This paper addresses the problem of designing robust tracking control for a class of uncertain wheeled mobile robots actuated by brushed direct current motors. This class of electrically‐driven mechanical systems consists of the robot kinematics, the robot dynamics, and the wheel actuator dynamics. Via the backstepping technique, an intelligent robust tracking control scheme that integrates a kinematic controller and an adaptive neural network‐based (or fuzzy‐based) controller is developed such that all of the states and signals of the closed‐loop system are bounded and the tracking error can be made as small as possible. Two adaptive approximation systems are constructed to learn the behaviors of unknown mechanical and electrical dynamics. The effects of both the approximation errors and the unmodeled time‐varying perturbations in the input and virtual‐input weighting matrices are counteracted by suitably tuning the control gains. Consequently, the robust control scheme developed here can be employed to handle a broader class of electrically‐driven wheeled mobile robots in the presence of high‐degree time‐varying uncertainties. Finally, a simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed control scheme.  相似文献

This paper presents a fuzzy adaptive control suitable for motion control of multi-link robot manipulators with structured and unstructured uncertainties. When joint velocities are available, full state fuzzy adaptive feedback control is designed to ensure the stability of the closed loop dynamic. If the joint velocities are not measurable, an observer is introduced and an adaptive output feedback control is designed based on the estimated velocities. In the proposed control scheme, we need not derive the linear formulation of robot dynamic equation and tune the parameters. To reduce the number of fuzzy rules of the fuzzy controller, we consider the properties of robot dynamics and the decomposition of the uncertainties terms. The proposed controller is robust against uncertainties and external disturbance. Further, it is shown that required stability conditions, in both cases, can be formulated as LMI problems and solved using dedicated software. The validity of the control scheme is demonstrated by computer simulations on a two-link robot manipulator.  相似文献

In this paper, a robust adaptive tracking control problem is discussed for a general class of strict-feedback uncertain nonlinear systems. The systems may possess a wide class of uncertainties referred to as unstructured uncertainties, which are not linearly parameterized and do not have any prior knowledge of the bounding functions. The Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the uncertainties. A unified and systematic procedure is employed to derive two kinds of novel robust adaptive tracking controllers by use of the input-to-state stability (ISS) and by combining the backstepping technique and generalized small gain approach. One is the robust adaptive fuzzy tracking controller (RAFTC) for the system without input gain uncertainty. The other is the robust adaptive fuzzy sliding tracking controller (RAFSTC) for the system with input gain uncertainty. Both algorithms have two advantages, those are, semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of adaptive control system in the presence of unstructured uncertainties and the adaptive mechanism with minimal learning parameterizations. Four application examples, including a pendulum system with motor, a one-link robot, a ship roll stabilization with actuator and a single-link manipulator with flexible joint, are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and performance of proposed schemes.  相似文献

In this paper, a stable adaptive fuzzy-based tracking control is developed for robot systems with parameter uncertainties and external disturbance. First, a fuzzy logic system is introduced to approximate the unknown robotic dynamics by using adaptive algorithm. Next, the effect of system uncertainties and external disturbance is removed by employing an integral sliding mode control algorithm. Consequently, a hybrid fuzzy adaptive robust controller is developed such that the resulting closed-loop robot system is stable and the trajectory tracking performance is guaranteed. The proposed controller is appropriate for the robust tracking of robotic systems with system uncertainties. The validity of the control scheme is shown by computer simulation of a two-link robotic manipulator.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new robust output feedback control approach for flexible-joint electrically driven (FJED) robots via the observer dynamic surface design technique. The proposed method only requires position measurements of the FJED robots. To estimate the link and actuator velocity information of the FJED robots with model uncertainties, we develop an adaptive observer using self-recurrent wavelet neural networks (SRWNNs). The SRWNNs are used to approximate model uncertainties in both robot (link) dynamics and actuator dynamics, and all their weights are trained online. Based on the designed observer, the link position tracking controller using the estimated states is induced from the dynamic surface design procedure. Therefore, the proposed controller can be designed more simply than the observer backstepping controller. From the Lyapunov stability analysis, it is shown that all signals in a closed-loop adaptive system are uniformly ultimately bounded. Finally, the simulation results on a three-link FJED robot are presented to validate the good position tracking performance and robustness of the proposed control system against payload uncertainties and external disturbances.  相似文献

