1 基于角色的合作式IPTV运营平台 当前,通常的IPTV系统划分为4层,即业务层、内容层、承载网络层和用户层。由于流媒体业务的高带宽、实时性、互动性的特殊要求,需要部署分布式的流媒体服务网络。内容层除了要进行内容的管理和流媒体服务外,还需要包含流媒体内容分发网络CDN的功能。因此,完整的内容层包含管理、分发、服务三方面。由于各种运营商的优势侧重不同,有的擅长内容的制作和管理,有的优势在内容的分发和服务提供,未进行细分的内容层导致了双方权力的渗透和利益的交叠,不利于各自优势的发挥。  相似文献

IPTV作为一种高带宽、高质量的新型互联网多媒体业务,对电信运营商的IP城域网提出了更高要求。组播技术与传统单播技术相比,在传输效率相当的基础上具有网络带宽不随用户数量线性增长的优点,可以有效地节约视频服务器和承载网络的负载。因此,电信运营商要高效且经济地部署和实现IPTV业务,建议采用端到端组播推送,且IP组播网络的配置是关键。  相似文献

目前固网运营商纷纷开始了IPTV业务的试验和网络部署。IPTV业务部署涉及内容分发、业务平台建设、传输和接入承载网络建设以及终端部署等多个方面。接入承载网络包含了DSL接入、LAN接入、EPON接入等多种模式,文章着重阐述了EPON接入模式下,系统承载IPTV业务的关键技术要求,包括业务隔离和VLAN规划、组播功能、端口定位与认证和业务安全等。  相似文献

传统的网络层中对于IPTV业务质量监测方法不能满足光接入网中的需求。因此,提出一种基于FTTH物理层光指标OSNR测量的IPTV服务质量监测的方法,通过对接入光信号OSNR的测量来监测IPTV业务的服务质量。仿真结果证明,上述方法通过监测OSNR能够IPTV接入业务的服务质量,从而提高光接入网络的运维效率,节省运维成本。  相似文献

New Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services are including new technologies such as Stereoscopic TV and three‐dimensions (3D) HDTV. As well, increased ubiquitous networking and promoting in smart devices have led to high demand IPTV (over networks). Stereoscopic content required higher data flow to support these emerging TV services, and there are higher requirements at the network layer to provide good quality of service and quality of experience to the end users in delivering stereoscopic IPTV. In this paper, we propose a new concept of cognitive network management algorithm and protocol based on 3D coding techniques for delivering of stereoscopic IPTV service. The proposed approach explains how the management algorithm observes the network performance to guarantee the quality of the stereoscopic IPTV services, by measuring the performance of quality of service (QoS) parameters (delay, jitter, and packets loss) and quality of experience (QoE) metrics such as Peak Signal‐to‐Noise Ratio (PSNR), Moving Image Videography (MIV), and Mean Opinion Score (MOS). Those parameters are monitored in order to take appropriate codification decision for IPTV service provider. Moreover, the codification decision uses K‐mean classification to select the better codification for the end users. Therefore, both kinds of 3D coding formats such as Stereo Video Coding (SVC) format and 2D + Z Coding format (2D‐plus‐Depth) are selected in our experiments. As a result, our proposal successfully ensures the appropriate quality of service and quality of experience to the end users when the service of stereoscopic IPTV is being delivered.  相似文献

In order to deliver a qualitative Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service over vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), a quality of service (QoS) mechanism is needed to manage the allocate of network resources to the diverse IPTV application traffic demands. Unlike other mobile network, VANETs have certain unique characteristic that presents several difficulties in providing an effective QoS. Similarly, IPTV requires a constant stream for QoS which at the moment is quite difficult due to the inherent VANET characteristics. To provide an effective QoS that will meet the IPTV application service demands, VANETs, must satisfy the compelling real-time traffic streaming QoS requirement (i.e., minimum bandwidth allocation, packet loss and jitter). In this report, we evaluate via simulation the feasibility of deploying quality IPTV services over VANETs, by characterizing the association between the IPTV streaming quality determining factors (i.e., throughput, delay, loss, jitter) and the IPTV quality degradation, with respect to node density and node velocity. Furthermore, we used an objective QoS metric (Media-Delivery-Index) to identify, locate and address the loss or out-of-order packet. We outline how, using these information’s can support in shaping network parameters to optimize service flows. The implementation assures a priority for handling IPTV traffic, such that maximise the usage of VANETs resources, and opens the possibility that loss and delay can be minimised to a degree that could guarantee quality IPTV service delivery among vehicle in a vehicular network system.

Internet protocol television (IPTV) service depends on the network quality of service (QoS) and bandwidth of the broadband service provider. IEEE 802.16j mobile multihop relay Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access networks have the opportunity to offer high bandwidth capacity by introducing relay stations. However, to actually satisfy QoS requirements for offering IPTV services (HDTV, SDTV, Web TV, and mobile TV) for heterogeneous users' requests, providers must use a video server for each IPTV service type, which increases the network load, especially bandwidth consumption and forwarding time. In this paper, we present a solution for forwarding IPTV video streaming to diverse subscribers via an 802.16j broadband wireless access network. In particular, we propose a new multicast tree construction and aggregation mechanism based on the unique property of prime numbers. Performance evaluation results show that the proposed scheme reduces both bandwidth consumption and forwarding time.  相似文献

Wireless mesh networking has recently emerged as a promising technology for the next-generation wireless networks. In wireless mesh networks (WMNs), it is practically attractive to support the low-cost quality-of-service (QoS) guaranteed mobile TV service. To meet this need, our study addresses how to improve the delay and jitter performance of mobile IPTV services over IEEE 802.11 based WMN. Particularly, we first discuss the adaptation of IEEE 802.11 MAC layer to construct a WMN with emphasis on mobile IPTV service; we then develop an enhanced version of Guaranteed-Rate (GR) packet scheduling algorithm, namely virtual reserved rate GR (VRR-GR), to further reduce the delay and suppress the jitter in multiservice network environment. Simulation results show that our proposed approach can satisfyingly prioritize mobile IPTV services in WMN, while providing non-IPTV services with what they need as well.   相似文献

Maintaining the quality of videos in resource-intensive IPTV services is challenging due to the nature of packet-based content distribution networks (CDN). Network impairments are unpredictable and highly detrimental to the quality of video content. Quality of the end user experience (QoE) has become a critical service differentiator. An efficient real-time quality assessment service in distribution networks is the foundation of service quality monitoring and management. The perceptual impact of individual impairments varies significantly and is influenced by complex impact factors. Without differentiating the impact of quality violation events to the user experience, existing assessment methodologies based on network QoS such as packet loss rate cannot provide adequate supports for the IPTV service assessment. A discrete perceptual impact evaluation quality assessment (DEQA) framework is introduced in this paper. The proposed framework enables a real-time, non-intrusive assessment service by efficiently recognising and assessing individual quality violation events in the IPTV distribution network. The discrete perceptual impacts to a media session are aggregated for the overall user level quality evaluation. With its deployment scheme the DEQA framework also facilitates efficient network diagnosis and QoE management. To realise the key assessment function of the framework and investigate the proposed advanced packet inspection mechanism, we also introduce the dedicated evaluation testbed—the LA2 system. A subjective experiment with data analysis is also presented to demonstrate the development of perceptual impact assessment functions using analytical inference, the tools of the LA2 system, subjective user tests and statistical modelling.  相似文献
