This paper describes a recent experiment in the design, implementation and application of a programming language designed specifically for distributed systems. The fundamental nature of such systems is used in the derivation of an experimental language, which is described and illustrated. Having outlined an implementation, the project is evaluated and some of the more significant findings are reported. In particular, the paper discusses (and argues for) an explicit language facility for expressing the distribution of a program over an actual system.  相似文献

In many areas of control there are gaps between the existing theory and applications. This is more so in hybrid infinite dimensional systems and in particular hybrid systems in which both the actuator and the controller are switched. The main objective of this paper is to start filling in one of these gaps. We present a theoretical formulation and provide methodologies for implementing optimal and switching policies of spatially scheduled actuators for a class of distributed parameter systems (DPS). The optimization method employed is based on finite horizon LQR optimal control. Well posedness and optimality, pertaining to the switching policies of spatially scheduled actuators, are presented and proven. Tutorial examples motivated by thermal manufacturing applications along with extensive simulation results of the proposed actuator-plus-controller switching scheme are presented.  相似文献

This paper presents an approach to the selection of optimal sensor locations in distributed parameter systems, which distinguishes the purposes of state estimation from the purposes of parameter estimation. In the first case, the optimality criterion is based on a measure of independence between the sensor responses, while in the second case, it is based on a measure of independence between the parameter sensitivity functions. The procedure, which is general and can be applied to models with any degree of complexity, is illustrated with the optimal placement of temperature sensors in a catalytic fixed-bed reactor. Some numerical results for the on-line estimation of temperature and concentration profiles as well as for the estimation of unknown model parameters are discussed.  相似文献

The problem of optimal experiment design for parameter estimation in linear dynamic systems is studied. Results relating to both constrained input and output variances are established. For the case of constrained input variance, it is shown that a D-optimal experiment exists in which the system input is generated externally provided the system and noise transfer functions have no common parameters. For the case of constrained output variance, it is shown that an experiment in which the system input is generated by a combination of a minimum variance control law together with an external set point perturbation is D-optimal for certain classes of systems. Other related results are also presented which illustrate the role of feedback in optimal experiment design.  相似文献

Optimal Experiment Design (OED) is a well-developed concept for regression problems that are linear-in-the-parameters. In case of experiment design to identify nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno (TS) models, non-model-based approaches or OED restricted to the local model parameters (assuming the partitioning to be given) have been proposed. In this article, a Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) based OED method is proposed that considers local model and partition parameters. Due to the nonlinear model, the FIM depends on the model parameters that are subject of the subsequent identification. To resolve this paradoxical situation, at first a model-free space filling design (such as Latin Hypercube Sampling) is carried out. The collected data permits making design decisions such as determining the number of local models and identifying the parameters of an initial TS model. This initial TS model permits a FIM-based OED, such that data is collected which is optimal for a TS model. The estimates of this first stage will in general not be ideal. To become robust against parameter mismatch, a sequential optimal design is applied. In this work the focus is on D-optimal designs. The proposed method is demonstrated for three nonlinear regression problems: an industrial axial compressor and two test functions.  相似文献

This paper presents a simulation aided approach for designing organizational structures in manufacturing systems. The approach is based on a detailed modeling and characterization of the forecasted order program, especially of elementary processes, activity networks and manufacturing orders. Under the use of the organization modeling system FORM, that has been developed at the ifab-Institute of Human and Industrial Engineering of the University of Karlsruhe, structuring strategies—e.g., a process-oriented strategy—can be applied in order to design organizational structures in manufacturing systems in a flexible and efficient way. Following that, a dynamical analysis of the created manufacturing structures can be carried out with the simulation tool FEMOS, that has also been developed at the ifab-Institute. The evaluation module of FEMOS enables to measure the designed solutions with the help of logistical—e.g., lead time degree—and organizational—e.g., degree of autonomy—key data. This evaluation is the basis for the identification of effective manufacturing systems and also of improvement potentialities. Finally, a case study is presented in this paper designing and analyzing different organizational structures of a manufacturing system where gear boxes and robot grip arms were manufactured.  相似文献

针对一类状态时滞的分布参数系统,考虑了传感器/执行器间的防碰撞问题和最大通讯距离的最小通讯能耗问题,以及系统的稳定性问题.利用抽象发展方程理论和Lyapunov稳定性方法,设计了一种基于时滞分布参数系统的智能体移动控制策略,包括输出反馈控制器和移动控制力.通过理论推导和仿真实验验证,文中设计的控制策略能够使得时滞分布参数系统是渐近稳定的,同时智能体在移动过程中是防碰撞的,也验证了智能体在最大通讯距离的最小能耗.  相似文献

For a distributed parameter system with an input delay in the boundary, a feedback control law is presented by means of the backstepping method. The square integrability of input signal is verified based on the target system. Then, the boundedness and invertibility of the corresponding backstepping transformation are proved under the regularity of system and the admissibility of feedback operator. Thus, the resulting closed-loop system is shown to be exponentially stable. Finally, as an application, a numerical simulation of a one-dimensional Schrödinger equation with a delay input is carried out, and the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the suggested control law.  相似文献

In this paper, the design of the two-degree-of-freedom optimal Wiener–Hopf controller with asymptotic tracking and disturbance rejection constraints is studied. Based on the solvability conditions and the solution parameterization of Diophantine equations over the stable rational fractional ring M(s), the disturbance rejection problem in the general case is solved. A simple cost function is defined to reflect the transient performance of control signal caused by deterministic signals. Finally, the design of the two-degree-of-freedom optimal Wiener–Hopf controller is presented.  相似文献
