一直到1980年代,使教堂建筑世俗化的努力,使得教堂建筑放弃了自身的主导地位,而和原有的普通建筑结合,建成多功能教区中心,这使许多教堂不再是城市的标志性建筑.今天,我们看到一种力求恢复教堂神圣感的反向潮流.从这个意义上讲,这座教堂是一个不同凡响的工程.尽管这是一栋“单纯”的教堂,它的外形一点都不符合这类建筑的特点:它犹如一个玻璃盒,或是一个飞机库,特别是它那巨大的大门.神圣气氛主要在教堂内营造,并通过光线的照射来强化.建筑师设计了一个“屋中屋”的结构.外部是玻璃幕墙,建筑的透明度从大门到圣坛后墙逐渐递减.大门由432块蓝色玻璃格窗组成刻有圣约翰所描绘的耶稣受难文字,采用怀旧的楔形字体书写.内室由木板条围成,并通过回廊分割.木板条交错布局的方式使更强的光线射到圣坛上. 相似文献

Ventilation system design for a church pipe organ using numerical simulation and on-site measurement
Since old churches have had heating installed, more complaints have arisen of organs sounding out of tune. Sound frequency of organ pipes is dependent on air temperature. Old churches tend to have very large volumes, so are typically heated just before and during services in wintertime, in order to reduce energy usage. Warm air plumes rise at radiators and spread out into the room, finally reaching the cold organ casing where they cause a non-uniform temperature distribution within. If pipes standing in different temperature zones are played at the same time the organ sounds out of tune due to clearly audible beats (interference between two slightly different frequencies). The purpose of this study was to design a ventilation system inside the organ casing, able to create a uniform temperature distribution around the pipes. A computational fluid dynamic (CFD) model was developed for the St. Martin church in Oberesslingen, Germany. It was validated by on-site measurements that had been carried out in the organ casing of the church. Four organ divisions containing 300–500 pipes were represented by equivalent porous material zones. Their properties were determined using an auxiliary two-dimensional model of a staggered array consisting of 392 pipes. The effect of different ventilation system settings on the temperature field in the organ casing was examined. Best results were achieved by a system consisting of two ventilation lines together with a thin, synthetic net placed at the open interface between church and organ casing in order to reduce warm air inflow. 相似文献

The Michaelis church in Hildesheim – preservation of the World Cultural Heritage. The church of the former Benedictine abbey St. Michael in Hildesheim is considered as an outstanding building of the Ottonic architecture and was registered in 1985 into the list of the UNESCO for the protection of the World Cultural Heritage. The church – its foundation is dated with the year 1010 – which bishop Bernward (993–1022) let establish, and which was inaugurated by him in the year 1022 – briefly before his death –, has an interesting structural past. Ground problems with the consequence of partial collapses as well as building maintenance lacking over centuries require at present a fundamental anamnesis, evaluation of the existing state and the planning of a lasting restoration of that important Romanic church. 相似文献

AbstractThe paper explores the interplay of elaborate light and sound technologies used in the worship services of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. During the renovation and reconstruction of the church venue from former basketball stadium to church auditorium, the church hired professional companies to design and outfit the huge 16,000 seat auditorium in order to create a worship space, which simultaneously is meant to serve as a meeting space for the congregation and as an intimate place for a personal encounter with God. Worship services at Lakewood Church are multi-sensory events in which lights on the ceiling, in the auditorium, and on stage interplay with sound, vision, and space in order to structure the worship service and to mediate divine presence. The analysis is based on fieldwork data acquired on site and textual data drawn from portfolios of the technological companies involved in the reconstruction and outfitting of the church auditorium. I argue that despite the capaciousness of the space an atmosphere of intimacy is created through a specific lighting scheme that departs from traditional church lighting practices. 相似文献
