Rough sets theory and fuzzy sets theory are mathematical tools to deal with uncertainty, imprecision in data analysis. Traditional rough set theory is restricted to crisp environments. Since theories of fuzzy sets and rough sets are distinct and complementary on dealing with uncertainty, the concept of fuzzy rough sets has been proposed. Type-2 fuzzy set provides additional degree of freedom, which makes it possible to directly handle highly uncertainties. Some researchers proposed interval type-2 fuzzy rough sets by combining interval type-2 fuzzy sets and rough sets. However, there are no reports about combining general type-2 fuzzy sets and rough sets. In addition, the $\alpha $ -plane representation method of general type-2 fuzzy sets has been extensively studied, and can reduce the computational workload. Motivated by the aforementioned accomplishments, in this paper, from the viewpoint of constructive approach, we first present definitions of upper and lower approximation operators of general type-2 fuzzy sets by using $\alpha $ -plane representation theory and study some basic properties of them. Furthermore, the connections between special general type-2 fuzzy relations and general type-2 fuzzy rough upper and lower approximation operators are also examined. Finally, in axiomatic approach, various classes of general type-2 fuzzy rough approximation operators are characterized by different sets of axioms.  相似文献

When dealing with vagueness, there are situations when there is insufficient information available, making it impossible to satisfactorily evaluate membership. The intuitionistic fuzzy set theory is more suitable than fuzzy sets to deal with such problem. In 1996, Atanassov proposed the mapping from intuitionistic fuzzy sets to fuzzy sets. Furthermore, intuitionistic fuzzy sets are isomorphic to interval valued fuzzy sets, and interval valued fuzzy sets are regarded as the special cases of type-2 fuzzy sets in recently studies. However, their discussions are not only hardly comprehending but also lacking the reliable applications. In this study, the advantage of type-2 fuzzy sets is employed, and the switching relation between type-2 fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets is defined axiomatically. The switching results are applied to show the usefulness of the proposed method in pattern recognition and medical diagnosis reasoning.  相似文献

Neuro-fuzzy systems have been proved to be an efficient tool for modelling real life systems. They are precise and have ability to generalise knowledge from presented data. Neuro-fuzzy systems use fuzzy sets – most commonly type-1 fuzzy sets. Type-2 fuzzy sets model uncertainties better than type-1 fuzzy sets because of their fuzzy membership function. Unfortunately computational complexity of type reduction in general type-2 systems is high enough to hinder their practical application. This burden can be alleviated by application of interval type-2 fuzzy sets. The paper presents an interval type-2 neuro-fuzzy system with interval type-2 fuzzy sets both in premises (Gaussian interval type-2 fuzzy sets with uncertain fuzziness) and consequences (trapezoid interval type-2 fuzzy set). The inference mechanism is based on the interval type-2 fuzzy Łukasiewicz, Reichenbach, Kleene-Dienes, or Brouwer–Gödel implications. The paper is accompanied by numerical examples. The system can elaborate models with lower error rate than type-1 neuro-fuzzy system with implication-based inference mechanism. The system outperforms some known type-2 neuro-fuzzy systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we use Zadeh's extension principle to extend Kosko's definition of the fuzzy subsethood measure $S(G,H)$ to type-2 fuzzy sets defined on any set $X$ equipped with a measure. Subsethood is itself a fuzzy set that is a crisp interval when $G$ and $H$ are interval type-2 sets. We show how to compute this interval and then use the result to compute subsethood for general type-2 fuzzy sets. A definition of subsethood for arbitrary fuzzy sets of type- $n ≫ 2$ is then developed. This subsethood is a type-( $n-1$) fuzzy set, and we provide a procedure to compute subsethood of interval type-3 fuzzy sets.   相似文献

采用集合论的方法给出了单位模糊集合和二型模糊集合及其在一点的限制等定义,使得二型模糊集合更易于理解.通过定义嵌入单位模糊集合来描述一般二型模糊集合,并给出离散、半连通二型模糊集合的表达式.根据论域、主隶属度及隶属函数的特性将二型模糊集合分为四种类型:离散、半连通、连通及复合型,并根据连通的特点将连通二型模糊集合分为单连通及多连通两类.利用支集的闭包(Closure of support,CoS)划分法表述主隶属度及区间二型模糊集合.提出了CoS二、三次划分法分别来表述单、复连通二型模糊集合,并使每一个子区域的上下边界及次隶属函数在该子区域上的限制分别具有相同的解析表述式.最后,探讨了二型模糊集合在一点的限制、主隶属度、支集、嵌入单位模糊集合之间的关系.  相似文献

