In this paper, we investigate state consensus problems for discrete-time multi-agent systems with changing communications topologies and bounded time-varying communication delays. The analysis in this paper is based on the properties of non-negative matrices. We first extend the model of networks of dynamic agents to the case with multiple time-delays and prove that if the communication topology, time-delays, and weighting factors are time-invariant, then the necessary and sufficient condition that the multi-agent system solves a consensus problem is that the communication topology, represented by a directed graph, has spanning trees. Then we allow for dynamically changing communication topologies and bounded time-varying communication delays, and present some sufficient conditions for state consensus of system. Finally, as a special case of our model, the problem of asynchronous information exchange is also discussed.  相似文献

This paper investigates the consensus problem of dynamical networks of multi-agents where each agent can only obtain noisy and delayed measurements of the states of its neighbors due to environmental uncertainties and communication delays. We consider general networks with fixed topology and with switching (dynamically changing) topology, propose consensus protocols that take into account both the noisy measurements and the communication time-delays, and study mean square average-consensus for multi-agent systems networked in an uncertain environment and with uniform communication time-varying delays. Using tools from differential equations and stochastic calculus, together with results from matrix theory and algebraic graph theory, we establish sufficient conditions under which the proposed consensus protocols lead to mean square average-consensus. Simulations are also provided to demonstrate the theoretical results.

In this paper, consensus problems in discrete-time multiagent systems with time-invariant delays are considered. In order to characterize the structures of communication topologies, the concept of "pre-leader-follower" decomposition is introduced. Then, a necessary and sufficient condition for state consensus is established. By this method, consensus problems in networks with a single time-delay, as well as with multiple time-delays, are studied, and some necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability of consensus problems are obtained.  相似文献

The present paper is devoted to the study of average consensus problems for undirected networks of dynamic agents having communication delays. By focusing on agents with integrator dynamics, the accent is put here on the study of the time-delay influence: both constant and time-varying delays are considered, as well as uniform and non-uniform repartitions of the delays in the network. The main results provide sufficient conditions (also necessary in most cases) for the existence of average consensus under bounded communication delays. Simulations are provided that show adequation with these results.  相似文献

This paper proposes a leader-following consensus control for continuous-time single-integrator multi-agent systems with multiplicative measurement noises and time-delays under directed fixed topologies. Each agent in the team receives imprecise information states corrupted by noises from its neighbours and from the leader; these noises are depending on the agents’ relative states information. Moreover, the information states received are also delayed by constant or time-varying delays. An analysis framework based on graph theory and stochastic tools is followed to derive conditions under which the tracking consensus of a constant reference is achieved in mean square. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is proved through some simulation examples.  相似文献

In this note, we study consensus problems for continuous-time multi-agent systems in directed networks with dynamically changing topologies and nonuniform time-varying delays. We have analyzed consensus problems in the following three cases: 1) directed networks with dynamically changing topologies and nonuniform time-varying delays; 2) directed networks with intermittent communication and data packet dropout; and 3) finite-time consensus in directed networks with dynamically changing topologies and nonuniform time-varying delays. We propose a new approach based on a tree-type transformation to investigate consensus problems in all three cases. Some necessary and/ or sufficient conditions are established. Simulation results are also given to demonstrate the theoretical results.   相似文献

In this paper, we study a general class of neural networks with discrete and distributed time-varying delays, whose neuron activations are discontinuous and may be unbounded or nonmonotonic. By using the Leray-Schauder alternative theorem in multivalued analysis, matrix theory and generalized Lyapunov-like approach, we obtain some sufficient conditions ensuring the existence, uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the periodic solution. Moreover, when all the variable coefficients and time delays are real constants, we discuss the global convergence in finite time of the neural network dynamical system. Our results extend previous works not only on discrete and distributed time-varying delayed neural networks with continuous or even Lipschitz continuous activations, but also on discrete and distributed time-varying delayed neural networks with discontinuous activations. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our main results.  相似文献

This paper considers the design of state estimator for Takagi?CSugeno (T?CS) fuzzy neural networks with mixed time-varying interval delays. The mixed time-delays that consist of both the discrete time-varying and distributed time-delays with a given range are presented. The activation functions are assumed to be globally Lipschitz continuous. By using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii method, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach is developed to construct sufficient conditions for the existence of admissible state estimator such that the error-state system is exponentially globally stable. To avoid complex mathematical derivations and conservative results, a new hybrid Taguchi-genetic algorithm method is integrated with a LMI method to seek the estimator gains that satisfy the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional stability inequalities. The proposed new approach is straightforward and well adapted to the computer implementation. Therefore, the computational complexity can be reduced remarkably and facilitate the design task of the estimator for T?CS fuzzy neural networks with time-varying interval delays. Two illustrative examples are exploited in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed state estimator.  相似文献

