In this paper, we use modified form of Bethe's small hole coupling theory to compute equivalent circuit parameters of an aperture coupled open resonator cavity. The open resonator cavity is composed of spherical mirrors of circular cross section. The cavity is coupled to a rectangular waveguide by means of a common hole in the mirror and the shorted end wall of the rectangular waveguide. Closed form expressions have been obtained for the equivalent circuit parameters. Experiments conducted in the W-band frequency range show good agreement with theory when an experimentally estimated correction to the transmission coefficient is applied for the thickness of the coupling holes  相似文献

设计了适用于多注速调管,工作在TM310高次模圆柱形谐振腔耦合矩形波导输出回路,其工作中心频率为7 585.3 MHz,计算了腔体内各漂移管间隙阻抗的频率特性,并分析了输出回路的输出带宽.研究结果表明: 在相同频率条件下,采用圆柱形TM310工作模式的谐振腔体积将是采用圆柱形TM010工作模式谐振腔体积的7倍;TM310高次模圆柱形谐振腔耦合矩形波导后,各漂移管特性阻抗与耦合前相比有稍微变化,但耦合后各间隙特性阻抗非常接近;反射系数相位法及等效电路法计算输出腔外观品质因数分别为为154和160,输出中心频率7 585.263 MHz,比耦合前腔体谐振频率降低26.525 MHz,输出带宽约为3%,因此,该类型输出回路比较适合用作高射频段的窄带多注速调管.  相似文献

An equivalent circuit model of millimeter wave second harmonic oscillator stabilized with a transmission cavity has been proposed for constructing analytical formulations between performance parameters of the oscillator and parameters of the circuit. The model consists of an equivalent circuit of fundamental wave and that of second harmonic wave. Each of the circuits comprises circuit models of main cavity, transmission waveguide, and transmission cavity. Absorbing material placed between the transmission waveguide and the transmission cavity can suppress additional resonances originated from transmission cavity. The behavior of the second harmonic oscillator can be effectively described by the circuit model. Furthermore, based on this model, mechanical tuning characteristics have been studied at first, and then analytical formulas for quality factor and efficiency depending on circuit parameters have been derived. The circuit parameters can be conveniently extracted by electromagnetic field simulation. Hence the formulas exhibit both compact form and enough accuracy. Thereafter, general rules of performance parameters varying with circuit parameters have been deduced for the harmonic oscillators. Then some design considerations have been derived according to the corresponding analysis. The equivalent circuit model is useful for designing and adjusting millimeter wave second harmonic stabilizing oscillator with a transmission cavity.  相似文献

A rectangular coupled cavity slow wave structure is a new type of circuit for high power millimeter wave TWTs in recent years. Matching characteristics of trasition between rectangular coupled cavity and waveguide are calculated by equivalent circuit method. The results obtained by this method are compared with experiments and it is shown that useful accuracy can be obtained.  相似文献

There is a constant need for diode circuits employing rectangular waveguide. Coupling of the diode to the guide by using an inductive post is a popular method. The microwave circuit analysis of the equivalent circuit has been explored by complete theoretical analyses in the literature, but the results have been sufficiently difficult to apply that, in practice, recourse is often made to empiric characterization. This paper derives a simplified equivalent circuit based on a small perturbation approximation. The method is verified by experiment and is then used to evaluate a practical Gunn oscillator cavity.  相似文献

Suitable definitions of the elements in the equivalent circuit of a packaged diode yield a lumped-element circuit with an impedance at its terminals which is the same as the total radial-line impedance of the packaged diode with the outer surface of the diode taken as the terminal surface. Consideration of the packaged diode as a radial-line structure permits an analytical justification for the incorporation of the diode circuit with the circuits of waveguide, coaxial-line, and strip-line diode mounts. As a result, the lumped-element equivalent circuit of a packaged diode can be directly related to the microwave equivalent circuit of the diode and the mount together. Diode element values, which were obtained from low-frequency measurements, have been used in conjunction with the theoretically determined circuits of mounted diodes to predict resonant frequencies at X-band of waveguide, coaxial-line, and stripline mounts holding packaged diodes. Similarly, antiresonant frequencies of greater than 20 Gc/s have been predicted for diodes in a radial cavity. The validity of all these predictions has been verified by measurement.  相似文献

A lumped equivalent circuit is proposed to characterise the load impedance presented to a Gunn device mounted in a waveguide cavity. A novel circuit architecture which describes millimeter wave varactor-tuned Gunn oscillator stabilized with a transmission cavity has been proposed in this paper. A corresponding equivalent circuit model has been presented in order to study its performance characteristics. The circuit model consists of four parts which are varactor cavity, main cavity, transmission waveguide and transmission cavity. Based upon this model, electrical tuning characteristics have been studied at first. Mode jumping problems during electrical tuning process have been analyzed qualitatively. Moreover, quality factor and efficiency of the circuit model have been derived by virtue of relevant circuit parameters. The effects of some important circuit parameters affecting circuit performance parameters have been discussed. The circuit model can describe the circuit architecture accurately and effectively. This circuit architecture, which can generate signals exhibiting low frequency modulation noise, high frequency stabilization and electrical tunable characteristics, is applicable to various practical situations.  相似文献