经典截集是联系模糊集和清晰集的桥梁。犹豫模糊集作为经典模糊集的拓展,它的相关理论研究还不够深入,特别是它与经典Ⅰ型模糊集以及其他模糊集之间的关系还缺少讨论。通过分析犹豫模糊集与Ⅰ型模糊集、区间Ⅱ型模糊集之间的关系,引入了犹豫模糊集的α-截集的概念并讨论其性质,根据该截集推导出犹豫模糊集的分解(表示)定理和更普适的扩展原则。通过分析相关性质及仿真实例,说明了犹豫模糊集的截集概念的合理性,为犹豫模糊多属性决策和聚类分析等问题提供了新的方法。这些结果也极大丰富了犹豫模糊集的相关基础理论。  相似文献

Traditional fuzzy sets capture vagueness through precise numeric membership degrees. This poses a dilemma of excessive precision in describing uncertain phenomenon. Interval type-2 fuzzy sets have shown its effectiveness in handling uncertainties in comparison to the traditional fuzzy sets. In this paper, the interval type-2 fuzzy approach is introduced into the framework of active contour model, which effectively segment images with large uncertainties. However, the computational cost is largely increased by employing the interval type-2 fuzzy set. Therefore, we try to update the pixels within a narrow band region near the contour boundary for reducing the computational cost caused by employing the interval type-2 fuzzy set. Moreover, both spatial and gray constraints are taken into consideration when calculating the fuzzy membership value to retain more image details. Experimental results on synthetic and real images show that the proposed method is effective and efficient, and is relatively independent of initial conditions.  相似文献

The theory of interval type-2 fuzzy sets is valuable for modeling impressions in multiple-criteria decision analysis problems. Based on signed distances, we develop a new linear assignment method to produce an optimal preference ranking of the alternatives in accordance with a set of criterion-wise rankings and a set of criterion importance within the context of interval type-2 trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Applying the proposed method to a case involving the selection of a landfill site, we demonstrate that the proposed method is easy to employ and that it produces actionable results that aid the decision-making process. The proposed interval type-2 fuzzy linear assignment method utilizes signed distances, does not require a complicated computation procedure and will be beneficial to decision analysis.  相似文献

This paper uses Gaussian interval type-2 fuzzy set theory on historical traffic volume data processing to obtain a 24- hour prediction of traffic volume with high precision. A K-means clustering method is used in this paper to get 5 minutes traffic volume variation as input data for the Gaussian interval type-2 fuzzy sets which can reflect the distribution of historical traffic volume in one statistical period. Moreover, the cluster with the largest collection of data obtained by K-means clustering method is calculated to get the key parameters of type-2 fuzzy sets, mean and standard deviation of the Gaussian membership function. Using the range of data as the input of Gaussian interval type-2 fuzzy sets leads to the range of traffic volume forecasting output with the ability of describing the possible range of the traffic volume as well as the traffic volume prediction data with high accuracy. The simulation results show that the average relative error is reduced to 8% based on the combined K-means Gaussian interval type-2 fuzzy sets forecasting method. The fluctuation range in terms of an upper and a lower forecasting traffic volume completely envelopes the actual traffic volume and reproduces the fluctuation range of traffic flow.   相似文献

Autonomous mobile robots navigating in changing and dynamic unstructured environments like the outdoor environments need to cope with large amounts of uncertainties that are inherent of natural environments. The traditional type-1 fuzzy logic controller (FLC) using precise type-1 fuzzy sets cannot fully handle such uncertainties. A type-2 FLC using type-2 fuzzy sets can handle such uncertainties to produce a better performance. In this paper, we present a novel reactive control architecture for autonomous mobile robots that is based on type-2 FLC to implement the basic navigation behaviors and the coordination between these behaviors to produce a type-2 hierarchical FLC. In our experiments, we implemented this type-2 architecture in different types of mobile robots navigating in indoor and outdoor unstructured and challenging environments. The type-2-based control system dealt with the uncertainties facing mobile robots in unstructured environments and resulted in a very good performance that outperformed the type-1-based control system while achieving a significant rule reduction compared to the type-1 system.  相似文献

描述逻辑由于其强大的描述能力与成熟的推理算法而被广泛应用。然而,经典描述逻辑局限于处理确定的概念和关系,从而导致描述逻辑很难处理类似语义网等大型本体系统中的模糊知识。虽然1型模糊集可以一定程度上减轻不确定性带来的影响,但是其采用确定的隶属度值来决定模糊度的方法是不够精准的。与之相比,基于2型模糊集的系统能够利用隶属度区间更加精确地描述模糊信息。本文给出描述逻辑ALC的2型模糊扩展形式,并且给出并分析了2型模糊ALC的描述和推理方法。最后使用2型模糊ALC建立了一个基于模糊本体的信任管理系统FOntoTM。  相似文献

