The presence of characteristic fine folds is important for modeling realistic looking virtual garments. While recent garment capture techniques are quite successful at capturing the low-frequency garment shape and motion over time, they often fail to capture the numerous high-frequency folds, reducing the realism of the reconstructed space-time models. In our work we propose a method for reintroducing fine folds into the captured models using data-driven dynamic wrinkling. We first estimate the shape and position of folds based on the original video footage used for capture and then wrinkle the surface based on those estimates using space-time deformation. Both steps utilize the unique geometric characteristics of garments in general, and garment folds specifically, to facilitate the modeling of believable folds. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our wrinkling method on a variety of garments that have been captured using several recent techniques. 相似文献

This paper presents a software model checking algorithm that combats state explosion by decomposing each thread's execution into a sequence of transactions that execute atomically. Our algorithm infers transactions using the theory of reduction, and supports both left and right movers, thus yielding larger transactions and fewer context switches than previous methods. Our approach uses access predicates to support a wide variety of synchronization mechanisms. Electrical load forecasting is very crucial for electrical power systems’ planning and operation. Both electrical buildings’ load demand and meteorological datasets may contain hidden patterns that are required to be investigated and studied to show their potential impact on load forecasting. The meteorological data are analyzed in this study through different data mining techniques aiming to predict the electrical load demand of a factory located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The factory load and meteorological data used in this study are recorded hourly between 2016 and 2017. These data are provided by King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy and Saudi Electricity Company at a site located in Riyadh. After applying the data pre-processing techniques to prepare the data, different machine learning algorithms, namely Artificial Neural Network and Support Vector Regression (SVR), are applied and compared to predict the factory load. In addition, for the sake of selecting the optimal set of features, 13 different combinations of features are investigated in this study. The outcomes of this study emphasize selecting the optimal set of features as more features may add complexity to the learning process. Finally, the SVR algorithm with six features provides the most accurate prediction values to predict the factory load. 相似文献

Current high-end microprocessors achieve high performance as a result of adding more features and therefore increasing complexity. This paper makes the case for a Chip-Multiprocessor based on the Data-Driven Multithreading (DDM-CMP) execution model in order to overcome the limitations of current design trends. Data-Driven Multithreading (DDM) is a multithreading model that effectively hides the communication delay and synchronization overheads. DDM-CMP avoids the complexity of other designs by combining simple commodity microprocessors with a small hardware overhead for thread scheduling and an interconnection network. Preliminary experimental results show that a DDM-CMP chip of the same hardware budget as a high-end commercial microprocessor, clocked at the same frequency, achieves a speedup of up to 18.5 with a 78–81% power consumption of the commercial chip. Overall, the estimated results for the proposed DDM-CMP architecture show a significant benefit in terms of both speedup and power consumption making it an attractive architecture for future processors. 相似文献

神经机器翻译技术是目前机器翻译应用中取得效果最好的方法。将外部语言学知识如单词词性、依存句法标签引入神经机器翻译系统以提高翻译性能已经被很多学者证明是一种行之有效的途径。相较于其他表音文字,汉字是一种形声字,其构造方法具有一半表音、一半表意的特殊结构,这种特殊的构造法使得汉字含有丰富的语义、语音和句法信息。该文在Marta R等工作的基础上,提出了一种新的将字形特征融入端到端模型的方法,并将之应用于中文到英文的翻译上。与基准系统相比,该方法在NIST评测集上获得平均1.1个点的显著提升,有效地证明了汉字字形特征可以对神经机器翻译模型起到促进作用。 相似文献

NTIS (National Science & Technology Information Service) collects national R&D information through the connection system in real time with specialized institutions under government ministries for R&D information service. However, because the information connection between the research management systems in each ministry (institution) and the NTIS is different, it is not easy to operate the connection system, and immediate data collection is thus not ensured. This study aims to propose an information connection model to be applied on the NTIS-like systems. To do this, we examine methods or styles of information connection and compare strength and weakness of connection methods. In this paper we also understand issues or characteristics of the methods through analyzing current information connection methods applied on the NTIS.
