This paper proposes a new control scheme based on a two-layer control structure to improve both the transient and steady-state responses of a closed-loop regulated pulse-width-modulated (PWM) inverter for high-quality sinusoidal AC voltage regulation. The proposed two-layer controller consists of a tracking controller and a repetitive controller. Pole assignment with state feedback has been employed in designing the tracking controller for transient response improvement, and a repetitive control scheme was developed in synthesizing the repetitive controller for steady-state response improvement. A design procedure is given for synthesizing the repetitive controller for PWM inverters to minimize periodic errors induced by rectifier-type nonlinear loads. The proposed control scheme has been realized using a single-chip digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320C14 from Texas Instruments. A 2-kVA PWM inverter has been constructed to verify the proposed control scheme. Total harmonic distortion (THD) below 1.4% for a 60-Hz output voltage under a bridge-rectifier RC load with a current crest factor of 3 has been obtained. Simulation and experimental results show that the DSP-based fully digital-controlled PWM inverter can achieve both good dynamic response and low harmonics distortion  相似文献

A new control strategy and topology for VAr compensation is presented and analyzed. It treats a three-phase power system as two energy ports and uses one single-phase bidirectional AC/AC power converter to transfer reactive energy between the two ports to produce three-phase reactive power. The compensated reactive power can be leading or lagging. Hysteresis control is investigated as a means of current modulation. The system has fast transient response capability, and one unit of AC/AC converter power generates 2.412 units of reactive power. This letter studies and analyzes the working features of main circuit of tri-level boost Power Factor Correct (PFC) converter and the advantages of tri-level switch converter in aspects of bearing high-voltage of power components, overall system loss and magnetic component selection based upon the single-level boost PFC switch converter. Besides, relying on the application of microprocessor in power converter technology and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chip's strong calculating capacity, the letter presents the adoption of modified scheme of tri-level boost PFC converter under the control of predictive control algorithm. Moreover, the operating principle and control method are specified, the results of circuit test and analysis are provided and the advantages of predictive control technology-based multi-level boost PFC converter is verified.  相似文献

This paper investigates the control of a single-phase three-leg ac/ac reversible converter in which a leg is shared by both the grid and the load side. Pulsewidth-modulation (PWM) techniques based on scalar and vector approaches are developed, introducing the concept of local and general apportioning factor and, also, a complete equivalence between scalar and space vector PWM. A hysteresis current controller capable of taking into account the shared leg is developed and a zero current error linear controller is presented. Furthermore, a control strategy to obtain maximum utilization of the dc-bus voltage is proposed. In addition, several relevant characteristics of the converter are addressed, such as voltage rating, harmonic distortion, shared leg and capacitor currents, and power rating. The converter is compared to four-leg and two-leg converters. Experimental results are presented.  相似文献

With the increased availability of power MOSFETs and insulated gate bipolar transistors, a new generation of simple choppers for AC inductive loads is foreseen. These new power semiconductors ease the use of forced commutations of thyristor switches to improve the supply power factor, even with highly inductive loads. The AC controllers with thyristor technology can be replaced by pulsewidth modulation (PWM) AC chopper controllers which have important advantages. In this paper, a symmetrical PWM AC chopper designed to operate with single-phase inductive loads with a reduced number of controlled switches is described. The operation as a variable voltage source of this converter is evaluated. This includes the conversion characteristics, harmonic generation, harmonic distortion factor, and input power factor. By digital simulation, these characteristics are investigated theoretically, and to correlate the measurements with theory, an experimental setup is presented to confirm the analytical analysis  相似文献

设计了实现了一种基于MSP430F2002的数字式单相正弦波变频电源,文中对其软硬件设计、器件参数计算以及设计、测试过程进行了详细的描述.该变频电源的供电电源为36V蓄电池,由MSP430F2002完成了SPWM信号产生、电压幅度和频率调制的功能,经单相逆变电路和LC滤波电路得到电压幅度在0V到30V、频率在1Hz到70Hz之间可调、最大负载电流为1A的正弦交流输出信号,可满足过套管电阻率测井仪器的现场需求,测试结果表明使用MSP430F单片机是实现低功耗、低成本、高可靠性仪器设计的最佳选择.  相似文献

