This paper presents an efficient dynamic spectrum allocation (DSA) scheme in a flexible spectrum licensing environment where multiple networks coexist and interfere with each other. In particular, an extension of virtual boundary concept in DSA is proposed, which is spectrally efficient than the previous virtual boundary concept applied to donor systems only. Here, the same technique is applied to both donor and rental systems so as to further reduce the occurrences where the insertion of guard bands is obligatory and as a result provides better spectral efficiency. The proposed extension improves the spectrum utilization without any compromise on interference and fairness issues.  相似文献

Breast cancer is a serious public health problem in several countries. Computer-aided detection/diagnosis systems (CAD/CADx) have been used with relative success in aid of health care professionals. The goal of such systems is not to replace the professionals, but to join forces in order to detect the different types of cancer at an early stage. The main contribution of this work is the presentation of a methodology for detecting masses in digitized mammograms using the growing neural gas algorithm for image segmentation and Ripley’s K function to describe the texture of segmented structures. The classification of these structures is accomplished through support vector machines which separate them in two groups, using shape and texture measures: masses and non-masses. The methodology obtained 89.30% of accuracy and a rate of 0.93 false positives per image.  相似文献

Transform coding has been widely used in video coding standards, such as H.264 advanced video coding (H.264/AVC) and high efficiency video coding (HEVC). But the coded video sequences suffer from annoying coding artifacts, such as blocking and ringing artifacts. In this paper, we propose the quadtree-based non-local Kuan’s (QNLK) filter to suppress the quantization noise optimally and improve the objective and subjective quality of the reconstructed frame simultaneously. The proposed filter takes advantage of the non-local Kuan’s (NLK) filter to restore the quantized signal in transform domain. Restored coefficients are then projected onto designed quantization constraint sets (QCS). Quadtree-based signaling strategy is used at the end of QNLK for adaptive filtering on/off control. Experimental results of QNLK show that the proposed method achieves significant objective coding gain and visual quality improvement, compared with both H.264/AVC high profile and HEVC.  相似文献

We consider a singularly perturbed system of differential equations of the form ε u′=g(u,v,λ), v′=f(u,v,λ), where (u,v)∈R 3, 0<ε?1, and λ is a set of parameters. Such a system describes a modified Chua’s circuit with mixed-mode oscillations (MMOs). MMOs consist of a series of small-amplitude oscillations (canard solutions) and large-amplitude relaxations. In the paper we provide a series of both numerical and analytical analyses of the singularly perturbed system for the modified Chua’s circuit with nonlinear f and g. In particular, we analyze the occurrence of the Farey sequence $\it L^{s}$ , where $\it L$ and $\it s$ are the numbers of large and small oscillations, respectively.  相似文献

To reduce the electrothermal instabilities in silicon-on-glass high-frequency bipolar devices, the integration of thin-film aluminum nitride as a heatspreader is studied. The AlN is deposited by reactive sputtering and this material is shown to fulfill all the requirements for actively draining heat from RF IC’s, i.e., it has good process compatibility, sufficiently high thermal conductivity and good electrical isolation also at high frequencies. The residual stress and the piezoelectric character of the material, both of which can be detrimental for the present application, are minimized by a suitable choice of deposition conditions including variable biasing of the substrate in a multistep deposition cycle. Films of AlN as thick as 4 μm are successfully integrated in RF silicon-on-glass bipolar junction transistors that display a reduction of more than 70% in the value of the thermal resistance.  相似文献

Charge-Pump Phase-locked loops are currently used in a variety of SoC signal generation applications. They ultimately determine performance of other SoC blocks, such as ADCs, DACs, RF and synchronisation functions. In many situations, only simple frequency lock tests are carried out on the CP-PLL portion of a circuit, with other complex direct jitter tests being carried out indirectly at a higher system level. Although these higher level system tests must generally be carried out at some point they can be time consuming. In addition, if the PLL is designed and operating correctly the PLL system will generally have far better performance than the system it is driving. This paper investigates typical jitter output responses of CP-PLLs when subjected to selected forward path leakage faults. The evaluation platform consists of a macro level mixed signal based PLL-Model. Degradation of the PLL output is evaluated from the phase noise spectrum, jitter spectrum and sideband spur degradation. Further evaluations and analysis are supplied relating block level effects to jitter and phase noise. Investigations are made as to the efficacy of detection of these errors with simple measurement techniques. The crux of the work is thus initially to develop techniques to aid evaluation of the likely jitter performance of a CP-PLL system without resorting to direct measurement techniques.Martin John Burbidge Is currently employed as a lecturer for the Microsystems research group at Lancaster University. He worked towards a HND in mechanical and electrical engineering from 1985 to 1987. From 1993 to 1996 he studied technology, mathematical modelling, and embedded micro controller design with the Open University. He received a first class honours degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from Lancaster University in 1999. From March 2000, he was employed as a Research associate at Lancaster University and has been investigating and developing innovative test techniques and test paradigm shifts for Phase locked loops and frequency synthesis systems. During this period he has produced eleven conference and six journal publications. He also carries out his own consultancy activities in this area. The main objective is to create a secured classifier for datasets based on clustering algorithm. K-means algorithm is one of the efficient techniques for mining large databases based on cloud computing platform to store large database with least cost. Cloud computing allows users to outsource their data. For multi-dimensional data the clustering technique is implemented which performs clustering of related elements without advance knowledge. The K-nearest neighbor classification is analyzed by using dataset under different conditions of parameters. In view of the above, the development of data management with a cloud computing is gaining more attention towards multi-dimensional datasets. It is a challenging task to obtain secured data in evolution of data mining technique based on cloud computing employed using classifier techniques. Quality of education depends largely on teacher’s ability, performance, knowledge, assessment and prediction on the basis of data mining techniques and clustering. These approaches permit the educational institution to decide and evaluate the classification rule to determine and recruit the best teacher based on knowledge by using cloud database which is a challenging task. The proposed technique provides secured cloud computing details regarding teacher’s recruitment, privacy of user’s input query, selecting the best teacher and hides the access patterns on cloud. The proposed idea is computed by extracting the data and proves that it provides better accuracy for selecting the best teachers and also improves the speed and constancy of recruitment application. The teacher’s recruitment is used in evaluating the ranks based on performance so that, the institution takes a better decision for recruitment.

The methodology of modeling and simulation of environmentally induced faults in radiation hardened SOI/SOS CMOS IC’s is presented. It is realized at three levels: CMOS devices – typical analog or digital circuit fragments – complete IC’s. For this purpose, a universal compact SOI/SOS MOSFET model for SPICE simulation software with account for TID, dose rate and single event effects is developed. The model parameters extraction procedure is described in great depth taking into consideration radiation effects and peculiarities of novel radiation-hardened (RH) SOI/SOS MOS structures. Examples of radiation-induced fault simulation in analog and digital SOI/SOS CMOS LSI’s are presented for different types of radiation influence. The simulation results show the difference with experimental data not larger than 10–20% for all types of radiation.  相似文献
