The trigger logic for the Collider Detector Facility (CDF) at Fermilab is described. An analog/digital system constructs triggers based on clusters of energy in the calorimetry. These triggers are then combined with signals from the muon and central tracking systems to make a global trigger. Two levels of trigger logic have been implemented: a 'Level 1' trigger which is dead-timeless, and a more sophisticated Level 2 trigger. The rejection factor provided by these two systems will be 103 - 104.  相似文献

An online system of the underground neutrino detector, Super-Kamiokande is scheduled to be upgraded in 2008 together with front-end electronics. This detector consists of 50 000 tons of pure water equipped with about 13 000 photo-multipliers (PMTs) to detect Cherenkov light. The new online system is required to accept the dataflow of up to 800 MB/s from the front-end electronics and process them for the offline analysis. We will utilize a Gigabit Ethernet network and parallel data processing to handle this large amount of flow. In the new data acquisition scheme, we will not use a hardware event-trigger but read out every hit data from the front-end electronics and process them by the online farm. Therefore, there is no threshold of the number of PMT hits and the detector will become more sensitive to important cosmic-ray events such as relic neutrino from supernova and low energy solar neutrino. In addition to that, a dead-timeless system is desirable for the continuous measurement 365 days a year. In this paper, the detailed design of the upgraded online system and testing activities using prototypes will be described.  相似文献

同步定时触发系统是重离子同步加速器的控制核心,控制磁场电源对带电离子束进行同步加速,其对可靠性和定时精度要求高。在重离子治癌、材料辐照等领域的发展中,为了满足这些领域对重离子同步加速器小型化的需求,本文以NIOSII为核心处理器,结合FPGA上的可编程片上系统(SOPC),实现了一种基于可编程硬件的同步定时触发系统。该系统可控制延时精度,且使用灵活、可靠,易升级,向小型化的同步加速器及重离子治癌等应用工程提供了切实可行的方案。  相似文献

设计了一种基于CPLD和单片机控制、FLASH MEMORY(闪速大容量存储器)存储的新型存储测试系统。利用FLASH MEMORY的大容量存储特性,系统可实现多通道的同步采集,而且可以完成多次记录一次读数的功能。多路同步、高速采集、多次触发以及工作参数可调节的功能特性,扩展了存储测试系统的适用性,可广泛用于爆炸场的各种压力及温度测试。  相似文献

为了在兰州重离子加速器国家实验室(HIRFL)的放射性束流线(RIBLL1)上开展基于完全运动学测量的远离β稳定线奇异核反应机制的研究,需研制一套由多个独立的望远镜系统(探测模块)组成的带电粒子探测阵列。每个探测模块包含1块16×16的厚65μm的双面硅条探测器、1块4×4的厚1 000μm的像素硅探测器和由雪崩光二极管(APD)读出的4×4CsI(Tl)阵列探测器。该探测阵列可实现大的能量测量范围、高能量分辨率和位置分辨,同时具备大立体角覆盖和粒子关联测量的能力。通过Geant4探测器模拟软件对单个探测模块进行模拟,结合对探测模块各部分的实验测试,给出了探测模块的设计方案和整体性能指标。  相似文献

A series of approximately 100 laboratory images have been made with the ZEBRA astronomical telescope using a range of radioactive sources. These images were aimed at assessing the performance of the telescope and included combinations of point sources, extended sources, ring sources as well as vignetted sources. 方向测量电路在羊八井Muon望远镜中用于测定Muon粒子的入射方向.该望远镜由上下相隔一定距离两层6X4排列的塑料闪烁体探测器阵列构成,能探测77个Muon粒子的入射方向及各个方向入射粒子计数率.能监测记录到高计数率、窄脉宽的输入信号以及极短的死时间是Muon望远镜对方向探测电路的要求.借助资源丰富、高速的FPGA,在单个芯片上实现了Muon望远镜方向探测电路所要求的全部功能.此外由于FPGA提供在线编程,使得对系统的功能修改或升级非常方便.低功耗是基于FPGA的方向测量电路的另一大优势.  相似文献
