A poly(azulene)-TiO2 composite film (PAz-TiO2) was synthesized electrochemically by oxidation of azulene in an electrolyte medium containing TiO2 nanoparticles. Polymerization was performed under magnetic stirring in an acetonitrile solution containing tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate as the electrolyte salt. Influence of the concentration of TiO2 in the reaction suspension on the electrochemical and optical properties and on the structure of the composite films was studied by cyclic voltammetry, ex situ Raman and FTIR reflection spectroscopy and in situ UV–vis and FTIR spectroelectrochemical techniques. Morphology of the composite films was studied by Scanning Electron Microscopy and the amount and distribution of the TiO2 nanoparticles within the polymeric matrix by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry with laser ablation. Addition of TiO2 in the reaction suspension had a small catalytic activity for the polymerization of Az. Inclusion of TiO2 nanoparticles in PAz did not affect the voltammetric behavior or the chemical structure of the formed polymer films. However, a different chain conformation and morphology of the film was formed when synthesized in presence of TiO2 compared to the plain PAz film. It was also found that the film morphology was more homogeneous when the concentration of TiO2 was ≥10 mM in the polymerization solution than films polymerized without any TiO2.  相似文献

Uniform TiO2/SiO2 composite films were prepared on ITO substrates by electrodeposition, and highly photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) activity of the composite films was observed toward the degradation of methyl orange (MO) in aqueous solutions. It was further found that their PEC activity was dependent on the electrodeposition parameters including deposition time, solution pH and SiO2 content. Under the optimized condition, the PEC degradation of MO on TiO2/SiO2 composite film electrode could be enhanced about 14 times relative to that on neat TiO2 film electrode. The high PEC activity of the TiO2/SiO2 composite film electrode was mainly attributed to the enhancement of the charge separation of photo-generated electron-hole pairs by the dispersion of SiO2 nanoparticles in the TiO2 matrix with the aid of the applied electric field.  相似文献

TiO2/MoS2 composite was encapsulated by hydrophobic SiO2 nanoparticles using a sol–gel hydrothermal method with methyltriethoxysilane (MTES), titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4), and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as raw materials. Then, a novel dual functional composite film with hydrophobicity and photocatalytic activity was fabricated on a glass substrates via the combination of polydimethylsiloxane adhesives and hydrophobic SiO2@(TiO2/MoS2) composite particles. The influence of the mole ratios of MTES to TiO2/MoS2 (M:T) on the wettability and photocatalytic activity of the composite film was discussed. The surface morphology, chemical compositions, and hydrophobicity of the composite film on the glass substrate were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and water contact angle (water CA) measurements. The results indicated that the composite film exhibited stable superhydrophobicity and excellent photocatalytic activity for degradation of methyl orange (MO) even after five continuous cycles of photocatalytic reaction when M/T was 7:1. The water CA and degradation efficiency for MO remained at 154° and 94%, respectively. Further, the composite film showed a good non-sticking characteristic with the water sliding angle (SA) at about 4°. The SiO2@(TiO2/MoS2) composite consisting of hydrophobic SiO2 nanoparticles and TiO2/MoS2 heterostructure could provide synergistic effects for maintaining long-term self-cleaning performance.  相似文献

In this study, innovative TiO2/Al2O3 mono/multilayers were applied by atomic layer depositions (ALD) on ASTM-AZ-31 magnesium/aluminum alloy to enhance its well-known scarce corrosion resistance. Four different configurations of ALD layers were tested: single TiO2 layer, single Al2O3 layer, Al2O3/TiO2 bilayer and Al2O3/TiO2/Al2O3/TiO2 multilayer deposited using Al[(CH3)]3 (trimethylaluminum, TMA), and TiCl4 and H2O precursors. All depositions were performed at 120°C to obtain an amorphous-like structure of both oxide layers. The four coatings were then investigated using different techniques, such as scanning electron microscope (SEM), stylus profilometer, glow discharge optical emission spectrometry (GDOES) and polarization curves in 0.05-M NaCl solution. The thickness of all the coatings was around 100 nm. The layers compositions were successfully investigated by the GDOES technique, although obtained data seem to be affected by substrate roughness and differences in sputtering rates between ceramic oxides and metallic magnesium alloy. Corrosion resistance showed to be strongly enhanced by the nanometric coatings, giving lower corrosion current densities in 0.05-M NaCl media with respect to the uncoated substrate (from 10−4 to 10−6 A/cm2 for the single layers and from 10−4 to 10−8 A/cm2 for the bi- and multilayers). All polarization curves on coated samples also showed a passive region, wider for the bi-layer (from −0.58 to −0.43 V with respect to Ag/AgCl) and multilayer (from −0.53 to −0.38 V with respect to Ag/AgCl) structures.  相似文献

