optical output of over 300 mW with a kink-free performance. The kink-free 300 mW of fiber-coupled power is the largest power reported from a diode laser wavelength stabilized using a fiber Bragg grating. A 3% fiber Bragg grating makes the optical output stabilize at a wavelength of 1.016 /spl mu/m for an optical output power up to 310 mW and without any distinct decrease of the optical output. The coupling tolerance for lateral offsets is improved by utilizing a thermal-diffused expanded-core technique even in the case of using a high-NA coupling aspheric lens. We have also achieved a 300-mW fiber-coupled wavelength-stabilized InGaAs-AlGaAs semiconductor laser butterfly module using a fiber Bragg grating. 相似文献

报道了LD泵浦的窄线宽双包层光纤(DCF)激光器,从理论和实验数值模拟了激光输出功率对输出镜反射率,光纤长度和吸收泵浦功率的依赖关系,进而进行了实验,实验中选用光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)作为输入腔镜,利用光纤端面菲涅耳反射作为输出腔镜,得到了窄线宽的单模激光输出。最大输出功率421mW,斜率效率78.2%,激光中心波长1086.92nm,谱线宽度0.16nm。 相似文献
