Elastic cross sections for the 7Li + 27Al system were measured at laboratory energies between 7 and 11 MeV in steps of 0.25 MeV, and angles between 135° and 170° in steps of 5°. Excitation functions for the elastic scattering were measured using an array of eight Si surface-barrier detectors whereas a solid-state telescope was used to estimate and subtract background from other reactions. Contamination from α particles arising from the 7Li breakup process at Elab ? 10 MeV makes the use of these energies inadvisable for RBS applications. The present results are compared with previous data obtained at 165° (Elab ? 6 MeV), 140° and 170° (Elab ? 8 MeV). The experimental data were analyzed in terms of the Optical Model. Two different energy-independent potentials were found. These optical potentials allow an interpolation with physical meaning to other energies and scattering angles. The experimental cross sections will be uploaded to the IBANDL database.  相似文献

L X-ray production cross sections and their ratios in Ta, W and Pt have been measured for the bombardment of protons in the energy range 2–5.2 MeV in steps of 0.4 MeV. The data in the energy range 3.8–5.2 MeV have not been reported so far. The X-ray production cross sections compare well (within 10%) with theoretical values obtained using the decay yield parameters of Krause and ECPSSR and Relativistic Plane Wave Born Approximation-with Binding energy and Coulomb deflection correction (RPWBA-BC) ionization cross sections. The derived relative X-ray intensity ratios are in good agreement with theory, within the combined uncertainties of theory and experiments. Comparison with previously published experimental results is also presented in this paper.  相似文献

Activation cross sections of (n, p) and (n, α) reactions were measured by means of the activation method in the neutron energy range of 3.5–5.9 MeV using a deuterium gas target. The irradiated target isotopes were 27Al, 28,29Si, 41K, 51V, 61Ni, 65Cu, 64,67Zn, 69Ga, 79Br, 92Mo and 93Nb. The cross sections of the 29Si(n, p) 29Al, 67Zn(n, p) 67Cu, 69Ga(n, p) 69mZn, 79Br(n, p) 79mSe, and 69Ga(n, α) 66Cu reactions were obtained for the first time in the studied energy range. The d-D neutrons were generated by the deuterium gas target at the Van de Graaff accelerator (KN-VdG) at Nagoya University. All cross section values were determined relative to those of the 115In(n, n′)115mIn reaction. The activities induced by the low-energy neutrons were corrected. For the corrections, the neutron spectra and mean neutron energies at the irradiation positions were calculated taking into account the energy loss of incident deuterons, the angular differential cross section of the d-D reaction and the solid angle subtended by the sample. The systematics of the (n, p) reactions at the neutron energy of 5.0 MeV in the mass range between 27 and 92 were proposed for the first time. This systematics can predict the cross sections within an accuracy of a factor of 1.6.  相似文献

The study of the stopping and range of heavy ions (Z > 3) in matter isdsc cfddc of both fundamental and practical interest as heavy ions find increasing usage in a wide range of ion beam based techniques. While semi-empirical formulations like the widely used SRIM code can predict the stopping powers of hydrogen and helium in many elemental and compound targets over a wide range of energies quite well, their predictive accuracy for heavy ions is not as good. This is mainly due to the lack of heavy ion experimental stopping power data on which such codes are based. We present results of measurements performed using a Time of Flight–Energy spectrometer to determine the stopping powers of O, F, Mg and Al ions in the oxide ceramic ZrO2 within the 0.1–0.6 MeV/u energy range. Possible SRIM correction (or correlation) factors for F, Mg and Al ions were extracted from quantitative comparisons of experimental and predicted stopping power values.  相似文献

采用薄靶对能量0.962.74MeV质子在纯度为99.99%铝上的160非卢瑟福弹性背散射截面进行了测量。质子束由21.7MV串列加速器提供,测量仪器采用金硅面垒探测能谱仪。实验中最低能区进入卢瑟福弹性散射能区,测量结果用图表形式给出,并与以前发表的结果进行了比较。所测量数据可供从事背散射分析技术的有关人员参考。  相似文献

The cross sections for the elastic scattering of protons from tritium at 151° and from helium at 155° angles in the laboratory frame, over the energy range of 1.2-3.4 MeV, have been measured in the present work, as a supplement to previous cross section measurements determined at different scattering angles recently. The currently measured cross section data are compared to data available in literature. The cross section enhancement was also investigated for both reactions. It was found that over the whole measured energy range, the elastic cross section for protons on tritium increases linearly with energy and is about 1000 times greater than the Rutherford cross section at 3.4 MeV. On the other hand, in the case of the elastic scattering of protons from helium, the cross section below 2.3 MeV increases almost linearly, and reaches a maximum of about 300 mb/str at the energy of 2.4 MeV for the scattering angle of 165°, and then, after this energy, it keeps oscillating around the maximum.  相似文献

The total electron scattering cross sections (TCS) of C2H2 and C3H4 have been obtained for 200-4500 eV electrons by measuring the attenuation of the electron beam through a gas cell. An empirical expression is deduced to express the TCS of normal hydrocarbons as a function of the number of atomic constituencies in the hydrocarbon and the electron energy.  相似文献

Measurement of inelastic scattering cross sections of 8 MeV protons on carbon has been carried out in the 30-170° angular range. The excitation functions for the 1.73 MeV-resonance have been measured in the 1-2 MeV energy range at 110°, 115° and 150°. At low energy range, the additivity rule cannot give good total electron scattering cross sections for CH3OH (methanol) and CH3CH2OH (ethanol) molecules. This is because electron-molecule scattering is reduced to electron-atom scattering in the additivity rule method. In this paper, considering the difference between the bound atom in the molecule and the free atom, the additivity rule has been revised. With the revised additivity rule, the total cross sections for electron scattering from CH3OH and CH3CH2OH molecules over a wide energy range from 10 to 1000 eV have been calculated and compared with the available experimental and theoretical data. Better agreement is obtained. Above 500 eV, there exist no experimental data, so the present calculations can give a reference for further experimental studies.  相似文献

The differential cross-sections for elastic scattering of 4He ions by carbon atoms were measured at scattering angles of 30°, 45°, 60°, 135° and 150° in the energy range from 2 to 4.8 MeV. Up to now mostly data for angles larger than 150° were published in the literature. A thick carbon target with a thin evaporated Cu layer on the surface was used for the measurement. The number of impinging projectiles was obtained from the He ions scattered by the Cu layer assuming Rutherford cross-sections. The carbon scattering cross-sections were then obtained from comparison of measured He energy spectra with the simulated ones. Above 2 MeV all evaluated cross-sections become non-Rutherford. Deviations from Rutherford cross-sections are about 50% for 30° scattering angle and amount up to a factor 30 for 150° scattering angle. The measured experimental cross-sections were compared with the calculated theoretical cross-sections and already published data. Satisfactory agreement was obtained for all measured scattering angles and energies.  相似文献

Gamma ray production cross sections for the stronger gamma rays from nuclei excited by neutron bombardment of Mg, Al, Si, Ca and Fe have been measured using a time analyzed, quasi-mono-energetic neutron beam and a high-purity germanium detector. The results for neutron energies of 6.5, 17.4, 22.2, 32.5, 42.1 and 64.5 MeV are presented.  相似文献