In this paper, a high-performance single-phase AC-to-DC rectifier with input power factor correction is proposed. The proposed approach has many advantages, including fewer semiconductor components, simplified control, and high-performance features, and satisfies IEC 555 harmonic current standards. Solid-state switch-mode rectification converters have reached a matured level for improving power quality in terms of power-factor correction (PFC), reduced total harmonic distortion at input AC mains and precisely regulated DC output in buck, boost, buck-boost and multilevel modes with unidirectional and bidirectional power flow. This paper deals with a comprehensive review of improved power quality converters (IPQCs) configurations, control approaches, design features, selection of components, other related considerations, and their suitability and selection for specific applications. It is targeted to provide a wide spectrum on the status of IPQC technology to researchers, designers and application engineers working on switched-mode AC-DC converters. DFT/FFT是进行谐波检测的有效方法,其算法简单,易于实现。在改进DFT算法的基础上,利用CCS仿真与硬件DSP相结合的方式验证算法,通过将加窗插值FFT算法与改进DFT算法进行对比对数据进行分析,比较各次谐波幅值、相位以及频率的误差。利用信号发生器产生三角波进行DSP硬件测试,分析两种算法在通过数据采集、A/D转换后受到的精度影响,验证算法的实时性、准确性和稳定性。最终分析出在非同步采样时,改进DFT算法具有较高的检测精度,而加窗插值FFT算法实时性比较好。  相似文献

Nowadays, DC uninterruptible power supply (DC-UPS) systems are becoming a reliable solution in order to improve the efficiency in switch-mode power supplies. An important challenge in the incorporation of power factor correction and fast dynamic output response is low-cost power electronic hardware. This paper describes a novel and simple DC-UPS structure, which offers excellent characteristics in terms of cost, size, and efficiency, taking into account a reduced number of power semiconductors. A complete analysis and design considerations are presented in such a way that the previously-mentioned characteristics are achieved. It is shown that the resolution of the high-frequency input current of the series-resonant converter leads to the possibility of accurately controlling the waveform of the source current. In combination with the accurate positioning of the high-frequency current pulses, it is possible to influence the exchange of power with the source by introducing active filtering. A power factor equal to one would lead to optimal operation. However, the zero crossing of the AC source voltage, introduces the need to store energy. Bulky low-frequency storage elements increase the specific volume and weight of the converter, while the exchange of energy with storage elements decreases the overall efficiency. The energy stored in the resonant circuit is fundamentally too low to solve this problem. The stored energy in the output capacitor necessary to decrease the high-frequency ripple voltage is available for these purposes. This paper presents an active power filter based on a digital signal processing (DSP) controller with enhanced current control performance. A novel predictive current control method is introduced to compensate the phase error of harmonic components caused by discrete sampling and finite nonnegligible execution time delay. The concept of average current control is also introduced that is adequate for digital current control. With a close coordination between the reference current prediction, PWM pattern generation, and control timing, a high performance control is achieved. In this paper, analysis and design for a single-phase active power filter (APF) with one-cycle control is presented. The proposed control method eliminates the need of sensing the load current, a nontrivial task of calculating the harmonics and reactive current components, as well as the use of multipliers, as reported by many previously reported approaches. In addition, the switching loss is reduced by employing unipolar operation, where only two out of four switches are operated at switching frequency while the other two are stationary on or off during an entire half-line cycle. The design methodology taking electromagnetic interference filter into account is also discussed in detail. The theoretical analysis is verified by experiments.  相似文献

One effect of the second-harmonic in the load-side current ripple of a single-phase AC/DC converter is to introduce an unwanted third-harmonic into the supply-side current. Although this can be neither eliminated nor reduced by either conventional selective harmonic or natural sinusoidal PWM strategies, it is shown that the use of a modified switching function in the selective strategy enables a considerable reduction to be achieved. Possible applications for the new strategy include single-phase AC/DC converter-fed DC drives and converters providing a DClink for inverter-fed DC drives.  相似文献

For many applications, existing phased arrays prove to be costly, bulky and not flexible enough to meet operational requirements. This explains the present trends towards monolithic array design; integration of microwave front end; and beam-forming by using digital signal processing (DSP) techniques.