Specimens of composite (BeO + TiO2) ceramics with TiO2 added in an amount of 5, 10, 20, 30, and 40 mass% are obtained. The temperature dependence of the conductivity of the (BeO + 30 mass % TiO2) ceramics is studied. Conduction is ensured by the titania additive present in the ceramics in a strongly reduced state. The maximum temperature (950 K) at which the (BeO + 30 mass % TiO2) ceramics preserves its conductive properties in air for a long time and, possibly, the capacity to efficiently absorb microwave radiation is determined. Heating in air at a temperature exceeding 960 K is accompanied by the processes of oxidation of reduced TiO2, which causes disordering of the structure and lowering of the conductivity. An electron microscope study is used to show that the distribution of TiO2 in the BeO of the [BeO + (5, 10, and 30 mass %) TiO2] system is nonuniform; inclusions of large regions of grouped TiO2 microcrystals are encountered. This affects the physicochemical properties of the ceramics, the thermal and electrical conductivities in particular. In order to ensure a uniform distribution of TiO2 in the volume of the ceramics it is recommended to introduce the dioxide into the composition of the BeO powder from solutions (hydrochemical method). __________ Translated from Novye Ogneupory, No. 11, pp. 68–74, November, 2007.  相似文献

The hydrolysis of titanium(IV) sulfate during boiling in the presence of silica gel particles is considered. The scenario of solid-phase formation involves the sedimentation of hydrated titanium(IV) onto reactive silica gel particles; and individual phases of silicon(IV) and titanium(IV) hydroxides are formed. The quantitative ratio between the phases of the hydrated composition dictates the properties of its thermolysis products. Composition-property diagrams are plotted to determine the optimum parameters at which the titanium silicate product has high pigment properties.  相似文献

The composite semiconductor photocatalyst TiO2/SiO2 was prepared by template-hydrothermal method using carbon spheres as the template. The structural and optical properties of TiO2/SiO2 were characterized by XRD, SEM, BET, UV–Vis DRS, TG-DTA, PL techniques. The formation of hydroxyl radical on the surface of TiO2/SiO2 was studied with terephthalic acid as the probe molecule, combined with fluorescence technique. The results showed that the specific surface area of TiO2/SiO2 composite was 327.9 m2/g, and the specific surface area of TiO2/SiO2 was larger than that of pure TiO2. Photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B showed that TiO2/SiO2 composite oxide under visible light illumination 40 min, the degradation rate was 98.6 % and the degradation rate of pure TiO2 was only 11.9 %. The apparent first-order rate constant of TiO2/SiO2 was 33 times that of pure TiO2 and more than 6 times that of P25 when the molar ratio of Ti to Si was 1:1 under visible light irradiation. Moreover, it’s also as much as 5 times that of pure TiO2 and is more than 1 times that of P25 under UV light irradiation 25 min. Based on the experimental results, ·O2 ? and h+ were suggested to be the major active species which was responsible for the degradation reaction. The increased photocatalytic activity of TiO2/SiO2 may be mainly attributed to effectively suppressing the recombination of hole/electron pairs. After the photocatalyst TiO2/SiO2 was reused 5 times, the degradation rate of rhodamine B could reach 89.2 % under visible light irradiation. Moreover, The composite semiconductor photocatalyst TiO2/SiO2 was selective towards the degradation of rhodamine B.  相似文献