In this paper, a class of generalized fuzzy rough sets based on two universes are studied. Some new set-valued mappings and fuzzy set-valued mappings are introduced to discuss properties of the known model, and a new model for fuzzy rough sets is proposed which provides a new selection of interval structure for uncertainty reasoning using rough set theory. Some properties of the new model are revealed. The new model seems to be more natural in the sense that fuzzy sets are approximated by fuzzy sets on the same universe.  相似文献

Type-1 fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs) have been applied to date with great success to many different applications. However, for dynamic unstructured environments and many real-world applications, there is a need to cope with large amounts of uncertainties. The traditional type-1 FLC using crisp type-1 fuzzy sets cannot directly handle such uncertainties. A type-2 FLC using type-2 fuzzy sets can handle such uncertainties to produce a better performance. Hence, type-2 FLCs will have the potential to overcome the limitations of type-1 FLCs and produce a new generation of fuzzy controllers with improved performance for many applications, which require handling high levels of uncertainty. This paper introduces briefly the interval type-2 FLC and its benefits. This paper develops new methods based on the preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluations (PROMETHEE) that use a signed distance-based approach within the environment of interval type-2 fuzzy sets for multiple criteria decision analysis. The theory of interval type-2 fuzzy sets provides an intuitive and computationally feasible way of addressing uncertain and ambiguous information in decision-making fields. Many studies have developed multiple criteria decision analysis methods in the context of interval type-2 fuzzy sets; most of these methods can be characterized as scoring or compromising models. Nevertheless, the extended versions of outranking methods have not been thoroughly investigated. This paper establishes interval type-2 fuzzy PROMETHEE methods for ranking alternative actions among multiple criteria based on the concepts of signed distance-based generalized criteria and comprehensive preference indices. We develop interval type-2 fuzzy PROMETHEE I and interval type-2 fuzzy PROMETHEE II procedures for partial and complete ranking, respectively, of the alternatives. Finally, the feasibility and applicability of the proposed methods are illustrated by a practical problem of landfill site selection. A comparative analysis is also performed with ordinary fuzzy PROMETHEE methods to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

This paper first proposes a type-2 neural fuzzy system (NFS) learned through its type-1 counterpart (T2NFS-T1) and then implements the built IT2NFS-T1 in a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) chip. The antecedent part of each fuzzy rule in the T2NFS-T1 uses interval type-2 fuzzy sets, while the consequent part uses a Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) type with interval combination weights. The T2NFS-T1 uses a simplified type-reduction operation to reduce system training time and hardware implementation cost. Given a training data set, a TSK type-1 NFS is first learned through structure and parameter learning. The built type-1 fuzzy logic system (FLS) is then extended to a type-2 FLS, where highly overlapped type-1 fuzzy sets are merged into interval type-2 fuzzy sets to reduce the total number of fuzzy sets. Finally, the rule consequent and antecedent parameters in the T2NFS-T1 are tuned using a hybrid of the gradient descent and rule-ordered recursive least square (RLS) algorithms. Simulation results and comparisons with various type-1 and type-2 FLSs verify the effectiveness and efficiency of the T2NFS-T1 for system modeling and prediction problems. A new hardware circuit using both parallel-processing and pipeline techniques is proposed to implement the learned T2NFS-T1 in an FPGA chip. The T2NFS-T1 chip reduces the hardware implementation cost in comparison to other type-2 fuzzy chips.  相似文献

In this paper, interval type-2 fuzzy sets, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and the fuzzy control rules are synthesized to realize the control of unmanned vehicle in driving state and behavioral decisions. Compared to the type-1 fuzzy set, type-2 fuzzy sets have more advantages in handling the model based on uncertainties, linguistic information because the membership functions are fuzzy sets. Different membership functions are established for each factor when the unmanned vehicle is driving at different speed intervals. In addition, a new evaluation method is developed to analyze unmanned vehicle’s driving state. Finally, a set of dynamic fuzzy rules are sorted out, which can be applied to the unmanned vehicle’s behavioral decision-making and provide a new idea to related research.   相似文献

将二型直觉模糊集和粗糙集理论融合,建立二型直觉模糊粗糙集模型。首先,在二型直觉模糊近似空间中,定义了一对二型直觉模糊上、下近似算子,并讨论了二型直觉模糊关系退化为普通二型模糊关系和一般等价关系时,上、下近似算子的具体变化形式。然后,将普通二型模糊集之间包含关系的定义推广到了二型直觉模糊集,在此基础上研究了二型直觉模糊上、下近似算子的一些性质。最后,定义了自反的、对称的和传递的二型直觉模糊关系,并讨论了这3种特殊的二型直觉模糊关系与近似算子的特征之间的联系。该结论进一步丰富了二型模糊集理论和粗糙集理论,为二型直觉模糊信息系统的应用奠定了良好的理论基础。  相似文献
