A novel dual-frequency monopole antenna, with a low profile and also with a small transverse size, is proposed. Firstly, by investigating and utilising a taper meander line antenna with a very large vertex angle, the antenna height is reduced to 15 mm. Secondly, by wrapping it in a box-like structure, the antenna transverse width is reduced to 12 mm. Thirdly, by introducing another geometrically complementary meander line branch, the second resonant mode is enhanced. Finally an antenna with dimensions of 15/spl times/12/spl times/7 mm is designed, and good impedance bandwidth performance for GSM (890-960 MHz) and DCS (1710-1880 MHz) bands is observed.  相似文献

A novel planar meander sleeve monopole antenna for digital video broadcasting-hand held (DVB-H) and GSM mobile handsets is presented. By using the planar sleeve monopole type radiating element constructed with meander strips, the antenna provides a degree of miniaturisation while retaining a wide bandwidth covering the DVB-H and GSM-900 bands. A prototype is constructed and tested, which shows that an impedance bandwidth of 498 MHz (463-961 MHz) within 2.5:1 VSWR is achieved.  相似文献

A novel side-feed planar monopole antenna capable of triple-frequency operation at about 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz is presented. The planar monopole antenna occupies a small area of 6/spl times/31 mm, and is easily made using thin copper. The planar monopole antenna can be side-fed and mounted perpendicularly to the main circuit board of a communication device so that it offers a novel design with a free degree of feed point so as to save device space, resulting in a low profile to the system ground plane. In addition, the obtained impedance bandwidths of the proposed antenna at about 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz can cover the GSM (890-960 MHz), DCS (1710-1880 MHz) and PCS (1850-1990 MHz) bands.  相似文献

The authors compare the operating characteristics of a compact flat plate antenna with those of a classical quarter-wavelength monopole for portable telephone applications. A broadband dual frequency sleeve monopole antenna for application in digital television (DTV) systems and global system for mobile communications (GSM) is presented. A parasitic inverted L-shaped strip and dual planar sleeve structure are introduced in the back ground plane for expanding the frequency band. The simulated and measured results show that the impedance bandwidth covers the DTV (470? 862 MHz) band and GSM (824?960 and 1710?2170 MHz) band with VSWR less than 2.5. A triple-band coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed LI-shaped monopole antenna is proposed. The antenna is composed of an I-shaped monopole and a meandered L-shaped one. The dimensions of the design are 29 times 28 mm which are 0.077 lambda times 0.075 lambda in terms of the lowest operating frequency of 800 MHz. The antenna operation presents attractive characteristics, each monopole is independently optimised to the resonant frequency and the impedance bandwidth without affecting those of other bands. The antenna shows improved radiation efficiency of individual monopoles for a global system for mobile communication, personal communication systems, digital communication systems, and wireless code division multiple access applications.  相似文献

A novel planar monopole antenna is proposed. It has a very low profile (antenna height less than 0.04 times the operating wavelength in free space) and is capable of multiband operation. The proposed antenna has a planar rectangular radiating patch in which a folded slit is inserted at the patch's bottom edge. The folded slit separates the rectangular patch into two subpatches, one smaller inner subpatch encircled by the larger outer one. The proposed antenna is then operated with the inner subpatch resonating as a quarter-wavelength structure and the outer one resonating as both a quarter-wavelength and a half-wavelength structure. The proposed antenna, 12 mm high and 30 mm wide, has been constructed, and the obtained bandwidths cover the global system for mobile communication (890-960 MHz), digital communication system (1710-1880 MHz), personal communication system (1850-1990 MHz), and universal mobile telecommunication system (1920-2170 MHz) bands. Details of the proposed design and obtained experimental results are presented and discussed.  相似文献

