This issue reviews various areas where nanotechnology has come up predominately in fibrous materials, namely in electrospun polymeric nanofibers and polymer layered silicate nanocomposites. It includes synthesis, characterization, various methods of collecting nanofibers, factors affecting electrospinning, methods of increasing the productivity of the electrospinning process, and different electrospinning designs. It also covers synthesis and characterization of polymer nanocomposites. Various properties of nanocomposites are discussed. The rheological behavior and morphology of nanocomposites are covered. Different modeling and simulation methods applicable to electrospun nanofibers and polymer layered silicate nanocomposites are discussed. Some of the potential application areas of electrospun nanofibers, polymer layered silicate nanocomposites, and various products available in the market based on nanotechnology are also discussed. Some of the lacking areas and future prospects in nanofibrous structures (nanofibers and nanocomposites) are emphasized in this issue. 相似文献

近年来纳米技术在保健食品中的应用飞速发展,研究证明其可以帮助保健食品在体内表现更好的生物活性,提高吸收率。然而,纳米材料作为一种人工制造的新的物质形态,如同转基因产品一样,人们对它的认识才刚刚开始。当保健食品中的纳米颗粒通过口服进入人体后,由于其具有的小尺寸效应和表面效应,可能会产生不同于常规保健成分的反应。然而缺乏对纳米粒子物理化学性质的全面掌握、传统毒理学测试方法并不完全适用于纳米粒子等问题阻碍着研究进展。各国对纳米技术的安全性问题的研究投入越来越多,2011年5月欧盟食品安全局刚刚公布了《纳米技术应用食品和饲料的风险评估指南》,将对评估纳米粒子在保健食品中的安全风险提供参考。 相似文献

肉品保鲜技术能够延缓肉品氧化反应及其腐败变质,提高肉品品质和安全性。常用的保鲜方法可分为物理保鲜方法和化学保鲜方法,其中物理保鲜技术是一种有效抑制细菌或杀死细菌的保鲜方法,然而其成本高、操作复杂、难以把控;化学保鲜方法成本低、保鲜效果好,但存在潜在毒性等问题。纳米材料因其特殊结构引起表面效应、小尺寸效应、量子尺寸效应和宏观量子隧道效应的特性可减少保鲜剂的使用,并提高保鲜剂的作用效果。纳米技术在肉类保鲜中已有应用并呈现良好保鲜效果,因此利用纳米技术有望开发出低成本、高效、安全的保鲜方法。本文对肉品保鲜中常用纳米技术进行介绍,综述纳米技术在肉类保鲜中的应用,并对纳米技术在肉类保鲜中的应用进行展望。 相似文献

为制备基于天然聚合物(蛋白质、多糖)静电纺丝纳米纤维,本文将豌豆分离蛋白和普鲁兰多糖以质量比1:1混合制备共混溶液,研究共混溶液的浓度(10.0%~25.0%,w/v)对共混溶液性质及静电纺丝纳米纤维形貌结构的影响。通过测定共混溶液的性质(包括pH、表面张力、电导率以及表观粘度)以及静电纺丝纳米纤维的微观结构,来确定最佳的共混溶液浓度。结果表明,不同浓度的共混溶液pH基本维持中性范围内,表面张力在37~47 mN/m范围内波动,随着共混溶液浓度的增加,其电导率显著降低(P<0.05),而且表观粘度显著增加(P<0.05)。与此同时,当共混液浓度大于20.0%时,才开始形成静电纺丝纳米纤维,其中以22.5%和25.0%的共混液制备出的静电纺丝纳米纤维具有形貌良好和直径均匀的特征。 相似文献

The emergence of nanotechnology developments using nanodevices/nanomaterials opens up potential novel applications in agriculture and food sector. Smart delivery systems, biosensors, and nanoarrays are being designed to solve the problems faced in agriculture sector. Similarly, food sector is also benefited through the use of smart biosensors, packaging materials, and nanonutraceuticals. Despite the great potential of nanotechnology in agri-food sector, people are ambiguous about use in food applications because of suspected potential health risks and environmental concerns. Nanoparticles, due to their unique characteristics, including small size, shape, high surface area, charge, chemical properties, solubility and degree of agglomeration can cross cell boundaries or pass directly from the lungs into the blood stream and ultimately reach to all of the organs in the body. This is the reason why they may pose higher risk than the same mass and material of larger particles. In this paper, we have made an attempt to give an overview of nanotechnology developments in agri-food sector, risks associated with nanomaterials and toxicity regulations for policy framework. 相似文献

The health‐promoting properties of the Mediterranean diet have been attributed, at least in part, to the chemical diversity of plant foods. Among phytochemicals, polyphenols represent the paradigm of the relationship between healthy foods and reduced risk of chronic‐degenerative diseases, although, in the past few years, a new element has enriched this scenario. Melatonin, and possibly other indoleamines recently discovered in some relevant Mediterranean foods, may represent a new factor contributing to the elucidation of the protective effects of diets rich in plant products. Therefore, in synergy with polyphenols and other bioactive phytochemicals (e.g. carotenoids and glucosinolates), melatonin may contribute to maximizing the benefits of healthy dietary styles. This brief survey deals with the occurrence of melatonin in the Mediterranean diet, with an emphasis on grape products, and focuses on the biological significance of dietary melatonin, an emerging and exciting topic in the field of nutritional sciences. © 2014 Society of Chemical Industry 相似文献