An equivalent circuit is presented for the "centipede" coupled-cavity waveguide. The "centipede" waveguide, which is typical of the class of slow-wave structures suitable for use in a wide-band high-power traveling-wave tube, has two pass bands which may interact strongly with a small-diameter electron beam. The equivalent circuit is able to represent both of these pass bands. A detailed comparison with an S-band "centipede" waveguide shows that the equivalent circuit can represent the dispersion, interaction, and loss characteristics of the waveguide within a few percent.  相似文献

在HEMP(高空核电磁脉冲)平面波照射下,依据传输线理论和波导理论,结合电路原理,分别建立了HEMP在金属腔内传播时的等效电路模型和信号流图,得到了腔体各部分的等效阻抗以及HEMP 在腔体内传播过程中的传输矩阵和散射矩阵。采用了传输线法(TLM)和广义Beam-Liu-Tesche(BLT)方程法两种快速算法计算有内置薄板的开孔矩形金属腔的屏蔽效能,与仿真计算进行了对比,验证了扩展算法的准确性,并分析了内置薄板的宽度和位置对腔体屏蔽效能的影响。结果表明:两种快速算法均能准确地计算腔体的屏蔽效能;内置薄板越宽,且越靠近中央位置,腔体的屏蔽效能越高,谐振频率越大。研究所得结论可以为电子设备的HEMP防护提供重要的理论依据。  相似文献

为了解决销钉波导端口阻抗参数计算复杂问题,采用一种新的分析方法,建立单销钉波导等效电路模型,利用级联规律,在分析三销钉波导时,把3个单销钉的等效电路级联起来进行分析,从电路角度解决销钉波导问题。把通过HFSS电磁仿真软件计算的销钉波导端口的阻抗参数与通过等效电路计算的销钉波导端口阻抗参数进行对比,两者结果一致。验证了该销钉波导等效电路的正确性以及这种销钉波导的分析方法的有效性。  相似文献

An expression for the radiation admittance of an infinite planar array of rectangular waveguide apertures is formulated and a technique for finding the complete equivalent circuit of the waveguide to space junction is given. The formulation includes multiple layers of dielectric above the array ground plane and waveguide elements which are center loaded with dielectric. Given in this paper are the equivalence formulas to convert the substrate integrated rectangular waveguide (SIW) resonant cavity of cylinder sidewalls (and solid top- and bottom-walls) to its equivalent rectangular wavguide cavity of solid sidewalls. The equivalence is analytical, therefore it should be excellent as long as the radius of the cylinders and their separation are small in terms of wavelength. Two prototypes are fabricated to demonstrate the validity of the equivalence formula. Excellent agreement of the measured and analytical resonant frequencies of TE101 mode has been observed in the substrate integrated rectangular waveguide resonant cavity, indicating the accuracy of the proposed equivalence theory. Such equivalences are convenient for the design of small waveguides, of millimeter wave, in a multilayer circuit structure, such as the LTCC.  相似文献

提出并研究了一种具有准一维结构特征的新型波导功分器——H型结,在用于波导功分网络设计时可将网络结构限制在准一维方向内,以满足对紧凑性要求较高的应用场合。通过平衡激励简化求解,应用变分法提取了有限壁厚耦合缝隙的等效电路元件参数,进而完整地建立了H型结的等效电路模型。以此为基础,将等效电路法与全波分析法相结合,实现了H型结快速、精确的设计。计算与实验结果表明:混合设计方法精确高效,H型结及基于它设计的波导功分网络具有优良的性能。  相似文献

A novel band-reject element for the design of inline waveguide pseudoelliptic band-reject filters is introduced. The element consists of an offset partial-height post in a rectangular waveguide in which the dominant TE10 mode is propagating. The location of the attenuation pole is primarily determined by the height of the post that generates it. The element allows the implementation of weak, as well as strong coupling coefficients that are encountered in asymmetric band-reject responses with broad stopbands. The coupling strength is controlled by the offset of the post with respect to the center of the main waveguide. The posts are separated by uniform sections of the main waveguide. An equivalent low-pass circuit based on the extracted pole technique is first used in a preliminary design. An improved equivalent low-pass circuit that includes a more accurate equivalent circuit of the band-reject element is then introduced. A synthesis method of the enhanced network is also presented. Filters based on the introduced element are designed, fabricated, and tested. Good agreement between measured and simulated results is achieved  相似文献

提出一种爆炸激励红外脉冲强光辐射的技术途径,即用爆磁压缩装置产生的电压,电流激励聚光腔中的氙灯,再用氙灯泵浦谐振腔中的钕玻璃工作物质产生红外脉冲强光辐射,给出爆磁压缩装置的实验结果,将此结果应用于含爆磁压缩装置,电爆炸丝断路开关和电感储能脉冲功率电路的PSpice模型,计算出加在负载上的电流、电压波形,探讨爆磁压缩装置与负载电路各参数实现匹配的可能性。  相似文献
