调度算法决定了输入排队交换结构的性能.本文根据Internet业务特征提出调度算法应保证短包的高优先级和低延迟.已有包方式调度中,长包信元的连续传输将造成短包长时间等待.为解决该问题,本文设计了一种低复杂度抢占式交换结构,并提出了相应的抢占式短包优先调度算法(P-SPF).短包优先可减小TCP流的RTT,并由此提高TCP之性能.通过排队论分析和实际业务源模型下仿真可知:P-SPF取得短包近似为零的平均包等待时间,同时达到94%的系统吞吐量. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a grant-aware (GA) scheduling algorithm that can provide higher throughput and lower latency than a conventional dual round-robin matching (DRRM) method. In our proposed GA algorithm, when an output receives requests from different inputs, the output not only sends a grant to the selected input, but also sends a grant indicator to all the other inputs to share the grant information. This allows the inputs to skip the granted outputs in their input arbiters in the next iteration. Simulation results using OPNET show that the proposed algorithm provides a maximum 3% higher throughput with approximately 31% less queuing delay than DRRM. 相似文献

Optical Interconnection Networks for Terabit Packet Switches 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The challenge of building packet switches with terabit capacity is being met by wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) where the benefits of optical fiber are exploited. Two kinds of WDM-based bufferless optical interconnection networks are proposed in this paper to interconnect multiple electronic packet switch modules. One is based on 3-stage Clos principle and the other is based on broadcast-and-select principle. The proposed optical interconnection networks are implemented with small modular structures to provide capacities in the range of terabit per second. Their architectures, component and interconnection complexity, and power budget analyzes are presented. In addition, the crosstalk caused by the finite ON-OFF ratio of semiconductor optical amplifier is discussed. Bit error rates with respect to different ON-OFF ratios and extinction ratios are also evaluated. It is concluded that it is feasible to implement optical interconnection networks by using state-of-the-art WDM technology, and they are excellent candidates for future terabit packet switching systems. 相似文献

One of the key elements in building a time-division- multiplexed (TDM) switch is the time slot interchange (TSI). Given the current optical switching and buffer technologies, TSI-based TDM architectures have many implementation drawbacks, including severe signal attenuation. Some studies showed that some space-time equivalence diagrams can be converted into a delay-unit-based (TSI-free) TDM. This type of architecture is attractive for optical TDM switches, but the techniques discussed in those studies are for rearrangeable switches. Many applications require nonblocking switches where adding a new connection (or a flow) will not cause rearrangement of existing connections.
