Results obtained in fabrication of light-transmitting ceramics based on yttrium-aluminum garnet are presented. The best optical properties were exhibited by ceramics with HfO2, ZrO2, or Sc2O3 additives introduced through salts by coprecipitation. It is established that the lateral bending strength of sheet glass produced by the float method depends on the position of
its float-side with respect to the load applied. If the side contacting tin (the float-side) in bending is in the tension
zone, the strength of the glass on the average decreases by 40% compared to its strength when the float-side is in the compression
zone. This phenomenon has to be taken into account in designing light-transmitting structures and three-layer glass.

A prototype pressure-sensitive adhesive that has a low refractive index (<1.36) and is optically clear has been developed (Holguin and Chang, US Patent 6703463, 2002). The refractive index is a key feature in the application of optical polymers, and this pressure-sensitive adhesive is particularly useful for light-transmitting devices. It is a fluoro-substituted mono-acrylate adhesive. Fluoro-polymers are known to have a low refractive index, but typically the fluoro-polymers are not sticky and are opaque because of their crystallinity. The design of this novel fluorosubstituted monoacrylate adhesive polymer is based on the rheological marriage of fluoro-polymers and pressure-sensitive adhesives. 相似文献

探讨了大厚度注塑件的堆积注塑成型和多次包胶注塑成型工艺,结合聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)材料性能,拟定车灯透光片采用一次注塑、二次包胶的注塑成型工艺;并完成了带二套独立热流道系统、含3个热流道喷嘴、由具有旋转分度功能的顶出旋转机构组成、具有六工位的注塑模具设计。使用效果表明:采用多次包胶注塑成型工艺,可有效实现对外观质量要求较高、厚度大、成型时间长,用普通模具成型工艺难以完成的注塑产品的成型。 相似文献

将甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)苯乙烯(St)在氯化聚乙烯(CPE)存在下进行悬浮溶胀接枝共聚,获得MCS树脂。本文着重考察了MCS树脂的结构与性能。结果表明,连续相的透光性、橡胶相CPE的含量、两相折光指数的匹配都显著地影响MCS树脂的透明性;接枝可以改善MCS的抗冲强度,适当提高接枝率有利于MCS抗冲强度的进一步提高,但不利于其加工流动性;塑料相分子量的降低虽降低了MCS的抗冲强度,但可改善其加工流动性。 相似文献
