This letter proposes a novel out-of-phase power divider that operates at two arbitrary frequencies. Because of the use of the balanced transmission line, namely the double-sided parallel-strip line (DSPSL), the out-of-phase feature between the two output ports can be made frequency-independent. The power divider employs three lumped components (an inductor L, a capacitor C and a resistor R) in serial connection to achieve isolation between the two output ports. The design equations are derived using the odd-mode and even-mode analysis. Experimental results show that good matching, isolation and amplitude balance are simultaneously achievable for both of the two operating frequency bands. 相似文献

A novel planar three-way power divider is proposed. Based on the conventional planar microstrip coupled line technology, the proposed three-way power divider can modify a three-way Wilkinson power divider from a three-dimensional configuration into a two-dimensional one, meanwhile, to keep the length of the circuit to be$lambda/$ 4. The planar structure enables easy circuit design in printed circuit boards and monolithic microwave integrated circuits. The design concept and implementation are discussed. From the measured results, less than 4.8$pm $ 0.1dB of the three equivalent insertion losses, less than 19.5dB of the return loss, and better than 17.5dB of isolation at 2.4GHz can be achieved. 相似文献

A rigorous design theory for compact rectangrdar waveguide power dividers with unsymmetrical series E-plane T-junctions of suitably optimized different waveguide heights and distances is described. The method is based on field expansion in normalized eigenmodes which yield directly the modal S-matrix of two appropriate key building blocks. The immediate modal S-matrix combination of the individual structures includes the effects of all step discontinuities and their mutual higher order mode interaction. Computer-optimized -3.01 dB, -4.77 dB, and -6.02 dB power divider examples achieve about +-0.25 dB coupling deviation at the output ports, together with about 30 dB return loss at the input port, for the chosen design frequencies of 12 GHz, 31.6 GHz, and 15.5 GHz. The -4.77 dB power divider provides a bandwidth of about 8 percent. The theory is verified by measurements. 相似文献

A three-way power divider with ultra wideband behavior is presented. It has a compact size with an overall dimension of 20 mm times 30 mm. The proposed divider utilizes broadside coupling via multilayer microstrip/slot transitions of elliptical shape. The simulated and measured results show that the proposed device has 4.77 plusmn 1 dB insertion loss, better than 17 dB return loss, and better than 15 dB isolation across the frequency band 3.1 to 10.6 GHz. 相似文献

根据径向波导传输线理论,提出了一种基于多圈多路功率分配网络匹配级联的多路不等分功率分配器设计方法;并利用径向波导场结构特性和多探针耦合原理,实现了一种多路不等分功率分配器,该结构具有低损耗、高精度性能,且可实现所需的端口相位和幅度一致性.作为验证,文中实现了一个L波段19路不等分功率分配器,电磁仿真和测试结果表明,内圈7路幅相不平衡度分别小于0.1dB和0.4°,外圈12端口幅相不平衡度分别小于0.3dB和1.8°.测试与仿真结果比较吻合,验证了该分析方法的正确性与可行性. 相似文献

文章提出了一种新的功分器分析方法。该方法利用任意两个隔离端口之间的反射和隔离散射参数,严格推导了任意两个隔离端口应该满足的以Y矩阵表示的约束条件。同时提出了先功分电路,后隔离电路的设计流程,为器件的小型化设计指引了方向。与传统的奇/偶模方法相比,该方法对于非对称功分器提供了更严谨的分析过程。该方法也适用于分析任意端口数、任意端接实阻抗、任意功分比的功分器、正交和180°耦合器设计问题。利用该方法,在微带PCB(印刷电路板)上,制作了一款功分器。通过对比理论计算、全波仿真以及测量结果,表明设计的小型化功分器性能良好。 相似文献

A Ka-band planar three-way power divider which uses the coupled line instead of the transmission line is proposed to reduce chip size. The proposed planar topology, different from the conventional Wilkinson power divider, is analyzed and can provide not only compact but also dc block characteristics, which are very suitable for monolithic microwave integrated circuit applications. The divider implemented by a pHEMT process shows an insertion loss less than 5.1 dB and an output isolation better than 17 dB. A return loss less than 18 dB and a phase difference of 4.2deg at 30 GHz can be achieved. Finally, good agreements between the simulation and experimental results are shown. 相似文献

A microwave circuit is presented which provides continuous variation of microwave power between two outputs in any desired ratio. A typical device utilizing the circuit is described, and other uses of the circuit are discussed. An X-band power divider was constructed which had a vswr of less than 1.2 at all times over the frequency range of 8.6 to 9.6 kmc, divided the total input energy between the outputs in any ratio from 1/10,000 to 1, and had less than 0.4-db total insertion loss. No other losses were present. Adjustment could be made under maximum power levels of the waveguide. Another use of the circuit is to couple two high-power transmitters into one output, thus providing a dual frequency antenna coupler or diplexer. The power divider provides isolation between output terminals and approximately matched terminal impedances over about a 20 per cent band.