Ordered hexagonal mesoporous TiO2 thin film was prepared by the evaporation-induced self-assembly (EISA) method using triblock copolymer (Pluronic P123) and tetrabutyl orthotitanate (Ti(OBu n )4, TBOT) in 1-methoxy-2-propanol (C4H10O2, PGME) solvent. The arrangement of mesopores was identified by small-angle X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The well-ordered hexagonal mesoporous TiO2 had a high specific surface area of 239 m2/g and an average pore size of 6.3 nm. The structure of mesoporous TiO2 thin film was anatase with a 5.1 nm crystallite. The absorption band shift of the mesoporous TiO2 toward longer wavelengths as calcined at 350 °C due to the residual carbon.  相似文献

Thin film optics, based on light interference characteristics, are attracting increasing interest because of their ability to enable a functional color coating for various applications in optical, electronic, and solar industries. Here, we report on the dependence of coloring characteristics on single-layer TiO2 thicknesses and alternating TiO2/Al2O3 multilayer structures prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD) at a low growth temperature. The ALD TiO2 and Al2O3 thin films were studied at a low growth temperature of 80°C. Then, the coloring features in the single-layer TiO2 and alternating TiO2/Al2O3 multilayers using both the ALD processes were experimentally examined on a TiN/cut stainless steel sheet. The Essential Macleod software was used to estimate and compare the color coating results. The simulation results revealed that five different colors of the single TiO2 layers were shown experimentally, depending on the film thickness. For the purpose of highly uniform pink color coating, the film structures of TiO2/Al2O3 multilayers were designed in advance. It was experimentally demonstrated that the evaluated colors corresponded well with the simulated color spectrum results, exhibiting a uniform pink color with wide incident angles ranging from 0° to 75°. This article advances practical applications requiring highly uniform color coatings of surfaces in a variety of optical coating areas with complex topographical structures.  相似文献

Mesoporous anatase TiO2-pillared titanate has been successfully prepared by the exfoliation-restacking route. The resulting nanocomposite was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, thermogravimetric analysis, IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy, specific surface area and porosity measurements. It was revealed that the present nanocomposite exhibits greatly expanded specific surface area (~200 m2 g−1) with 2.8- and 6.6-nm-in-diameter mesopore structure, and that there exists an electronic coupling between the host titanate sheets and the guest anatase TiO2 nanoparticles in the pillared system. The results of degradation of methylene blue under ultraviolet and visible radiation show that the present nanocomposite exhibits much higher photocatalytic activities than that of TiO2 nanoparticles or layered titanate alone, which are based on the bandgap excitation and the dye sensitization.  相似文献

The high-k dielectric TiO2/ZrO2 bilayer composite film was prepared on a Si substrate by radio frequency magnetron sputtering and post annealing in N2 at various temperatures in the range of 573 K to 973 K. Transmission electron microscopy observation revealed that the bilayer film fully mixed together and had good interfacial property at 773 K. Metal-oxide-semiconductor capacitors with high-k gate dielectric TiO2/ZrO2/p-Si were fabricated using Pt as the top gate electrode and as the bottom side electrode. The largest property permittivity of 46.1 and a very low leakage current density of 3.35 × 10-5 A/cm2 were achieved for the sample of TiO2/ZrO2/Si after annealing at 773 K.  相似文献

This study investigated the removal of ammonia in wastewater by an electrochemical method using titanium electrodes coated with ruthenium and iridium (RuO2–IrO2–TiO2/Ti) with low chlorine evolution over-voltage. The effects of operating parameters, including chloride ion concentration, current density and initial pH, were also investigated. The results were evaluated primarily by considering the efficiency of the elimination of NH4+-N. The removal of ammonia by electrochemical oxidation mainly resulted from the indirect oxidation effect of chlorine/hypochlorite produced during electrolysis. The direct anodic oxidation efficiency of ammonia was less than 5%, and the current efficiency was less than 10%. The ammonia removal followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. The electrochemical process can be applied successfully as a final polishing step, or as an alternative method to biological nitrification. The process seems to be most beneficial for small coastal cities  相似文献

