对普通的桌面用户来说，17英寸的液晶显示器就可以提供足够的分辨率和显示面积，但是很多专业应用领域会需要更大显示面积和更高的分辨率。要不是价格太高，我们相信电脑发烧友也不会拒绝购买更大的显示器。BenQ最近推出了多款从19英寸到23英寸的高端LCD显示器，可以满足这些高端用户的需要，《个人电脑》实验室测试了其中的FP231W和FP2091。

在经历了一段时间的低谷之后，液晶显示器市场已经开始复苏，与上一次市场高峰不太一样的是，更多的17、19英寸甚至更大尺寸的液晶显示器逐渐成为市场上的生力军。在本刊上期杂志中，我们曾经介绍了多款17英寸及更大尺寸的液晶显示器，在本期杂志中我们继续介绍一款19英寸的液晶显示器。     

Experiments in optimizing FP

FPOPT, a globally optimizing compiler for FP, was built to study the efficiency of compiling a functional programming language by translating it into an intermediate language and then optimizing that intermediate language. The FPOPT system, the design of the intermediate language and the optimizations performed are described. The relative effectiveness of these optimizations, singly and in combinations, are compared using an instrumented version of FPOPT.<>     

A Data-Parallel FP Compiler

In data-parallel programming, operations are performed simultaneously on all elements of large data structures. Backus′s FP functional language promotes this view. FP provides a large set of data rearrangement primitives, and a useful set of functional combining forms that are applied to entire data structures. We describe an FP compiler that generates programs capable of exploiting data-parallelism. The FP compiler deduces the type and shape of objects through type inference, and generates efficient parallel implementations of combining forms. In addition, the compiler determines the effects of data rearrangement functions at compile-time, thereby avoiding creation of large intermediate data structures, and reducing interprocessor communication overhead. FP and its compiler are formally specified, reducing ambiguity concerning constructs of the language and results of the compiler. Performance and speed-ups achieved from our compilation and optimization techniques are demonstrated with timings from a prototype implementation on the Connection Machine CM-2.

明基FP71V是一款新发布的17英寸液晶产品,其银色窄边外形与原先的几款型号基本一致。它的最大不同就是通过BenQ自己研发的AMA疾彩引擎,使灰阶响应速度提升到了4ms的新水平,可以说是专门针对游戏发烧友设计。另外,FP71V也通过了苛刻的TCO03认证。这款显示器支持Sub和DVI双路输入,并且集成音箱。OSD按键都被隐藏在了面板下方,只是按键之间的间隔比较近,操作起来会有些不便。按键中专门设计了用于调节音量大小的快捷键,左侧还有用于连接耳机的插孔。通过模式调节快捷键,用户还可以迅速地选择适合当前应用的显示设定。需要指出的是灰阶…     

Systems Programming in the Functional Language FP

The development of systems software in functional programming language is still an open problem.This paper describes a preliminary experiment with systems programming in Backus' FP systems.Itconsists of two systems programs.One is a self-compiler of FP,the other an interpreter of the semantics ofFFP(Formal Functional Programming).Both were implemented on an FP machine——FPM2.Somediscussions are made finally.     

Full Abstraction and Expressive Completeness for FP

We consider issues related to the expressive power of the programming language FP. In particular, we consider whether a number of variants of FP are fully abstract and expressively complete. For example, we show that a version of FP with only one-sided sequences behave similarly to PCF in that the addition of parallel or is sufficient to make it fully abstract. However, the addition of parallel or to FP (with its two-sided infinite sequences) is not sufficient to achieve full abstraction. By considering these and other variants, we obtain a better understanding of what is required of a language and semantics in order to guarantee full abstraction and expressive completeness.     

改进的FP学习和综合方法

对FP算法进行了改进.首先对“共同特征位”进行了优化处理,其次对x⁰样本的选取进行优化,最后,对阈值设计进行优化处理.经过优化后的样本吸引域明显地较为均匀,模拟实验数据也证明了这一点.     

基于SEE4FP组件的电子邮件系统

根据第三方组件SEE4FP,利用VFP创建Internet电子邮件客户端软件,以实现电子邮件的收发,为以后的信息管理系统提供方便,同时也为其他编程语言如C＋＋,DELPHI,VB,FORTRAN编写电子邮件客户端软件提供思路。     

函数式语言FP中并行的开发和控制

函数式语言的突出特点是特别适合于并行处理.本文着重讨论函数式语言——FP在多处理机系统中并行实现的方法.文中的FP语言是在John Backus’FP的基础上增加了流的功能和类型定义.在[1,2]原有的理论基础上,提出了一个改进的结合LE计值语义的多步向前驱动法.LE计值中由于引进了延迟对象,使得延迟计值统一为函数对对象的作用,因而简化了编译系统的代码生成.多步向前驱动法是一种结合需求驱动和数据驱动的方法,该方法在开发了尽可能多的并行的同时,又保证了程序并行归约的终止性.根据这些方法,一分布式内存的多处理机软件模拟系统已在MIC-VAX Ⅱ上实现.文中最后给出了一些实验数据,这些数据有力地证明了多步向前驱动法的有效性,从而揭示了函数式语言并行处理是一非常有发展前途的研究方向.