In this paper, novel adaptive sliding mode dynamic controller with integrator in the loop is proposed for nonholonomic wheeled mobile robot (WMR). The modified kinematics controller is used to generate kinematics velocities of WMR which are subsequently used as the input to adaptive dynamic controller. Actuator dynamics are also derived to generate actuator voltage of WMR through torque and velocity vectors. Stability of both kinematics and dynamic controller is presented using Lyapunov stability analysis. The proposed scheme is verified and validated using computer simulations for tracking the desired trajectory of WMR. The performance of proposed scheme is compared with standard backstepping kinematics controller and classical sliding mode control. In addition, the performance is further compared with standard backstepping kinematics controller with adaptive sliding mode controller without integrator. It is shown that the proposed scheme exhibits zero steady state error, fast error convergence and robustness in the presence of continuous disturbances and uncertainties.  相似文献

In this paper, a new adaptive neuro controller for trajectory tracking is developed for robot manipulators without velocity measurements, taking into account the actuator constraints. The controller is based on structural knowledge of the dynamics of the robot and measurements of joint positions only. The system uncertainty, which may include payload variation, unknown nonlinearities and torque disturbances is estimated by a Chebyshev neural network (CNN). The adaptive controller represents an amalgamation of a filtering technique to generate pseudo filtered tracking error signals (for the elimination of velocity measurements) and the theory of function approximation using CNN. The proposed controller ensures the local asymptotic stability and the convergence of the position error to zero. The proposed controller is robust not only to structured uncertainty such as payload variation but also to unstructured one such as disturbances. Moreover the computational complexity of the proposed controller is reduced as compared to the multilayered neural network controller. The validity of the control scheme is shown by simulation results of a two-link robot manipulator. Simulation results are also provided to compare the proposed controller with a controller where velocity is estimated by finite difference methods using position measurements only.  相似文献

This paper presents an adaptive nonsingular terminal sliding mode (NTSM) tracking control design for robotic systems using fuzzy wavelet networks. Compared with linear hyperplane-based sliding control, terminal sliding mode controller can provide faster convergence and higher precision control. Therefore, a terminal sliding controller combined with the fuzzy wavelet network, which can accurately approximate unknown dynamics of robotic systems by using an adaptive learning algorithm, is an attractive control approach for robots. In addition, the proposed learning algorithm can on-line tune parameters of dilation and translation of fuzzy wavelet basis functions and hidden-to-output weights. Therefore, a robust control law is used to eliminate uncertainties including the inevitable approximation errors resulted from the finite number of fuzzy wavelet basis functions. The proposed controller requires no prior knowledge about the dynamics of the robot and no off-line learning phase. Moreover, both tracking performance and stability of the closed-loop robotic system can be guaranteed by Lyapunov theory. Finally, the effectiveness of the fuzzy wavelet network-based control approach is illustrated through comparative simulations on a six-link robot manipulator  相似文献

This paper addresses the trajectory tracking control problem of nonholonomic robotic systems in the presence of modeling uncertainties. A tracking controller is proposed such that it combines the inverse dynamics control technique and an adaptive robust PID control strategy to preserve robustness to both parametric and nonparametric uncertainties. A SPR-Lypunov stability analysis demonstrates that tracking errors are uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB) and exponentially converge to a small ball containing the origin. The proposed inverse dynamics tracking controller is successfully applied to a nonholonomic wheeled mobile robot (WMR) and experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.  相似文献

A robust adaptive controller for a nonholonomic mobile robot with unknown kinematic and dynamic parameters is proposed. A kinematic controller whose output is the input of the relevant dynamic controller is provided by using the concept of backstepping. An adaptive algorithm is developed in the kinematic controller to approximate the unknown kinematic parameters, and a simple single-layer neural network is used to express the highly nonlinear robot dynamics in terms of the known and unknown parameters. In order to attenuate the effects of the uncertainties and disturbances on tracking performance, a sliding mode control term is added to the dynamic controller. In the deterministic design of feedback controllers for the uncertain dynamic systems, upper bounds on the norm of the uncertainties are an important clue to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system. However, sometimes these upper bounds may not be easily obtained because of the complexity of the structure of the uncertainties. Thereby, simple adaptation laws are proposed to approximate upper bounds on the norm of the uncertainties to address this problem. The stability of the proposed control system is shown through the Lyapunov method. Lastly, a design example for a mobile robot with two actuated wheels is provided and the feasibility of the controller is demonstrated by numerical simulations.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel robust observer-based adaptive controller is presented using a proposed simplified type-2 fuzzy neural network (ST2FNN) and a new three dimensional type-2 membership function is presented. Proposed controller can be applied to the control of high-order nonlinear systems and adaptation of the consequent parameters and stability analysis are carried out using Lyapunov theorem. Moreover, a new adaptive compensator is presented to eliminate the effect of the external disturbance, unknown nonlinear functions approximation errors and sate estimation errors. In the proposed scheme, using the Lyapunov and Barbalat's theorem it is shown that the system is stable and the tracking error of the system converges to zero asymptotically. The proposed method is simulated on a flexible joint robot, two-link robot manipulator and inverted double pendulums system. Simulation results confirm that in contrast to other robust techniques, our proposed method is simple, give better performance in the presence of noise, external disturbance and uncertainties, and has less computational cost.  相似文献