A fast and reliable synthetic route for preparing contaminant-free porous TiO2 with a wormhole-like framework and close packed macropores is demonstrated based on a sol-gel process involving acid hydrolysis of an alkoxide in the presence of a cationic surfactant. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements have been used to characterize the porous structure and the crystallinity. The XRD patterns, TEM and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images confirm that these materials have disordered wormhole-like topology with close-packed nearly hexagonal macropores. The mesopore diameters and surface area of titanium dioxide, evaluated from the N2-sorption isotherms, indicate average pore diameters of about 7 and 6 nm and surface areas of about 100 and 335 m2/g, for as-prepared and calcined samples at 400°C.  相似文献

TiO2-Al2O3 mixed oxides with different compositions ranging from 40wt-% to 95wt-% of TiO2 were prepared by sol-gel method and impregnated with different amounts of VO x . Supports and catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), physisorption, temperature preprogrammed reduction (H2-TPR), and ammonia temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD). TiO2 content in the support had obvious effect on the crystal structure, texture characteristic, acid property, and catalytic activity in dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene (EB) with carbon dioxide. The highest catalytic activity was acquired when the TiO2 content was 50 wt-%.  相似文献

The electrochemical ion-exchange properties of RuO2–TiO2 film electrodes with different composition have been studied in acidic and alkaline media. Thallium-cation uptake has been observed only from the latter and its extent was found to be a function of electrode potential and composition. At potentials near 0.0 V (RHE), the amount of adsorbed Tl+ exhibited a maximum, and decreased with increasing potential, reaching a broad minimum in the range 0.4–0.8 V. A further increase in the electrode potential, above about 1.0 V, led to an increase of adsorbed thallium species, essentially due to deposition of a few layers of Tl(III) hydroxide. In fact, the release of the latter species was found to be much slower than that of thallium ions adsorbed at 0.0 V. For the latter, in turn, the double injection/ejection mechanism, currently accepted to explain the charge-storage in oxide electrodes, seems to be confirmed. The high Γ values attained at 0.0 V indicate that the large ionic radius of Tl+ does not prevent its diffusion through the thinner pore texture of the oxide coatings, possibly because of its poor hydration, related with lower charge density at the ion surfaces.  相似文献

Pt-(CdS/TiO2) film-typed photocatalysts are prepared with a doctor-blade method followed by a chemical bath deposition (CBD) process, and the films are characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The film-typed structure is composed of photocatalysts and Pt metal part on a FTO substrate without additional electric device, so it is relatively simpler than the conventional photoelectrochemical cell. CdS quantum dots are introduced as a sensitizer for visible light response. Amounts of CdS quantum dots on TiO2 surface are increased with increasing CBD cycles, but they start to aggregate after certain CdS concentration due to oversaturation phenomenon. This high CdS content induces high electron losses, and therefore it reduces amounts of hydrogen production. As a result, there is a saturation point of CdS content at Cd/Ti ratio of 0.197, and the amounts of evolved hydrogen are 5.407 μmol/cm2·h at this photocatalyst formulation.  相似文献

Single-crystalline nanoporous Nb2O5 nanotubes were fabricated by a two-step solution route, the growth of uniform single-crystalline Nb2O5 nanorods and the following ion-assisted selective dissolution along the [001] direction. Nb2O5 tubular structure was created by preferentially etching (001) crystallographic planes, which has a nearly homogeneous diameter and length. Dense nanopores with the diameters of several nanometers were created on the shell of Nb2O5 tubular structures, which can also retain the crystallographic orientation of Nb2O5 precursor nanorods. The present chemical etching strategy is versatile and can be extended to different-sized nanorod precursors. Furthermore, these as-obtained nanorod precursors and nanotube products can also be used as template for the fabrication of 1 D nanostructured niobates, such as LiNbO3, NaNbO3, and KNbO3.  相似文献