This work studies consensus strategies for networks of agents with limited memory, computation, and communication capabilities. We assume that agents can process only values from a finite alphabet, and we adopt the framework of finite fields, where the alphabet consists of the integers {0,…,p−1}{0,,p1}, for some prime number pp, and operations are performed modulo pp. Thus, we define a new class of consensus dynamics, which can be exploited in certain applications such as pose estimation in capacity and memory constrained sensor networks. For consensus networks over finite fields, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions on the network topology and weights to ensure convergence. We show that consensus networks over finite fields converge in finite time, a feature that can be hardly achieved over the field of real numbers. For the design of finite-field consensus networks, we propose a general design method, with high computational complexity, and a network composition rule to generate large consensus networks from smaller components. Finally, we discuss the application of finite-field consensus networks to distributed averaging and pose estimation in sensor networks.  相似文献

An important task for multi-agent systems (MAS) is to reach a consensus, e.g. to align their velocity vectors. Recent results propose appropriate consensus protocols to achieve such tasks, but most of them do not consider the effect of communication constraints such as the presence of time-delays in the exchange of information between the agents. In this article, we provide conditions for a non-linear, locally passive MAS of arbitrary size to reach a consensus, when the agents communicate over a packet-switched network that is characterised by a given topology. Both the cases of constant and switching topologies are considered. The nature of the communication channel imposes constraints that are modelled using stochastic delays of arbitrary distribution. We first embed this model in another, distributed but deterministic delay model and provide conditions for the error introduced by this simplification. In our main result, we provide conditions for the locally passive MAS with distributed delays to reach a consensus. In the case of a fixed topology, the underlying directed graph has to contain a spanning tree. In the case of a switching topology, only the union graph of all graphs that persist over time is required to contain a spanning tree. These conditions are independent of the distribution and the size of the packet delays. To show attractivity of the consensus set, we use an invariance principle for systems described by functional differential equations based on an appropriate Lyapunov–Razumikhin function. This methodological approach is the main contribution of this work and can also be applied to other consensus problems with delays. We illustrate our results by numerical simulations showing synchronisation of non-linear Kuramoto oscillators over a digital network.  相似文献

This paper aims to study the consensus problem in directed networks of agents with high-order integrator dynamics and fixed topology. It is considered the existence of non-uniform time-varying delays in the agents control laws for each interaction between agents and their neighbours. Based on Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theory and algebraic graph theory, sufficient conditions, in terms of linear matrix inequalities, are given to verify if consensus is achieved with guaranteed exponential convergence rate. The efficiency of the proposed method is verified by numerical simulations. The simulations reveal that the conditions established in this work outperformed the similar existing ones in all numerical tests accomplished in this paper.  相似文献

This paper investigates group consensus tracking problems with time-varying reference velocities. The multiple agents are described as second-order nonlinear dynamics in directed information exchange settings. For the multi-agent networks formed by finite agent groups, novel distributed protocols with/without time-varying transmission delays are designed to solve the group consensus tracking problems. The problems are first transformed into the asymptotical stability of consensus error systems and the input-to-state stability of tracking error systems, and then sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the agents realizing the group consensus tracking based on Lyapunov stability theories. Finally, several simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper investigates the exponential stability for a class of mixed delayed genetic regulatory networks by periodically intermittent control, mixed delays here include time-varying delays and finite distributed delays. Some sufficient criteria for exponential stabilization are derived by using mathematical induction methods and the analysis techniques. Finally, an example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper investigates the average consensus problem in directed networks of multi-agent systems with uncertain time-varying delays. Fixed and switching topologies that are kept weakly connected and balanced are firstly analyzed. The original system is then transformed into a reduced dimension model. Based on Jensen s inequality and reciprocally convex approach, sufficient conditions for average consensus are further presented. Specially, a less conservative upper bound of time-varying communication delays is derived in comparison with the existing results. Numerical examples confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

The target of this article is to study almost periodic dynamical behaviors for complex-valued recurrent neural networks with discontinuous activation functions and time-varying delays. We construct an equivalent discontinuous right-hand equation by decomposing real and imaginary parts of complex-valued neural networks. Based on differential inclusions theory, diagonal dominant principle and nonsmooth analysis theory of generalized Lyapunov function method, we achieve the existence, uniqueness and global stability of almost periodic solution for the equivalent delayed differential network. In particular, we derive a series of results on the equivalent neural networks with discontinuous activation functions, constant coefficients as well as periodic coefficients, respectively. Finally, we give a numerical example to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the derived theoretical results.

In this paper, average-consensus control is considered for networks of continuous-time integrator agents under fixed and directed topologies. The control input of each agent can only use its local state and the states of its neighbors corrupted by white noises. To attenuate the measurement noises, time-varying consensus gains are introduced in the consensus protocol. By combining the tools of algebraic graph theory and stochastic analysis, the convergence of these kinds of protocols is analyzed. Firstly, for noise-free cases, necessary and sufficient conditions are given on the network topology and consensus gains to achieve average-consensus. Secondly, for the cases with measurement noises, necessary and sufficient conditions are given on the consensus gains to achieve asymptotic unbiased mean square average-consensus. It is shown that under the protocol designed, all agents’ states converge to a common Gaussian random variable, whose mathematical expectation is just the average of the initial states.  相似文献
