In considering the contact between two rough surfaces, an asperity-based model has been obtained by applying the most general Hertzian equations for elastic deformation to the random surface model of Longuet-Higgins. For a given separation, general formulae for the expectations and variances of the load and real contact area and for the mean number of contacts are given, whilst for the variance of the number of contacts an upper bound has been derived. The formulae, involving analytically intractable integrals, have been evaluated in a special case by Monte Carlo techniques. 相似文献

In this paper, a W-Ta thin-film thermocouple has been integrated on a diamond anvil cell by thin-film deposition and photolithography methods. The thermocouple was calibrated and its thermal electromotive force was studied under high pressure. The results indicate that the thermal electromotive force of the thermocouple exhibits a linear relationship with temperature and is not associated with pressure. The resistivity measurement of ZnS powders under high pressure at different temperatures shows that the phase transition pressure decreases as the temperature increases. 相似文献

New nonparametric statistics and a criterion (test) based on them are proposed to check the hypothesis of homogeneity of three and two samples, where one sample contains an even number of elements and, hence, can be divided into two samples, against an alternative hypothesis, which implies that random values of one sample are stochastically greater than random values of two other samples. The test is mainly sensitive to shifts of distributions and is more powerful than the Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney and Whitney tests, at least for problems with samples from exponential and uniform distributions. 相似文献