Adaptive control of robot manipulator using fuzzy compensator   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
This paper presents two kinds of adaptive control schemes for robot manipulator which has the parametric uncertainties. In order to compensate these uncertainties, we use the FLS (fuzzy logic system) that has the capability to approximate any nonlinear function over the compact input space. In the proposed control schemes, we need not derive the linear formulation of robot dynamic equation and tune the parameters. We also suggest the robust adaptive control laws in all proposed schemes for decreasing the effect of approximation error. To reduce the number of fuzzy rules of the FLS, we consider the properties of robot dynamics and the decomposition of the uncertainty function. The proposed controllers are robust not only to the structured uncertainty such as payload parameter, but also to the unstructured one such as friction model and disturbance. The validity of the control scheme is shown by computer simulations of a two-link planar robot manipulator  相似文献

An asymptotically stable decentralized adaptive control scheme is presented to enable accurate trajectory tracking without requiring specific knowledge about the robot dynamics. The scheme is based on expressing the robot dynamics as the product of individual joint quantities, and bounds on certain robot parameters. Parameter adaptation laws are derived using the Lyapunov theory, and asymptotic stability of tracking errors, and boundedness of parameter estimates are established. The control system is shown to be robust to torque disturbances affecting the system and to a class of unmodeled dynamics. The structure of the controller and the performance of the closed-loop system are analyzed. Simulations results using the complete dynamic model of a six degree of freedom industrial robot are presented to demonstrate the excellent tracking performance of the proposed adaptive control scheme. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

This article investigates the robust adaptive control system design for the longitudinal dynamics of a flexible air‐breathing hypersonic vehicle (FAHV) subject to parametric uncertainties and control input constraints. A combination of back‐stepping and nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO) is utilized for exploiting an adaptive output‐feedback controller to provide robust tracking of velocity and altitude reference trajectories in the presence of flexible effects and system uncertainties. The dynamic surface control is introduced to solve the problem of “explosion of terms.” A new NDO is developed to guarantee the proposed controller's disturbance attenuation ability and to performance robustness against uncertain aerodynamic coefficients. To deal with the problem of actuator saturation, a novel auxiliary system is exploited to compensate the desired control laws. The stability of the presented NDO and controller is analyzed. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented control strategy.  相似文献

The problem of linear systems subject to actuator faults(outage, loss of efectiveness and stuck),parameter uncertainties and external disturbances is considered. An active fault compensation control law is designed which utilizes compensation in such a way that uncertainties, disturbances and the occurrence of actuator faults are account for.The main idea is designing a robust adaptive output feedback controller by automatically compensating the fault dynamics to render the close-loop stability.According to the information from the adaptive mechanism, the updating control law is derived such that all the parameters of the unknown input signal are bounded.Furthermore,a disturbance decoupled fault reconstruction scheme is presented to evaluate the severity of the fault and to indicate how fault accommodation should be implemented. The advantage of fault compensation is that the dynamics caused by faults can be accommodated online. The proposed design method is illustrated on a rocket fairing structural-acoustic model.  相似文献

In this paper we are interested in robust adaptive fuzzy control of nonlinear SISO systems in the presence of parametric uncertainties. The plant model structure is represented by the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) type fuzzy system. An indirect adaptive fuzzy controller based on model reference control scheme is proposed to provide asymptotic tracking of reference signal. The controller parameters are computed at each time. The plant state tracks asymptotically the state of the reference model for any bounded reference input signal. Inverted pendulum and mass spring damper are used to check the performance of the proposed controller.  相似文献

Fuzzy sliding mode control for a robot manipulator   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This work presents the design of a robust control system using a sliding mode controller that incorporates a fuzzy control scheme. The presented control law superposes a sliding mode controller and a fuzzy logic controller. A fuzzy tuning scheme is employed to improve the performance of the control system. The proposed fuzzy sliding mode control (FSMC) scheme utilizes the complementary cooperation of the traditional sliding mode control (SMC) and the fuzzy logic control (FLC). In other words, the proposed control scheme has the advantages which it can guarantee the stability in the sense of Lyapunov function theory and can ameliorate the tracking errors, compared with the FLC and SMC, respectively. Simulation results for the trajectory tracking control of a two-link robot manipulator are presented to show the feasibility and robustness of the proposed control scheme.