A compact dual-band planar inverted F antenna suitable for the application as a global system for mobile communication/digital communication system (GSM/DCS) dual-band mobile phone internal antenna is proposed and implemented. The proposed antenna has three resonant elements, two meandered metallic strips of slightly different lengths and one nearly-rectangular patch, which are printed on a supporting FR4 substrate and arranged in a compact configuration. These three resonant elements share a common shorting pin, and for the GSM (890-960 MHz) operation, the proposed antenna is operated with the two meandered strips both resonated as a quarter-wavelength structure, leading to a wide bandwidth formed by two resonant modes. For the upper band of the proposed antenna, three resonant modes are generated, two from the second higher-order modes of the two meandered strips and one from the nearly-rectangular patch, leading to a wide bandwidth covering the DCS band (1710-1880 MHz). A compact dual band planar antenna for a digital communication system (DCS)/2.4-GHz WLAN application is presented. The two resonant modes of the proposed antenna are associated with various length of the monopoles, in which a longer arm contributes for the lower resonant frequency and a shorter arm for higher resonant frequency. The experimental results show that the designed antenna can provide excellent performance for DCS/2.4-GHz WLAN systems, including sufficiently wide frequency band, moderate gain, and nearly omnidirectional radiation coverage. The outcome of the experimental results along with the design criteria are presented in this letter.  相似文献

提出了一种应用于WLAN/WiMAX的新颖的多分枝单极天线,天线有三个分枝,结构紧凑,其大小为26mm×24mm×1.6mm,加工出了天线并进行测试,测试结果表明天线具有良好的双波段工作特性,|S11|≤-10dB时对应中心频率2.47GHz和4.825GHz处带宽分别达4%和62.4%,覆盖WLAN的2.4/5.2/5.8GHz频段及WiMAX的3.5/5.5GHz频段,同时采用了接地板开槽技术以调整带宽,天线在上述频段有近似于全向辐射方向图。  相似文献

A multi-band monopole antenna with wideband characteristic is proposed for DVB-H/DCS1800/PCS1900/IMT2000/Wibro/WLAN/ S-DMB applications. By using a meander structure and tapered feeding line, wideband characteristic can be achieved. The proposed antenna has an omnidirectional radiation pattern and yields greater than -4 dBi of antenna gain at the DVB-H band and 3 dBi for high- band, respectively.  相似文献

The design of several two-port antenna systems for mobile phones is presented. All these structures are made up of two planar inverted-F antennas closely positioned on a small ground plane and radiating in the GSM900/DCS1800 and UMTS frequency bands. First, the antennas are simply associated at the top edge of the same printed circuit board. Thus, to improve their isolation and their total efficiency, a neutralisation effect is created by means of an optimised suspended line, which links the feeding strips of the radiators. 针对传统切换式多馈源的低剖面反射面天线结构复杂,不能多频段同时工作的问题,介绍了一款四波段单馈源低剖面环焦反射面天线及设计方法。该天线工作在四波段14~14.5 GHz, 11.45~12.75 GHz,19.6~21.2 GHz,29.4~31 GHz。整体天线采用双槽深波纹喇叭单馈源、通过口面场分布和多项式拟合过渡函数的方法构造的赋形副反射面和主反射面。用电磁仿真软件进行了建模仿真和验证。实测结果表明,整体天线较传统天线的效率提高12%以上,第一旁瓣<-14 dB,指标满足设计要求。  相似文献

A novel asymmetric fork-like monopole antenna for digital video broadcasting-terrestrial (DVB-T) signal reception for application in the UHF band is presented. The proposed antenna consists of two two-branch strip monopoles on a rectangular ground plane with a concave. The concavity in the ground pattern serves as an effective means for the gap between the radiating element and the ground plane for impedance matching. The influence of various parameters on antenna characteristics has been investigated. Results show a wide bandwidth of 461 MHz (451?912 MHz) or 70% of DVB-T centred frequency (655 MHz). The proposed antenna has omnidirectional radiation patterns in the yz-plane. Details of the proposed antenna design and experimental results of the constructed prototypes are presented.  相似文献
